This was in my opinion, as a life long BJ fan and veteran of many tours/shows, the bands finest hour and greatest live song, performance!!! This was a special day, one never to forget and the band have never reached these heights of natural beauty ever since....performances today are strained, and a bit Hollywood for my liking...but THIS was special, very special indeed!!
Everyday a man wakes up and everyday a man tries to pour himself a cup of coffee and take a good hard long look in the mirror. And sometimes what he looks at he doesn't like it, sometimes what he sees, it makes him angry, sometimes what he sees makes him sad... Sometimes what he sees isn't himself, and that disappointment ( gets into you and rips you off little by little, piece by piece)... And sometimes you can just lay down, you can just play the game, you can just take the cards that they dealed you, you can just pretend it's aaaaaall over, WELL NOT ME!!! I have BIG doubts in the part that's between brackets, I may have made a mistake since English is not my native language, but I think that it's pretty accurate.
The lyrics of the song, Jon's performance, and the musicians' playing together are unforgettable. Even after all this time, I get goosebumps when I hear it.❤❤❤
I was lucky enough to be at the (MK) Bowl that day, with a girl at the time. We had been together for around a 6 months at the time, and i remember like it was yesterday that speech and her reaction to it. She was a huge fan, and i arranged the trip as a birthday present for her. It was on that day that i fell for my first love. Unfortunately it never worked out for us, but i will always have fond memories of her, and in particular that day we shared... One of the best days of my life.
RICHIE SAMBORA IS A SUPER GUITARIST, ONE OF THE BEST IN HISTORY, TALENTED, MELODIC, HE HANDLES CHORDS VERY WELL AND A VERY GOOD VOICE. GREAT RICHIE, GREETINGS FROM CHILE.
Some of the best times of my life....Saw Jovi every time they were at MK in the 90's....three days in a row at the old Wembley Stadium.... Greatest band in the world.....most incredible memories....
I was in the audience. My first ever gig, at 13. This was one of the most mind blowing moments of the whole show. Little Angels in support were also just legendary ❤
This is the only version of Dry County that I have ever listened to. The audio file of this version was in my auntie's computer back in 1998. I tried to copy it but the size was bigger than 1.44 MB (the small floppy disc) and the computer finally broke in 2002. I am so glad that I can finally listen to this again. Thank you.
i was lucky enough to be at this event ,, first ever time i had been to see a live band ,, i was blown away , seen groups since but that still was the best ever i have been too ,, roll on 23 june when i see them again
You're welcome, but I don't think the audio is from Milton Keynes either, because I had to hear it in the hAnD90 version and I think in the audience recording that Jon's phrases are also different from the single
Thanks so much Mate for the Upload! Best Bon Jovi Song ever. That's why for me Richie Sambora is the King of Guitar :)) I know there are many good Guitar-Players like Slash, Clapton, Rea, Santana, Mick Jones etc... but none can beat this, only maybe Brian May :)) Queen were Goods too :)) Thx again Greez from Switzerland
Thanks a lot for this comment! I'm from Argentina and I speak english but it was hard to understand everything he says, really thanks a lot! Great speech by the way! :)
Absolutly mind blowing performance! Goosbumps!!! I can hardly describe my feelings and emotions while listening to this song. Awesome, beautiful, wonderful, amazing, epic, giving the chills .... Amen! BJ the best musitians on this planet. Thanks for this upload❤❤❤
i was also there with my now husbend who i met at the age of 17, i was 21 in 93, it was an amazing gig, we went with 2 friends and drank out of date budwiser, ( we didnt realise it was out of date until later) it was also a massive surprise to have Billy Idol supporting them on the day/evening we went as i am also a hugh fan of his and we had no idea he was going to be there, he was also fantastic and i can still see him in his red leather suit..
@WiltshireKid01 I was 17 at the time. I went on to see 2 more Bon Jovi concerts in the next 3 years, another at MK bowl and at the old Wembley stadium just before it was demolished... I believe that Bon Jovi were the last (well known) band to play at the old Wembley... another great and emotional occaision (I'm also a huge football fan!)

They did 2 nights at MK Bowl; Saturday 18th September 1993 and Sunday 19th September 1993. The Saturday night one was broadcast Live on BBC Radio, I was at that concert but they didn’t play this song, the Sunday 19th wasn’t broadcast and they did play this song. Therefore this is from the Sunday 19th concert and I didn’t get to hear them play it live, but I do have the BBC Radio recording on cassette tape (somewhere).
Ok, this is nuts! That glitch at 6:01 - I have this on the UK single double pack CD and since I was a kid I thought it was a scratch on my disc... Turns out it's on the actual recording itself 🤯🤯

@papabear1uk wow im only 18 now. they were the band to close the old wembley and they were going to open the new one but they didn't finish in time. bastards! you were very lucky to witness to Bon Jovi in that era.

I was there the night before and we somehow got into the hospitality area, we had free beer & food; we didn’t get to see the Manics, Little Angels and only last part of Billy……😂🍻
This has to be the absolute best concert ever. I have the music, but don’t know of a video for Milton Keynes. If anyone knows of one, please contact me. Thank you all❣️

One day I'm gonna get tatooed the words from above.

Untuk musik mas Jon boleh jadi panutan lah... cakep, atletis, gak narkoba, gak play boy, gak kenal gua juga... 🤣🤣🤣
I'd literally sell my soul to be there..!
''A lotta truth in what Jon is saying'' !
Manic Street preachers, little angels, Billy idol, bon Jovi, not a bad Sunday night 👍😀

@papabear1uk thankyou for this interesting story. how old were you? i wish i could take a girl to a bon jovi concert. :)
I'm sure that this last user asked someone to put the speech on the comments 'cause he/she doesn't speak english and wanted to know what Jon said.
Would someone just put the speech in their comments ?
