@@HunniHime I like to say something important to meaning quote to the Manga, Crystal and Eternal and that is to accept the things you cannot change, have the courage to change the thing you can and have the wisdom to know the difference, this prayer foreshadows of what it means and something that Sailor Moon have to choose in the final arc of the manga.

@@HunniHime I say that Sailor Moon Crystal and Eternal is not just a reboot what stays true to the manga but new timeline which means that the original Sailor Moon timeline have been erased so something what happened well it be because of the Justice league the Flashpoint Paradox I love that movie oh wait what if they was fourth Sailor Moon movie take place after Stars that focus on Sailor Jupiter story were Jupiter travel back in time somehow to save her parents but doing so it created a massive time paradox that alter the universe were Usage was never been born there no Sailor Moon, Luna and Artemis were never Awakened, Rei's Mother is Sailor Mars and die of an illness instead of her Mother, Mercury is half Cyborg working for the government, Uranus and Neptune are at war with each other because Uranus kill Manoru because Michiru betrayed her by falling in love with him so Haruka became Queen Uranus leading the Dead Moon Circus and Michiru became Empress Neptune leading the Dead Busters, Setsuna Sailor Pluto was captured and use as terrible experiment by the government, and Hotaru Sailor Saturn is use a Doomsday weapon that could destroy everything and Minako Sailor V is not awakened as Sailor Venus dies in a kamikaze attack on Empress Neptune Doomsday weapon and now must go back in time to fix this but then she encounterd an enemy how have the same powers as Jupiter saying that you the one how alter the timeline because you wanted to save your parents but then Mars kill her so that Jupiter can now go back in time to stop her past self from saving her parents when Makoto wakes up she didn't return her original timeline no she created hole new timeline now called Crystal and Eternal and everything is different Just like Justice League War through Justice League dark Apoklyps War, Makoto when to Rei's Shrine and tell everything that occured then Mako give Rei the letter from her mother then she cries and thanks her Mako leaves I think this takes place after Dream arc before Stars then after end credits a scene of D point inside the Ruins of the Dark Kingdom we seen the face of Queen Metalia staring laughing which it from the beginning of this new timeline were it began so is what happened is it possible how knows all I could said I can't wait for Eternal to adapt Stars around sometime in 2022 and this final arc starts the Chaos war almost like Justice league dark Apoklyps War and Stars is said to be the darkest arc I hope.

Someone said that part 1 felt like a series of anime episodes in a trench coat and they're so right! I also wondered why there was no opening song lol. Speaking of songs, I feel like there were parts that needed background music but didn't have any, which was odd. I noticed that, which I usually don't! Maybe it was just Toei cost cutting or the issues of trying to make movies during a pandemic, who knows? Anyway, I'm excited to see what you think of part 2... I enjoyed that much more than part 1, which was still good!

I really enjoyed it, but I can't help but feel a lot of corners were cut.
This is sadly a Toei thing and as long as Toei has the license to do the anime, this is probably the best we can expect.
I was enthralled all the way through, but I do think it's not a movie that any but hardcore fans are going to really enjoy.
The lazy animation in Moon's transformation and attack is unforgivable, but I did enjoy what we saw of the inners attacks and henshin, especially Mercury!

Great video! I'm new here. I was a part of the aforementioned watch party with you ladies. It was a blast!
I do agree with you on most fronts, but I watched the movie subbed, as that's how I prefer to watch anything anime/anime-related, but the Viz dub isn't the worst out there. I also over 9,000 times agree that this should have been a damn series! I was worried they'd ruin the Dream arc story line (thankfully they didn't IMO), and I was pleasantly surprised at the order of events vs the 90s anime (I've not really thoroughly read the manga) i.e. the Usagi/ChibiUsa age swap so soon vs when it happens later on in the 90s SuperS TV anime equivalent. I was happy with the music for the most part, but nothing for me matches the late Arisawa Takanori's work... He was the composer of the 90s anime's music (BGM at least) and it's a shame he passed away in 2005 from some form of cancer. It would have been so awesome to see rearrangements of his 90s anime stuff, of just flat out brand new compositions for Eternal/Crystal alike. In terms of the animation, I really like that yeah it was a blend of all styles, but considering that the 90s SM anime was my first real anime, and hearing the sparkle sounds and attack sounds and whatnot during transformation and battle from the 90s anime, that's what allows me to somewhat forgive this being a set of movies vs even a 12 episode TV season, as was the rest of the Crystal remake thus far. Overall I did like the movies, but it could have been a bit better, IMHO.

In 2 movies we have 3 upgrades of sailormoon. :/ movies is not suitable for upgrading the chars for me because we really can't feel the excitement of character development here.

I feel like part 1 was squeezing in episodes like when each guardian needed to power up it felt repetitive and got boring fast. I’m glad in part 2 Saturn is just like here are your crystals enjoy your new power haha 😛

Sailor Moon Crystal is getting better and better!
season 1 had bad animation everywhere. even in the opening and had terrible transformations.
season 2 was much better but the attacks was not looking good at all! and the animation was still not good.
in season 3, the art style was a bit childish but the new transformations and attacks, actions were all so good! the new soldiers and the story was amazing! and it got good fight scenes that are memorable.
and in season 4 movies, they improved both the animation and the art style! but... it lacks action scenes and has too much not needed scenes. it also ruined and changed many scenes in the manga (Jupiter punching the mirror, they also changed the sailor soldiers melting and dying to turning into stones. BORING!)
I'm also really sad that Sailor Moon Crystal is not getting new fans because it's getting better and better! lots of people and new fans are dropping out at season 1 because they don't know how good the series are getting... how do you think about this problem? do you think toei should remake season 1 and 2 for the new fans?
