I’m a junior at Texas State now...oh my lord how time flies! If I had known this video would get this many views I would have done my makeup lmao Idk if y’all care but Liv is still my best friend and we have lived only us together ever since we met here randomly :)
I was a transfer student when I came and was originally in Arnold Hall which has been torn down I believe. so I was really a junior when I came and i did go home on weekends but loved living there had the same roommate for 2 1/2 years and i really had a great experience. Having your own room for me at least was just awesome bc you have the privacy but you can still interact if you want to. I lived on the 1st floor bc my roommate was handicapped and it did get loud sometimes but we managed to deal with it. lol I do suggest bringing bins like she said just helps things be a little more organized. but honesty I loved it and would still choose to live there today. if you have questions this girl who did the video is awesome i dont know her but she seems awesome. I graduated in 2013 but would be happy to answer questions. One thing she says that you need to do is bring a mattress topper the bed is really slick so if u just have sheets on it it feels like youre sliding around so mattress topper for the bed is a must i feel. but yea I loved it.
Call Me Angelic that’s the permanent height for the one person occupancy rooms, but if you do the two person occupancy with the twin beds then those can be lofted!
Lauren Moreno if you have the floor plan where you have your own room with the full size bed then no but it is raised enough to fit big buckets under. If it is the floor plan where you share a room with a twin bed then yes you can loft it!
Claire Miller okay thanks i have the 2 bedroom with single room option and i know you can’t have another fridge if there’s only 2 people instead of four and i didn’t want the other girl roaching off my food but i also was trying to find a place to hide it lol
DateriusG well I was group one so I’m not exactly sure because I didn’t have a problem choosing my room. There is only three floors so it’s not that big and there’s not many rooms. On the other hand, my roommate was in the last group and she got my room because the girl who was placed originally decided to go somewhere else. I would think that you would be able to get a spot because if I remember correctly I was in a group me where people said that it filled AFTER group 2. It honestly just depends on how many people in group one want to live here I guess! Hope that helped
DateriusG two share a room and the beds are twin sized but the room is bigger. So the one room those two people share a bathroom and then the other room those two share a bathroom. Still two sinks and a shower and toilet for the two people
I just recently submitted my housing contract and my roommate and I want to get the San Marcos Hall. I have one question....I see that there is two different options for this hall? (Four people or Two people) I do I just get my and my best friend in the San Marcos dorm together without the other two people? Like how do i chose that one the room selection?
@@stephanieniemann489 hey I know you posted this a month ago and probably figured it out, but I’m picking my dorm there this week and figured it out if you still need help. Lmk!!

does San Marcos have a movie room like San Jacinto hall?
Maddie Flores yes it does!
what are you allowed to use to hang stuff on the walls ? like command strips, thumb tacks, etc.?
Kellsie Taylor I used command strips, tacks, and small nails. I just covered the big holes before I left with cock and it was fine
can you raise the beds more or is that the permanent height?
Call Me Angelic that’s the permanent height for the one person occupancy rooms, but if you do the two person occupancy with the twin beds then those can be lofted!
i’m living in san marcos hall this fall but i was wondering if this hall gives you an option to raise/ loft the bed for more storage?
Lauren Moreno if you have the floor plan where you have your own room with the full size bed then no but it is raised enough to fit big buckets under. If it is the floor plan where you share a room with a twin bed then yes you can loft it!

Lauren Moreno haha yeah you can put it anywhere in your room and you can always keep your door locked when you leave
Would you recommend a freshman moving into this type of dorm? Or rather a dorm where you share a room?
Amanda Medina I mean pretty much only freshman live in dorms. I am a freshman and I have a friend who shares a room and she hates it lol.
there is no stove ?
Alexis Moore no it’s a “kitchenette” not a kitchen, but they have a community kitchen by the front desk
What size couch and chair cover did you get?
hey a lot of people say san marcos hall fills up with group 1 of housing... is that true? or can people in group 2 still get san marcos hall?

great!! one more question!! if there’s for people to a one dorm, at san marcos hall, do they all have separate room or do two share a room?
DateriusG two share a room and the beds are twin sized but the room is bigger. So the one room those two people share a bathroom and then the other room those two share a bathroom. Still two sinks and a shower and toilet for the two people
by the way love the layout
how did you cover you couch and chair?
KRISTA HARPER i got couch and love seat covers from target!
What all does the dorm come with?
Kirsten Riley in the rooms: bed frame, mattress, dresser, desk, chair / living area: couch, loveseat, coffee table, side table, recycling bins
Oh and a mini fridge and microwave
did you bring the refrigerator or did it come with the dorm?
Desiree Villegas it came with the dorm!

wait so you have your own room technically? and also wdym when you say "if you can live here"?
itsjustlaiza yes you have your own room! And because it’s very expensive and it fills very fast. It may already be full by now!
Unless you do the four person then you don’t have your own room. But the two people you do
So could I get the snap ? 😂
