I am a Buddhist and this clearly aligns with the view of non-self. Perfect explanation. This is why Hinduism and Buddhism are the same, there is no difference between the two
Not true. Buddhists say no purusha, no prakriti and the world is an illusion or does not exist. This is their definition of so called "Nirvana". Buddhists murdered sankhya vedic metaphysics. Vedas say the world is an illusion only if there is no conscious, immanent, transcendent and omnipresent athma. What sadhguru is saying is athman = brahman and there is no individual identity based on immanent and conscious athma. In other words ,there is no duality between athman and brahman. But it does not mean there is no conscious athma because without it nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles can happen. This is Sankhya Vedic metaphysics (around which both yoga/tantra and hindu temple traditions were built) which can be validated by logic, double slit quantum experiment and embodied experience (focus + meditation) Now, touch your ego self and the objects around you. Do they exist? Then immanent and conscious athma also exists.
@@indianmilitary Clearly you have no understanding of Buddhism. When Buddha says “All is illusion,” he isn't saying that nothing is real. He's saying that your mind's projections onto reality are illusions. Everything we see is a projection of our consciousness which is exactly what Hinduism says, the athma. You raised the point, that "I perceive, so I exist," but we first have to figure out whether an "I" even exists in the first place. Nothing can be perceived in its current state is not due to the existence of an athma or not, but its because of the ignorance that has polluted our minds.
@@indianmilitary That's exactly what Hinduism says, this material world Maya is full of illusions. Your body is temporary living in this material world. Only soul is eternal
“And because the soul has no birth, he therefore has no past, present or future. He is eternal, ever-existing and primeval - that is, there is no trace in history of his coming into being. Under the impression of the body, we seek the history of birth, etc., of the soul.”
So it is like an ocean - you take a small piece of it and freeze it. You get a shape which is solid and bound, like a human being is. Then you melt it down, take away it's physical shape, and it becomes a part of the ocean again...

I like to believe that we choose how we incarnate into this life based on what we have to learn and experience, life is a gift with many challenges and paradoxes if you will. He has to be correct. Period. Because, if one is real Satguru, he has to have absolute knowledge about the physics and the metaphysics. A real Satguru not only has knowledge but control / mastery over the basic elements which forms this universe. As Lord Krishna has said, Kshetradnya has complete knowledge of the Kshetra. He has to have authoritative say on this subject, or else he is namesake Sadhguru.
NO. If we did not exist and life is meaningless, then Sadhguru would not teach. Who is there to teach? If you teach it means you are teaching someone, otherwise you don't bother. But Sadhguru bothers. It is time for human beings to use their intelligence, rather than repeating garbatge from the monkeys of 2000 years ago.
Nobody should meditate unless that person has realized the purpose of creation awakening various energy channels in the body. To awaken various energy channels in the body once has to perform various yajna. Those who just do meditation on Omkara will merge into the cosmos losing individual existence. However if one merges into infinite ocean losing its individual existence, then this creation has no purpose. Bharatio spiritual tradition has gone through this crisis in the past, and again he is bringing it back. Those who follow the path of Karma Yoga laid by Bhagavan Krishna in Bhagavad Gita will have spiritual liberation and at the same time blissful eternal life. If meditation is good enough for liberation the Bhagavad Gita would have ended in chapter six. This guru has skipped lots of stuff in Sanatana Dharma. He has mastered certain yogic asanas, meditation exercises that work and keeping his disciple happy that way. There is a big learning curve for Sadguru before he becomes truly an enlightened person and is qualified to guide humanity. I feel sad that he is passing down his ignorance to humanity and causing such great damage to the mankind There is nothing worse other than telling a being that he or she would not exist anymore after attaining liberation, that is not liberation, that is self -destruction,
After searching for truth and following different paths, I realised the each of us has to follow our own spiritual journey, walk down that road alone. We will at times come to a standstill.. writers say when they can't come up with a story line..they have writers block. This can also happen on a spiritual journey. I found it helpful to read some book, or watch a video, on some supposed spiritual insight. I do not just accept what it said or written, it is more to give me some insight or though to follow..just to kick start my thinking. Writers are told just to start writing..put pen to paper..just start writing to get past the block. What you read or watch is not important..if it gets one thinking again. Meditation also helps me..but to do that..I need a question to ask myself. The question is also not important to me..as long as it has some spiritual context.
