He’s hitting the dude. Not even trying to grab. Unnecessary.
nope, completely normal in wrestling.
@@MaverickPlummerWhat? Smacking the shit out of someone?
it’s just a normal collar tie it’s an aggressive sport
Bro it's a club that is normal
That's just clubbing
Total cowardly hit!
he's clearly not trying to grab the guy lol
U don't have to grab one to do a club usually when people want to initiate contact they are a little aggressive and they can use they're forearm elbow area to push they don't need to grab every single time
i want to say an intentional rough hit that was uncalled for, but it also looks like he slips. that's a hard call for a ref tbh.
Violation, striking, hes looking to be disqualified.
I a wrestler and my dead a wrestling head coach who’s friends with that ref agree it is just a hard club
Ref must be blind lol
Definitely to much rough shit.
Absolutely wrong. Ref call it
you are wrong all that was is a club
just reply with hard upper cut. message received and get on with the wrestling
It’s a forever grudge and I love that for them!
Thus channel captures the best action 🎉🎉
It’s just wrestling but being overagressive and missin the mark
He turned his hips into it, that is an illegal strike. Don't think for a second it wasn't deliberate.
@@bobm1394be quiet that was just a club i turn my hips when i do it
That’s just how wrestling is, it’s a rough sport but you can always bounce back
Nothing wrong with that
Just aggressive, intense wrestling and normal in the sport! The guy was frustrated and behind in the match and with good wrestlers sometimes things get intense especially if they had wrestled before which is likely! He did end up losing the match so that hurt more than that little slap!
So intense equals borderline cheating
Guys one of top at his weight in the state of Illinois! If it was illegal he wouldnt be doing it!! Excessive maybe, illegal not!
I don't know the rules at all, but the first one definitely looked more like a strike, and unnecessary roughness, whereas the second was a solid shot, but was directed at hooking, and controlling the head of the other wrestler. What's the rule, and what do you think, Nima?
Judging by the comments and the reactions to those comments across platforms (especially Instagram), this clip has really split the crowd. "Just Wrestling" has a slight edge over "Unnecessary Roughness", but not by much.
The rules state that officials should strive to make every effort to prevent before penalizing whenever possible. In this situation, I would recommend stopping the match as "Potentially Dangerous" (used for stoppages with no penalty) after the first instance to give a verbal caution. Nine times out of ten, that prevents it from happening again. It's critical to be proactive about these things because more often than not things will escalate, sometimes because the opponent retaliates (and now both sides are at fault rather than just one).
It's worth noting that the primary purpose behind scholastic competition is very different from professional sports-it's about teaching good sportsmanship. A comment from another viewer pointed out that the aggressiveness may have been due to the wrestler getting frustrated from falling behind in the match. If that was the case, and if the behavior continued after a hypothetical match stoppage for a verbal caution, then another potential call worth considering could have been "Unsportsmanlike Conduct".
@@MidwestWrestleFully agree. I would've called the warning the first time around.
@@MidwestWrestle Agree! Had I been the ref I probably would have stopped the match and issued a caution but to be fair the ref was really not in the position to fully see what happened but your camera was! From his angle it may have just looked like a grab attempt! I have seen matches get totally out of hand and both wrestlers disqualified from just a move like this so hopefully his coach did get a full view of the move and had a word with his wrestler about unsportsmanlike conduct because that is the coaches job!
@@robforu5268 Watching the second instance after 2:24 in the match ( ruclips.net/video/Z1CcSy3yXnY/видео.htmlfeature=shared&t=144 ), you can hear multiple people shout "Hey!" including red's coach (off-camera to the right of the scorer's table). In response to red's coach, you can see green's coach rises from his chair to say, "He just shoved us off the mat! What do you want to do!" and then clap his hands.
@@MidwestWrestle Yeah it was a situation that could have gotten out of hand very easily and the ref being in charge of the mat would have been responsible for letting things get out of hand since it was evident that tensions were running high! Haha sometimes it is even the coaches that need to be reined in! Back when I did some reffing I had one instance where I had one coach removed from the gym for which later he apologized for but sometimes it can be the coaches who are the problem lol!😂
He did a snap down low then I drop to get more power in the snap
That’s just wrestling
