    I've personally started to learn 3ds msx , but then switched to Rhino, and the reason is , that Rhino is more " Architect friendly" , because as an architect, i need more than a model , i need drawings, plans, sections, and alot more , I know that there's Autocad , but come on, with all the advanced softwares like Revit and Archicad , which allows you to edit anythting in 3d view and get it automatically in your drawing, I don't think that anyone would like to sit down god knows how many hours drawing a section from scratch, and in Rhino you can get drawings, I mean I love 3ds max and I started to learn it , but then i faced a lot of problems with the drawings, i wish that this subject gets covered by RUclipsrs such as you, because 3ds max is a great software, but in this period of time , and as a student, i don't want to sit down hours drawing my section , line by line, in the end i want to say , thank you for this great channel, I've leaned a lot from you :)

    Even if you have used the program, it is interesting to note that you can always learn something from the basics. I haven’t used that select by color - to put it in mind how it can be used for modeling. You always find something new in your modeling tools as you explore them more closely.
    At the moment, I am interested in how to make the models more parameterized, so that by adjusting some values, it affects the whole model.

    Great tutorial, but as a long time 3ds Max user, I can tell you to stay away from this software as far as you can, dis nothing but a buggy, cheap, lazy, constantly crashing piece of junk that costs 1800 bucks a year. When you start to use 3rd party engines like Corona or V-ray, max already struggles, but when you start to go into animation and kinematics, max just commits seppuku.
    The autodesk company died a long time ago and they really don't care about improving any of their software's. Move to Blender.

    • @3dworld617
      @3dworld617 2 года назад

      But blender can't beat 3ds max when its come to realistic rendering. Even there is no comparision with max's+vray+corona rendering.

    • @ArchVizArtist
      @ArchVizArtist  2 года назад

      Each software has its own issues and always can be improved 😀 However, this is great that we have so many options to choose from and everybody can make their own decision. 😀 I haven't tried Blender yet but it seems to be helpful for more and more 3d artists. I need to try it one day! Thanks for sharing your point of view!

    • @sqwert654

      the animation seems not to have changed since 2011. Can you even set bone axis?. Been using Max indie to learn archvis and optimise game assets from Fusion360 its pretty fast for and just set smoothing groups. Retopo is so slow as everything is single threaded and you end up using 12% of your total cpu power.

      @@3dworld617 People use UE5 for that now for archviz anyway