Amazing. It's not a question-answer session in which anybody is trying to prove anything. These are little gems thrown on the sideway - just hints. To our utter surprise, everything they had spoken of was 99% true.
Fundamentally, there is a soul. And when we die. The soul is pure spiritual energy in a metaphysical aspect that cannot be created or destroyed but changes form. As a spirit that soul can choose its own path in choosing a newborn body which is regarded as reincarnation all based upon the karma of the prior existence or experiences.
Sadhguru speaks as if the Hindu scriptures are revealed truth. And Christians have their Bible which they revere. It's all hogwash! We just don't know the origin of life, or the origin of the universe. There is no afterlife. Our children are the only afterlife there is. Nature already provides for the continued existence of all species through the process of cell division and reproduction. Every child born anywhere on the earth is our afterlife. We don't yet know the ultimate nature of matter, so how can we speak of the physical body, or the mind body, or the energy body, or the spirit body? Sadhguru starts off very well with his explanation of the many Koshas or sheaths that constitutes the body and the karmic structure that holds it together. And when the last component of the karmic structure is accounted for, the soul or the encapsulated energy becomes one with the all-pervasive energy. The bubble bursts and the form becomes one with the formless. He was clearl up to this point but went on a tangent soon after. I was left confused, not about the issue but about his understanding of the issue.
Krishna says in the gita: " material nature consist of three modes --- goodness, passion, and ignorance. When the living entity comes in contact with nature, O mighty armed Arjuna he becomes conditioned by these modes." Our forgetfulness of our true identity as being spiritual beings is due to the quality of ignorance; as Krishna says " from the mode of ignorance develop foolishness, madness and illusion." The statement, " I am this body " translates too " I am aware of this body" since it is by consciousness that we can know identity consciousness is our true identity. To be conscious is to be " SELF " conscious and it is this SELF consciousness that makes you an entity or soul. The souls or self's ignorance is exhibited when it falsely identify's with the body as it's self since the soul is affected by the ignorance of bodily identification it cannot be " of " the body which is composed of elemental energy. The soul, self ( Atman ) or living entity or whatever you want call it has to be something of a different nature than matter since ignorance is a condition that affects it but doesn't create it. So to say that there is no such thing as a soul is paramount to saying I as a self doesn't exist " I " as an entity doesn't exist but since it is only by self consciousness that you are able to make those statements you are using self to deny self which just leads to an absolute contradiction.
@@shreeshavitthala All of this no self or soul stuff just leads to a conundrum, since truth can be defined as " that which is realized to be true " and since it takes a self to have a realization saying " the self is an illusion " or that " the self doesn't exist " is like to say " I realize that the self is an illusion " or that " I realize the self doesn't exist " but as soon as you say " I realize " you are confirming the absolute need for a self to have those realizations therefore the statements " the self is an illusion " and " the self doesn't exist " can never be " truth " statements since to realize " no self " requires that there be a self to have that realization. From a vedic perspective the self is sat-chit-ananda ( eternity that knows and loves itself ) being an eternal " in the now reality " that knows no change or deterioration is the " sat " ( eternity ) impersonal nature of the self. Knowing that you know this impersonal nature of self is the personal nature of self exhibited as the " knower " ( chit ) and love ( ananda ) is it's dynamic aspect. Since you can't love yourself if you are not conscious of yourself " chit " and " ananda " are concomitant and are what make the self a doer of activity. Since we can only know the nature of self through self material nature ( gross elements ) can in no way reveal to us the actual nature of consciousness due to the fact that consciousness exist as it's own realm that never mixes with matter.
~ Yes there are many NDE's with stories of an afterlife. There in a sense. We are returning to where we came from. Once a humane has had this experience, many questions would arise. you will be pleasantly surprised

In other videos he says that he lived many lives, doing the same work around the same region. My question is: If the bubble pops and everything non-physical blends (like air) into everything else, how come he stays the same once he found a new body? Or does this kind of memory mix with others who die at the same time?
The soul takes on many lives until it has no rebirth in this 3rd dimension. From the 3rd dimension to the 5th dimension, then it proceeds to the 7th dimension. No rebirth.
