Yes one of your interesting videos, was nice seeing the back streets, seems too be a lot going in Blackpool regarding buildings, I must say the weather is much better than yesterday's video, you mentioned the demolition of the toilets, I think they are demolishing all the old toilets, we had a lot here in Birmingham but we don't have any now they have all been demolished and it's such a shame, it's very difficult to find a public toilet here in Birmingham, we have so many frustrated Queens here in Birmingham since all the old toilets/ cottages have gone. All the best, Dave...Birmingham
Used to go to the Central Club in the late 60's with my Grandparents and the Tradesclub, which was a bit closer to their home on Erdington Road; Erdington Road, oh the memories, was back a few years ago for my Uncle's funeral, Lord how Erdington Road had changed from my halcyon child hood days. Used to love hearing and seeing the donkeys come past the house, on their way to the beach. My Grandad used to say to me 'get thy self down to Blackpool tower' and I would always respond 'why Grandad?' and he would say 'just to see how far there and back again it its ' 🤣🤣 He used to send us kids across the road for half a pound of sliced ham and a packet of woodbines. I was fascinated with the ham slicing machine x
Hi Stephen, another great video and interesting places, good job you know your way around, and I hope to explore some of the places when I come up to Blackpool in June.
I love these videos, absolutely brilliant! Great to see more of an insight around the back streets and to see what’s coming to the area. I’m looking to get up next month when the pleasure beach opens more.. keep them coming sir.
Stephen I really enjoy all your videos 👍 your so Lucky to live in Blackpool 😁😁😁 I never knew as much about Blackpool before watching you videos Thankyou for that and love the combination of your videos from you walking cycling and driving 😁 keep it up 👍👍👍
Used to come to Blackpool when I was a little girl with family, we would come to see the lights. I remember the fun fare watching them make the Blackpool rock. Loved the horses carousel, the laughing policeman, the haunted swing, that was a weird one, my nightmare was the ghost train, I remember screaming my head off, but I was only around 6/7 yrs old, I refused every year to go on it, liked the house of mirrors but did get lost and Dad had to come and find me. I have no idea if these still exist as been many years since I was there, I do love your videos, thanks for showing me round.
We used to visit twice a year at least as our Grandparents lived in Blackpool. I'm still scared of that ghost train in my 50's. I took my daughter on it about 19 years ago when she was 4, I was more terrified than her xx think I put her coat over my head 🤣
Hi Stephen, another great video. Re the old Town Hall, it's still used for Council meetings involving Cllrs (less so since Covid, but that will change as we come out of Covid), it's also used by the Coroner for Inquests. Some point in the summer we will have to organise for you to come in for a tour of the building it's a stunning place inside :)
Always enjoy your bike ride along videos! Looking forward to seeing updates from the central development in Blackpool too. Will be good for new and old visitors the multi storey car park.
There is always something to see in Blackpool I think it will be a while until the tram station is completed tho thanks again Stephen and I’m looking forward to your next one 👍
Another great video, thanks Stephen. The Galleon Bar has been there for many years now but do you remember the Grosvenor Hotel which I recall was around that area? It's where I first started frequenting pubs back in the early 80s. Fond memories of 'Daydream Believer' being a firm favourite on the jukebox whilst sinking a couple of pints before chips and gravy at the chippy next to the No. 3 on the way home. Happy Days.
Another great video but I've a question for you Steve, when are they going to finish the tram extension from the sea front up to Blackpool north rail station as they appear to be taking forever to do it
Im not sure about the colour scheme on the new houses, very Balamory. Love Stephens videos, I used to watch another lads videos too but he seems to have disappeared.
I'm genuinely impressed by your fitness levels walking and cycling round Blackpool - I honestly thought that you had an electric bike. What kind of pedal bike do you have?
If you can fit food reviews into your channel schedule I think it will be good as you said left the big established pubs and clubs no but the others you don't need to bit yes approach the tower and get your self up there Mr Stephen
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool perhaps next autumn and winter I could lend you my electric bike for your videos as I need it in spring and summer then you could zoom around on it even faster as long as you feature it in one of your videos!
If it's like the other ones I reckon if you still book in advance it will only be about 40 or 50 a pound a night you have to realise there is only 1 proper 4 star and 5 star hotel in Blackpool proper

I'm visiting Blackpool soon, looking forward to it. Although the town might not be as glamorous as it used to be, it still retains it's charm.

I wondered what we was going to see when you said “I’m just going round the back of Funny Girls”

It was a bright orange mountain bike which I had borrowed for this.
