I love the increased viability of all the races. Not that the old tournaments were bad, but it was constantly orcs and vampire counts.... the dreaded vampire vs vampire mirror matches. With IcePower doing their best to try and make the dark elves work. But that was back when we only had land battles and special rules to make the tournaments work. CA is really upping their game and it’s awesome for the game and your tournaments.
The rogue idols are not meta sure, but your opponent danced around them expertly. You say it has been fighting the whole time, but they only waddled because of constant move orders/kiting. Given their speed, constant orders is a death sentence for their value.
Love the Waaaagh action! Watching Grimgor take it to a Bloodthirster made my day. I really wish Grimgor was more well-rounded and viable in more match-ups.

the hell was happening in that first game vs Khorne? Grimgor gets broken at 10% hp, enemy lord has 30 leadership at 10% hp, and all the leadership break on full health units. That's hard to get even in campaign. I call shenanigans.
Grimgor was fully isolated in enemy troops while the bloodthirster was embedded in it's own troops. + demons ignore some of the LD penalties in the game.
@@Slithy yes demons ignore a couple of LD debuffs just like undead do (nearby routing allies, under missile/artillery fire are the ones I can think of of the top of my head)
@@olafthemoose9413 That is so not obvious. But why? I get the routing part, because they themselves do not rout, but why wouldn't they be discouraged by artillery? Do they perhaps like being shot at by boulders bigger than their head?
Rogue Idols needed to be sat on the elite infantry. There was a Chosen on each side to target, so you could have split them and used your skirmish cav and Bjuna to keep the axe throwers honest (since they were the only real threats to the big boys)
I think orc boy spears are not the best, they are terrible vs infantry and beastmen have really stronk inf, I prefer goblin spears as a tar pit unit then use either archers or orc boar boy bigunz to kill large

Turin has a habit of over-microing units and thus preventing them from actually completing their orders.