Bubble popping does not happen when u die. When u dies, u may still hav karmic structure. It happens when u attain mahasamadhi. Probably he hasn't attained mahasamadhi yet.
Krishna says in the gita: " work pertaining to the development of material bodies is called karma " and what is it that we work through to develop these material bodies? Krishna says, " material nature consist of three modes goodness, passion, and ignorance. When the eternal living entity comes in contact with nature, O mighty armed Arjuna, he becomes conditioned by these modes." He further explains that our " fate " is determined by the mode that we have made the most prominent in our lifetime when he says " those situated in the mode of goodness gradually go upward to the higher planets; those in the mode of passion live on the earthly planets; and those in the abominable mode of ignorance go down to the hellish worlds." so in one sense by free will we create our fate by whatever mode we have made most prominent in our lifetime but it is material nature in the form of it's subtle modes that is the mechanism that places us in the realm that we deserve to go due to our work by working through the medium of the modes of nature. So karma and reincarnation is all linked to these modes because in each mode there is a fate attached to it therefore karma is the fate derived from these modes.

Sadhguru you explained it very well. But one question. You said after death one finds another body sooner or later. That's also rebirth. Then you say there is nothing called as rebirth This is a bit confusing.
he said there's no rebirth of the non physical that is always here n will always remain here there's rebirth of the physical body, mental body, n energy body. So there's a rebirth of physical. But there's no rebirth of non physical.
There is no re-birth once you are liberated. Till you are Liberated, the non-physical, gets into one physical after another. This is death and rebirth. Changing from one physical to another.
@@hiroshilanguageinstitute8668 karma leads to rebirth. Once you're free from every bond, relation, every memory of your previous lives. That's liberation. Then you dissolve into the non physical (nothing) and become one with it. But what truly matters is that we experience that on our own. Just reading about it, listening to it won't lead us anywhere and we will keep on running in circles forever i.e the cycles of birth n death.
Sadhguru is self-contradictory here. In one instance he says the soul (essential essence) of a person will reborn and at the end he says it's not true. Who's the confused one?
Right said. In fact there is lots of wrong saying in his this speech about soul, although some truths are in this speech too. Soul is not a fictitious thing. Neither it ends like bursting a bubble, nor it dissipates when someone be in the Maha Samadhi state. A soul is like a Super Software. And a software does not need to have a shape. It can work remaining behind the scene. The purpose of karma is to make us mature through experiences in this virtual reality Maya world. Karma keeps track of what next experiences we need to experience to level up. Soul keeps the record of experiences by preserving all memories. When a person is in Samadhi or Maha Samadhi state, his soul does not dissipates. His soul remains. Just his karma dissipates. And his soul becomes merged with Greater Soul. But soul does not dissipates. And Karma also does not end until one completes his all lessons through experiences. So there is no Mokhsha/Mukti until one completes all lessons and finally liberates from karma.
There is no such thing as soul, he is just trying to make us understand. Soul is an english word that doesn't have the same Hindi/Sanskrit word. It is all Atman ( which can be closer to the English word God not soul). Please don't understand these things through english words you will be confused. You need to understand the concept of Atman and Brahman thoroughly. Please watch videos of Jai Lakhani on reincarnation
the whole point is do not belive this stuff, look for experience. That is what matter, other than that theory is just valueless. That's his point. Look at the comment section here, just throwing stuff from texts, his sole purpose is that people should experience not read about life.
He says not to believe cuz people might use excessive imagination and assume things he didn't mean. Instead he wants us to just listen to it, without believing or disbelieving cuz one day if we are perceptive and intelligent enough to see and understand these kind of things, we'll be able to relate.
I must agree. He talks about reincarnation and in this video he says "dont believe this nonsense"? I mean, clearly he can not deny reincarnation. If he did, there was something wrong with him
You missed the point that ..life n death continues, but you don't remain the same as some soul There is no such thing as soul or identity , just the karma or deeds in form of consciousness ... Nothing exists actually
You are only what you are!! Their is no soul!! Once you discover that you are only consciousness and nothing else !! Everything becomes suddenly one and you find everything in that consciousness and emerging from it!!
