    I love this camping table! My younger children love washing dishes after eating. Holds my small drink cooler on the wire shelf. I made tie down ropes to stake the legs. I store them with my other ropes and stakes to use on my camping trips.

    Good idea with the strap for the griddle. I have the 17" and will be doing the same. Thanks.
    I have also have the same camping table. I'm going to anchor down the legs with stakes to see if it helps from rocking.

    I recently purchased a Blackstone griddle with a hood. I liked your video on the table so much I purchased one and set it up as you did. Mine did not come with a paper towel bungee cord…. When I placed my Blackstone on the table, my hood was in the way of the light pole. I’ve seen others cook from the other side of the table, turning the Blackstone around. I like you video and am learning as I go. Thanks, Skillet

    Out here at Meaher State Park right now watching your video on this cook table and griddle. Looks like a good investment. Appreciate the video.

      We got the Blackstone and had been setting it on picnic tables. Couldn’t really utilize the table space as you had to cook from the end of table and reach over to set or get things. I don’t think there is anything missing that I could add that would make it more enjoyable. We recently got a dome to put over biscuits and burgers to keep the heat on them. That lower metal grid is perfect for setting hot items on and out of the way. Never knew about Meaher, now you’ve got us looking! Thanks for the heads-up!

      The more I think about it, the more I think about carrying some door shims. I think it could help with the table contact gaps, and also maybe with quicker adjustments under the griddle.

      That is a GREAT idea. I actually use that section to set the griddle dome on when not and after using:

    What is your take on why the table is unsteady? Legs too close together? Too much weight with Blackstone? Lower table too long, sticking out the side?

    • @TakeMetotheWildWoods
      @TakeMetotheWildWoods  3 года назад

      Good question! I think the table is more narrow than a regular table. There are more folding joint points than a standard table. Both of these could contribute. Again, the only time it requires holding is when scrubbing and scraping griddle for a good cleaning.
      We also carry with us a simple 4 foot table. I could cook on that. But I enjoy the real estate on this table setup. I like the shelves that can be dedicated for plates on one, seasonings on another, cutting board. On the simple four foot table, I ended up shoving things around to get them out of the way or in the way. Plus, I love gadgets. This has been the most well built folding setup I have used. I don’t consider it wobbly from build quality, but rather from build design. And I am fine with that.

    How much weight can is withstand?

    • @TakeMetotheWildWoods
      @TakeMetotheWildWoods  Год назад

      I have not pushed the table to its breaking point. That being said, with the griddle, the weight bearing pressure points are at the hinges. I have not tested to see how well that section would handle pressure at the joining support (1:45). In other words, if you were to move the prep area to that section, I do not know how much weight it could handle. But I think I would be comfortable doing so.

  • @nelsonsoaresusa

    Get a 1" flexible coupling, attach under the sink rubber fitting, also get a 1" piece of pvc or flexible tubing, cut to size.
    The tubing that comes with the table is garbage.

    Buy a plastic folding table Cheaper and easier to put up and stow away

    • @TakeMetotheWildWoods
      @TakeMetotheWildWoods  2 года назад

      We had the same thought. We didn’t like the thought of heated cook top on a plastic table. I also like all the real estate and it being a little more of a gadget. At the same time, I can relate to the simplicity. I’ve had multi tool knives, but have have carried a simple knife for over 10 years.
      This table however is easier to store than our 4’ plastic table, and looks better.

    Table is too complicated, Drifta style table is more simple

    • @TakeMetotheWildWoods
      @TakeMetotheWildWoods  3 года назад

      That is a perfectly viable reasoning. It definitely is more complicated than that style. At the same time, it does offer more real estate to work with.

    • @falkenvir
      @falkenvir 3 года назад

      @@TakeMetotheWildWoods I agree... as long as the User don't mind the hassle. And perfectly reasonable if you always want to stay in one location more than 2days.
