I have had the original X80-GT for a couple of years now, and I love it! It's a pure floodlight, basically a wall of brilliant light. Yes, it does get a tad warm when you run it on the brighter settings, but nothing too bad.
I still have my Mag-Lite 4-D cell I bought when I worked as a bouncer 30 years ago. It's REALLY bright for about 20 minutes before losing its oomph. Before that I had a 1M candlepower spotlight I used for pizza delivering. Cop on a stakeout took it away when I accidentally lit him up looking for an address, lol. Whoops. As always, great review!
I have an AstroliteM1 and a number of Convoy lights that serve me well. My EmisarD4 with 4 high CRI Nichia 218B emiters is one of my favorites. You don't need to sell your first born.
Does it only have enough power for a total of 1 minute at it's max setting or is it stepping down to prevent over heating and will let you go back to 34000 after it cools down?
You can reactivate Turbo, but I haven't measured the total time. After a certain point, it just won't do Turbo anymore until you recharge to get the voltage back up.
Dandy "flashlight" comes with an Xtra-Dandy pricetag. There are dozens of models of AceBeam lights - from a reasonable $25 right up to $1,000. This X80GT-2 is closer to the high end than the lower. BTW, in my view, a flashlight that often requires two hands to find the "right" mode, and that has ten modes accessible by series of clicks isn't something I could use. For this kind of money I want a simple LOW-HIGH-OFF switch right on the handle. And forget the "strobe" mode. It just annoys me on my present flashlights because it's always showing up in the sequence.
You can get directly to low, your choice of standard, and turbo, or strobe, with 1 long, 1,2,3 clicks, so there's no need to navigate the long menu if you don't want to. Seems like the best of both worlds, but yeh, the button placement compared to the handle is a bit awkward.
@@MakeUseOf Often when I need a high powered light it's because in the middle of the night I hear something outside doing something I likely don't want them doing. That means I grab the light and dash to the door. At that point I want to hit ONE button and get light... like the "old days." Maybe I'm just too old for a lot of the modern gadgetry... like on the cars. Half the price is in the gadgets which are there only because they're GUARANTEED to break down and GUARANTEED to cost a bundle to fix. The worst part is that they're completely unnecessary in the first place.
A little drawback of considering this amazing product due to its Battery an old pattern or tech inappropriate for a modern flashlight tech likethis, 46950 a 32,000 mah is a must to obtain maximum power performance! Think about it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

"there are flashlights then there are Fleshlights"
The handle is made as part of a cooling system -not for "grip!