It is God‘s experiment of giving us totally free will to choose what we want. Because this experiment implies forgetfulness of our own true Self and various energies that try to manipulate u, it is a test for the soul of the Highest Order. Naturally, under these circumstances we unconsciously created Karma through our actions. Becoming conscious is and longing for the Divine is the way home. The only way home.
FYI... As a child I kept re-experiencing various past death experiences from past lives when I fell asleep. While experiencing those experiences I was not aware of this current life. Many children are aware of past lives but as children continue to age they start losing the memories from/of past lives.
An excellent , clear explanation on body structure...,why this kind of knowledge has not been implemented in our High school curriculum?!.., now even western countries are accepted this theory of body structure...!!!
It’s still sometimes hard for me to see why I would want to loose every experience I have, but I guess merging with the universe is also still an experience...
When there is no self who merges?you understand and then not understand ~ no one is understanding ..no one is not understanding...Its only an illusion.. Ah..Illusion ...?..what illusion ..whose illusion ..illusion's illusion...

I find this subject quite disturbing. What's the point of mukti or liberation if we just dissolve into the greater consciousness and no longer exist. What's the purpose of existing in the first place then, to go through all this? Why the shenanigans? If one becomes enlightened in one lifetime and comes back in a subsequent lifetime (thus some Karma is involved to hold to the body), enlightenment does not reach the state of full dissolution into the greater consciousnesses. Once full dissolution is reached, all the experience of that being is evaporated, gone, no more karma. Difficult to reconcile with all the stories of life between lives (life between incarnations) that Dr. Michael Newton brought out in deep hypnosis. Also all those mediums, talking to beings on the other side, if not a soul then something else, by the likes of the Long Island Medium. Both ascribe to rebirth, Newton and Long Island Medium, but it certainly does not sound similar to Sadhguru's explanation. Are they in complete illusion or are these people also revealing something that fits in with what Sadhguru is saying and we are not seeing the full picture? To me it sounds like it's an either or and both cannot exist together. Just finding another body in hours after death seems like such a haphazard way. Newton talks about life selection before coming back as being a careful selection with other players in our soul groups who decide to work together in a lifetime to continue to grow as souls. To meet up in a lifetime and work together. Sadhguru's version sounds unpleasant and shitty. Maybe that's the way it is. And as I said I find it quite disturbing.
Life...it's all really meaningless. No real purpose. People make up their own meaning(s) in life, but in real, it's all truly meaningless. Everything in its truest essence has no intrinsic value.
Existance = unsastifactory condition and impermanent which bring great lamentation, sufferings...with result clinging and aversions which result future actions and future actions will create more reactions...which create endless new birth and death.
sadguru is giving the grand picture. u are talking about scenes one by one. from my knowing what newton and others have verified are all karmic states.... there are different levels of karmic states ... so once u leave the body u reach another karmic dimension and then u plan do this and that and again enter a body .... .... I guess there are many karmic dimensions and according to your karma u reach there. just like this dimension is not real that is also not real..........
It's disturbing. They say, you have this question, why all this mess, until you cross the barriers of karma. Once you cross it you have the answer n no question. I sound like talking physics.
People who are close to each other. It is pre-programmed by karma. So, I am sure you came across both like minded and incompatible people in your life. Appearances change in every movie (life). We just have to look it as interaction of different characters or movie roles pre-programmed by karma or script which change with every new movie or life. Guna or character of a person is pre-programmed by karma along with situations, circumstances and opportunities.
Yeah, I agreed with it. When the karma is intense the ghost still hang on. Physic people will feel those connection because ghost can sense it. Ghost can always find you because you have a gps tag unless you block it.
During reincarnation only the subtle body transmigrates. What sadhguru is saying is there is no individual identity based on conscious, immanent and omnipresent soul or divine which is your real self.
I have died and find out and come back to write a comment. There is a soul. You belong to it not forever but wile you are you it is yours. When you die You can choose to stay (not advised), reincarnate (going to the left and entering the gold light), move on (going to the right and entering the white light), disperse if you are an atheist, be dissolved in the void (usually if you die before being born), largely based on your beliefs. All these things are transient. Now I will watch this!
