wow that is very cool.. Great Idea!! i would love do this to my tool box so when i bring it with me and around i can take some music with me at the same time :)
Josée, this was a fun little project and I can’t believe I didn’t have a shop cat in this video! Thanks so much for watching my videos. I really appreciate it.
I love this Gene! I've seen you use this speaker before and I have wanted to buy a DIY ukulele kit and use one of these speaker kits in the uke kit for some multi-use cool art decor. I have an unopened uke kit just sitting around. I think it may be time to order the Rockler kit and give it a shot in a video. I've just about rebranded my Etsy store and RUclips channel to be the same. Getting rid of both names and they will now be one. I'll keep you updated. Great vid as always!
I wonder how you would do with one of the many Bluetooth mp3 -mp5 multi media automotive car stereos a your choice of speakers in like maybe a small cooler or a plastic tool box and either a cpu or a Amazon type 12 v power supply and I wonder how it would turn out and what kind of sound quality and signal or wifi receiver reception it would receive just an idea gene sir.. think it would be a awesome fun project and a great video...
Hi Kyle, I’m not sure about the overall size of that speaker. I would suggest if you have a Harbor Freight in your area? They have a nice selection of these boxes. Also Northern Tool has these too.
Can you tell me why 6.5 marine will fit on an ammo box 17”L and about 1 tall and not on a. Plastic ammo box 17”Lx10.13”Wx13”H side by side on front of that box?
Nicely done sir ! Those bluetooth boards are all awful, u only listen to like 40% of the song’s quality, i used a board that got wifi, the quality is as good as an aux cable connection. But not as good as a Blu-ray player’s sound. I guess in the future they gonna add wifi to all bluetooth systems and add a zero to the price and call it next gen. Edit : Id recommend old 8ohms full range tv speakers also, they’re really great for listening
I have a Bose bluetooth speaker that sounds incredible but I had to pay $275. for it. But for $25. this one sounds pretty good. Technology is changing so fast. I can't keep up. Thanks so much for watching.
@@DIYGene even at 400$ with the best bluetooth amplifier you’ll still lose half the quality lets not even talk about 128kbps mp3 songs hahaha you’ll hate it, so what they do in most bluetooth speakers is give it more watts so that u dont notice a difference, try to listen to a song in bluetooth on the same amp n at same volume and then try to listen to it with aux cable or wifi because its lossless, you’ll hear a big difference, btw the one i used in my build is the Arylic Amplifier Board with WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0, i saw it on a Wifi speaker build on RUclips check it out if you want. And yes your speaker sounds great for the price, but still all bluetooth speakers sucks compared to wifi except if its a gigantic speaker box, then u wont notice anything

No offense, but it seems that maybe using a hole saw would’ve been much safer due to your shaky hands. I was getting quite nervous watching you use the blades.

I forgot to mention that it is recharged by a provided USB cable.
decal was the most technical part lol. Great vid Gene !

Hello Roy, Thanks so much for watching!
What would be a good plastic box size should I get that fit 6.5 1/2 150watt speaker?
damn that was SO freakin' NEAT ! Thank you bunches for the in depth "DIY" video...WOW ! ...I absolutely LOVED it ! 😎😎😎
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Fun project Gene!

@@DIYGene oh very cool
What kind of plastic ammo box size should I get 30mm,40mm 50mm for 2 6.5. 1/2 marine speaker to fit on the from side of the plastic box ?
What plastic dimension ammo would sug that fit this PLMR60W on the front side by side 15”x8”Wx10”H or 14”Lx15”Wx15”H?
Cool little project, Gene. Nice work, as always!👍😎
Thanks Dart Man!
@@DIYGene yep!🙂
Can you help me find a plastic ammo/dry marine box that fit 6.5. Speaker 7.4”Dx7.6”Wx7.1”H side by side on front thanks
Thanks for the video! Fyi, instead of lacquer thinner to clean the box, a little wd-40 would work, too. :)
Thats a great tip. Thanks so much for watching.
What would be a good knife should I use to cut 6.5. 1/2 round circle on a plastic toolbox?
Hi Kyle, I used an X-Actio and a retractable blade to cut the holes. Just take your time and do several passes.
Fun little project 🤩👍.

I was woundering 6.5 150watt white plye hydra marine speaker would fit on a plastic dry storage marine box 15.13x7.88”Wx10.3”H on front side by side?
Hi Kyle, I’m not sure about the overall size of that speaker. I would suggest if you have a Harbor Freight in your area? They have a nice selection of these boxes. Also Northern Tool has these too.
Great idea. Doesn't this need some kind of a battery though?
No! it comes with a USB cable to recharge. You can keep it in the box. I should have mentioned that. Thanks so much for watching.
3:42 "Did I read that wrong?" I make the same mistake in literally every DIY thing I do :)
I guess I should keep my glasses on all the time. LOL! Thanks for watching.

Minha Vida É Viver Na Estrada
Mauricio & Mauri
Composição: Ivone Ribeiro / Joel Marques
No dorso do asfalto, dentro do meu caminhão Sou caminhoneiro, eu sou peão
A minha vida é livre feito um pássaro no ar
Eu não tenho pressa de chegar
O laço da saudade não me prende o coração
A cada dia eu vivo uma paixão
Eu solto na banguela, deixo a vida me levar
Amando sem querer me apaixonar
