they leaked about 3 songs i think + the sprites, so it was done like a month from then, i know that 60% of the game is completed this far but i really dont know why they didnt release it when it was finished
@@NukaKawai cause it clearly wasn't finished, that footage looks really rough (and the charting is ass). Also it took over a year to establish funkin inc as a company and get payroll working due to problems between Canadian and American laws which strained the game. Also the code was almost completely re-done which is a crazy amount of work. Game development also isn't linear so they mightn't have 60% of the game actually polished and release worthy bc it all might be drafted or unfinished still. 3 years is still way too long BUT they werent done that long ago, the update still came out with game breaking crashes and they clearly wanted to release it sooner
if you've seen any combo animations from mods you probably have. i remember seeing this exact same one outside the leak in some pretty big/recognized so i'm 100% sure that an engine or specific mod traced the animation

4:11 - A bit of correction, the CG art was actually from the fanmade build that included Score song. 4:17 - Also the game over that was leaked didn’t have the retry sound and it was spread around ONLY through the Score build, Redial later confirmed that the ending sound that we have now was done by him, so it’s unknown how this song ends really. As of Bro, people that actually played the leaked build and searched through the files said that it actually was named as Inst, which obviously implies that this song is supposed to be playable. But if you remember how Shingi tried to tease Week 8 character through blog posts and consider the name of the song, then it’s obvious that Week 8 is supposed to be GF’s brother. So there’s that!!

I remember watching that Week 6 leak. I would go to their channel everyday to see if they posted a longer version and sometimes they did! As for what was in the video, the first 20-30 seconds of Senpai gameplay (I think missing like a few seconds of the beginning), as well as the song names for Week 6 from the freeplay menu. It might have had something else in it, but that's all I remember.
Also I was one of lucky guys that downloaded the tankman leak, since I was on the stream and immediately grabbed the clip. I never shared the clip and eventually a few months later, DA got his hands on it. Idk if this counts, but another fake leak that happened before week 7 was a song preview for tankman's 2 & 3 song poster by MtH, but in reality were sections of a song named "Mos Thoser" with tankman vocals.
On the case of MtH, they supposedly leaked Week 8's character on Twitter, but deleted it instantly when they found out it was a real leak. I took a screenshot, but still hard to tell what it is as the it only shows the level name "Out and About" and a small part of the character's hair. But it might be fake based on the nature of MtH.

They still are since they never said that they changed from Haxe at all. From the dev posts and twitter posts etc. they never said that they changed the engine that the game runs on.
the maingame devs are a straight disgrace 💀nonexistent ability to keep deadlines, broken promises, terrible, slow performance, in wayy over their head and acting like jackasses about it (uhhuh oops! another leak haha lmao!) 2 mil wasted so far. Even if the game drops tmrw, the dev progress documentation and communication cannot be taken back.

Since for one making the code to a game is not simple since you always have to check the code to make sure it works properly and doesn’t crash the game or have some game breaking bug that plagues the entire way the game works and feels.