Impeccable explanation to the most ununderstandable and complicated subject called, Birth, Rebirth, Death, Samadhi, Panchakosa, Physical Body, Subtle Body, Causal Body which gives rise to Janma, Karma and Janma which are nothing but Avidya or ignorance leading to Desire which propells one into action to build Karmik structure facilitating next Birth whether wants it or not. Hats off to you Sadguru🙏🙏🙏
I like the attitude of Buddha about metaphysical questions : He said we should not discuss about things that we do not really know….let concentrate on how to liberate ourselves from human pain, miseries of life. Soul or no soul, God or no God….nobody know for sure, leave those questions there, not important for our life.
Everything you said sounds right to me , scince I was a child I felt this , the body is a shell , the spirit , life energy , whatever you want to call it , makes us who we are , I also thought evil Spirts can be destroyed never to, at least live again on this planet , we have a long way to go , thank you , tod , ...
Sadhguru speaks: "there is no such thing as your soul …" "Karma is the cement which holds you to the physical body." And who is this "you" but the soul? "Karma is the bondage at the same time, it’s only because of karmic stuff you can hold on to the body and be here." And who is this "you" but the soul? "if you dismantle the karmic structure hundred percent, now you merge with the existence." And who is this "you" but the soul? Sri Aurobindo speaks: "It is necessary to understand clearly the difference between the evolving soul (psychic being) and the pure Atman, self or spirit. The pure self is unborn, does not pass through death or birth, is independent of birth or body, mind or life or this manifested Nature. It is not bound by these things, not limited, not affected, even though it assumes and supports them. The soul, on the contrary, is something that comes down into birth and passes through death - although it does not itself die, for it is immortal - from one state to another, from the earth plane to other planes and back again to the earth-existence. It goes on with this progression from life to life through an evolution which leads it up to the human state and evolves through it all a being of itself which we call the psychic being that supports the evolution and develops a physical, a vital, a mental human consciousness as its instruments of world-experience and of a disguised, imperfect, but growing self-expression. All this it does from behind a veil showing something of its divine self only in so far as the imperfection of the instrumental being will allow it. But a time comes when it is able to prepare to come out from behind the veil, to take command and turn all the instrumental nature towards a divine fulfilment. This is the beginning of the true spiritual life. The soul is able now to make itself ready for a higher evolution of manifested consciousness than the mental human - it can pass from the mental to the spiritual and through degrees of the spiritual to the supramental state. Till then there is no reason why it should cease from birth, it cannot in fact do so. If having reached the spiritual state, it wills to pass out of the terrestrial manifestation, it may indeed do so - but there is also possible a higher manifestation, in the Knowledge and not in the Ignorance." From: Complete Works of Sri Aurobindo,Volume 28, Letters on Yoga Volume I, page 536
Listen...make it easy...there is only consciousness...it holds different minds u can say...one part of the mind is our identity.....so the soul u can say is consciousness+identity...the identity evolves with the energy body...so here when Sadhguru is saying about soul, he is means consciousness, and there is nothing like your awareness and my awareness....but i said what your mind is making up....soul is consciousness+identity+energy body(chakra system)...hope it makes sense :)
There is a soul but in yoga it is called an energetic body - same thing different words - so for this guy to say soul does not exist is him saying "i use different words to talk about the same thing" Not very wise.
This is all belief ! - When he describes the 5 dimensions of the body, he fell into his own trap: It´s a belief system. Then, I remember the words of J. Khrisnamurti: "Belief has no place, where truth is concerned".
There has been a 50 year research done on life after death and similar scenarios Please go and check it out and you would see how Naive your comment is
You ever notice with a lot of these guys that know it all, they all have different variations of what's true, it's the same with religion. My conclusion is that we all have our own truths we all are Gods living in our own worlds
What is it like "to merge with the existence" ? When joining the sea, and becoming the sea, does the drop of water stay aware of itself, or the whole thing is another way to describe the inevitable ?
Excellent explanation considering the limitations of English, which compared to Sanskrit, is a very new language. Remember, when these concepts (as well as math and architecture) were being taught at grand stone temples in the advanced societies of antiquity that Westerners were still living in the Stone Age, pre Ice Age Era with little, if any, written language. It was only after Rome conquered Western Europe, and when the Mongols opened the Silk Road, that high-religion, math and esoteric teachings were introduced to them. These teachings are far too advanced for many Westerners to understand because to them the thought of not having 'an identity' equals death. The 'air' in the bubble held together by Karma is consciousness itself. Like the petals of a lotus flower these bubbles, or "selves", are merely partitions within the whole of consciousness. Consciousness (Karma, soul, body, mind, elements, etc) is a multi-dimensional, self-organizing, matter organizing and anti-matter destroying, self-perpetuating and regenerating entity with a hive mind which is a very intimidating concept for spiritual newbies. Even after the Karma is broken there is always perception, self-awareness and the sensation of "existing, being alive" which never goes away. However, this new perception is no longer experienced within the context of the physicality we all know and have come to expect from being inside of a body with an ego. So for an English person the short answer is: "Yes", there is life after death, but not in the way they may expect it to be.

I think he refers to multiple beliefs, at 5:10 he says how the same concept in Hindu, yogic, and Buddhist traditions are called different things. All of which teach much of the same things, as all religions do.
To all those who find this overwhelming and feel inferior just one advise - give as much alms as possible to needy - within your capacity - it can be time, money, advise, tuition, food etc etc - AND meditate on it and continue the good deeds - there is no better feeling and liberation than that - rest is up to nature - not everybody can be doctors, engineers, mathematicians, magicians, singers etc - to each his own and quit worrying about liberation - that's the best liberation one can be in

They are true based on their experience. If i ask you 'is this pen red?' You may answer yes it is red, but how could i ever know how you perceive that particular shade of red? How can i be sure? I will never be sure, but somehow we manage to communicate based on your private experiences and trust each other. Christian people will talk you about heaven hell etc like they are facts. An atheist will tell you there is no god, like it is a fact. Everybody seems sure about some thing because they perceive them that way. And when you find out that even our perceptiom can be distorted, modified by prejudices etc then we shouldnt even trust our will to live and do a mass suicide? Certainly no, we have hope, faith and trust in life, even if everything looks so chaotic and meaningless. Nobody has facts, we must follow what suits us and ispires us to grow. What makes us feel good and enjoy this thing called life is 'divine', everything else is just words, ideas, abstract reality etc Btw i am also shocked by the confidence that sadghuru has talking about some topics, but at least he is not defining laws based on his perception. He is just answering questions that people what to be answered by him because he is wise on many topics. He also said, you don't have to believe me nor any other thing, you can experience it on your own.
They are experience not facts. This experience is beyond senses and mind. I also realised it. But I can't transfer my realisation to someone else. To experience u have to do meditation . Meditation is only way to experience ur bliss body. Sages and saint from ancient time tried to spread this, so that u urself start ur journey to experience it. But u have to do effort

What I like most in every religion on the Planet is how creative they can be to explain life, death, souls, God.... I am sure no one that has ever lived, know what happens when we die. Just wishfull thinking trying to give some confort related to death, this misterious event we all are going to face at some point
One who are the most attached ones or truly affectionate beings, can they again meet in next cycle of birth too if some of their wishes remain unfulfilled? Should it be an urge from both beings or even one soul could prove powerful to search and meet another affectionate one again and again, till happily satisfied??
Who is "myself"? Your ego self (thoughts/body) or the real divine self or the soul which is conscious, self luminous, immanent, transcendent and omnipresent, without which nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles can happen. eg Birth/death (including reincarnation cycle), energy/matter, man/woman, wake/sleep etc.
@@guruk Language is inherently paradoxical. Existence can never be perfectly described. His words are wonderful at _Pointing_ to the Truth. Although the Truth is that which must be experienced to be known. In time, with experience, you will see his explanation is masterful. Also, take care to parse his words carefully. He says there is no such thing as YOUR soul. Soul is not something that belongs to any one person, my soul is your soul, everything is soul fundamentally. But you see, now I have created confusion in you, because you don't even know what I mean by soul. The word soul has been used so many times to describe so many different things. In this context he is refuting the definition of soul that is used to say we all have some kind of individual, seperate, inherent essence/form that always will exist unchanged. This existence is a river, and to say we own a soul is as nonsensical as saying we can hold the river in a cup. River merely temporarily takes the shape of cup, never the same cup of water for even a moment, not separate from its vessel nor the air, never satisfied being any one thing. Impermanent, empty, unsatisfactory. Dive deep, friend.
@@kshetragnachaitanya7869 The problem with us is - 'we look, hear and feel the aesthetics of the explanation and the use of complicated and confusing words that leave you more entangled than helping in clarifying your question' and "the more lengthier the essay or the explanation is the better' mentality and trying to define the unkown just by theoritically envisioning it in a way. Quite simply say something you dont know as 'i dont know' and lets focus on worldly things first - God is the food that i eat when i am hungry... God is in the air i breathe when i am suffocated and panting for breath... God is in the unconditional service that i offer that i do to the others (animals or birds or any living being) when they need it. God is in nature... God is the NATURE. Shiva (athma) and Shakhti (intelligent energy in combination with the conscious and omnipresent shiva) always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles to happen eg BIRTH/DEATH (including reincarnation cycle), wave/particle, energy/matter, man/woman, creation/destruction, manifestation/concealment, day/night, freezing/melting, wake/sleep etc. This is Sankhya Vedic metaphysics. Sadhguru does not contradict it.

When he says don't believe all this nonsense I think he just wants to tell to all the people who seek truth and knowledge elsewhere than themselves just don't. That's why in my opinion next thing he says is just close your eyes and feel. Knowledge always exist in now and here.
The problem with all the videos on Sadhguru channel is, they are edited to fit a 10 mins frame from more than an hour lecture. Sometimes we missed the important part.
@Orane Appleby I agree but clues are just clues, open to interpretation. He has been brought up in the Hindu tradition and as such relies on the Advaita Vedanta and Hindu scriptures just as a priest relies on the bible, neither are proof of anything just interesting concepts. He is charismatic, an interesting man on a mission who does a lot of good and makes a good living at the same time, nothing wrong in that but he isn't the messiah, just another spiritual leader with an opinion of how things work.
No attachments to the physical world after death. Its what he is saying. Karma means cause and effect. You break the cause and the effect is that you will be liberated.
@@iamessence6268 but what has 'Karma', the physical body is dead, all experience is gone. 'The soul' whatever, being unsullied can't know sin and can therefore not have karma. Karma assumes that the same 'life substance' goes from one body to another, not a viable concept but if it were this 'soul' being perfect can't have karma. It's a bit like the childish christian concept of judgement.

Do meditation. By no other means u would understand what he saying. Because it unknown territory. Senses and mind can't perceive it. What this person is saying is 100 percent true. I say it because I experience it. But I can't transfer my experience to someone else. To know u have to do it urself. Even if u get a glimpse experience of ur bliss body, u will not have any attachment left for material things. No thing is as beautiful as compared to that experience but I can't express it in words, or figure etc because it is realisation, a state. I got the experience of bliss body( it is not body, it just experience) only for few minute two year ago. My life change thereafter. I now understand everything so clearlly. Nothing seem complex now. I can only say kingdom of God( bliss body) is within u. It's path is actually to simple that it is not even to understood. But we all human are too complex. We are full of opinions judgements. ( thoughts, instinct, fear, anger) when u r completely still ( no thought, no lower feeling like fear) etc sometime such experience comes.
Soul is awarness of the illusion we created called physical life (being human), which is made up of duality. When you overcome it, then the soul is nomore. You can overcome it by detaching your energy from the senses and constantly focusing it on the inner mind
He is saying that there is no soul ,then what Krishna is saying in 2nd chapter of Bhagwad Gita, is that wrong?? But Krishna can not be wrong,so soul exists and rebirth is also there . When he says that the person who dies peacefully, finds aother body within few hours that is rebirth only.
You're life is you're making that means your life is you're karma. Yes there is no such thing as soul read it carefully in holy book krishna talked about soul in reference to karma . If there is karma than only the being can exist. In this world.
As I understand him, your soul is a temporary state bound by karma. So ultimately when you find liberation your soul no longer exists. When you know this, can you really say that it has ever existed?
I agree.. That's rebirth.. What he said is confusing. He is saying 2 different things. However,it make sense to me we are a piece of consciousness and, once liberated, we blend with the whole (Krishna). What's the matter if we call that temporary trapped consciousness with the name of SOUL?
When the karma is finished then soul goes to the spiritual world. In chapter 15.6 ,Krishna talks about His abode. In 9.25,He clearly mentions that who worships Him ,come to Him. It is the soul which goes to the spiritual world.
So what then is speaking to me through my inner voice if it is not my atman/soul/higher self/inner being? Who/what answers my questions with incredible wisdom and precision through dreams, meditation, insight? If it is not my soul speaking then who/what is it? Surely it can’t be karma as the answers are not ‘I’ orientated but focussed on the wider universal whole/wholeness. If these answers are straight from Oneness/Source/God then why/how would they come through me unsolicited. Who/what is asking for them. Surely it can’t be my ‘Karmic structure’ that calls forth such wisdom? And who is the ‘my’ in that sentence. It can’t be Ego as that only calls forth ego desire based on ego-self preservation. Surely that which asks for/calls forth such wisdom is something other than a karmic shell as Sadhguru seems to suggest. And why does he say in the middle of the talk that someone ‘takes another body’ and at the end he says ‘don’t believe any of this afterlife or rebirth nonsense’. I like Sadhguru but this makes no sense at all to me.
With such an elaborate explanation the idea is to confuse. I am sure if he can be to the point to the other questions, he can be to the point to this question. He isn't saying karma is actually inside the subconscious. So through meditation we tap it we have solved the biggest mystery of karma, rebirth and soul.
I love this comment section, how everyone is discussing consciousness, and that everyone is on path to truth. This is what we need in school and everywhere on earth. To seek the truth without hurting others.

This is Sankhya Vedic metaphysics (around which both yoga/tantra and hindu temple traditions were built) which can be validated by logic, double slit quantum experiment and embodied experience (focus + meditation)
Now, touch your ego self and the objects around you.
There are many different schools of Buddhi, try Falun Gong, good luck.
Then no need of this two
“And because the soul has no birth, he therefore has no past, present or future.
Excellent ..Thank you
Exactly.

Only the worthy ones know which ones to pick, and when. Don't take it as a preaching or something - you'll waste your time. It takes a lot of guts to discard the idea of a Soul.

Non-Hindus: "I have a soul."
Hindus: "I am a soul occupying a body which restricts/limits my full potential. At the time of death this body will be discarded and I will move on to another body taking the consequences of my deeds with me."
Thats right!
please elaborate "taking the consequences of my deeds with me"

Why does the soul have to leave one body for another. How come little children in the ages of 3,4,5 and others talk about their past lives. I have twin sisters and a nephew who spoke of their past lives. My dad and my sister, (my nephew's mom ) were curious to find out, according to what was spoken, by my sisters and my nephew. To our utter surprise, everything they had spoken of was 99% true.
Fundamentally, there is a soul. And when we die. The
soul is pure spiritual energy in a metaphysical aspect that cannot be created or destroyed but changes form.
As a spirit that soul can choose its own path in choosing a newborn body which is regarded as reincarnation all based upon the karma of the prior
existence or experiences.
What?
Sadhguru speaks as if the Hindu scriptures are revealed truth. And Christians
have their Bible which they revere. It's all hogwash! We just don't know the origin of life, or the origin of the universe. There is no afterlife.
Our children are the only afterlife there is. Nature already provides for the continued existence of all species through the process of cell
division and reproduction. Every child born anywhere on the earth is our afterlife. We don't yet know the ultimate nature of matter,
so how can we speak of the physical body, or the mind body, or the energy body, or the spirit body? The reality that we wake up to every
morning is the one we need to tend to, and stop having our heads in the clouds.
Spirit is SAT-CHIT-ANANDA. A spark or ray of Spirit enveloped in the ideational (causal) body is termed soul.
@@saviohermandsouza8734 Thank you for the reply. You speak of a spark of Spirit, and of an ideational body. But where
do those ideas come from? We have no way of knowing the truth of that. It is like saying that there is a God. There is no
evidence for God, only hearsay. Things aren't so just because we say they are. We just don't know the origin of life, and
don't know the origin of the world; and we can't stand not to know so we invent religions about it. There are religions galore,
and fantastic beliefs about everything. But the only reality we can be certain of is the one we wakeup to every morning.
So let us tend to that. We know the Sun exists.

He is asked difficult question in front of a huge audience, he also has a limited time to answer.
Its ok if he doesnt explain fully what he would say.
Confusion is good
The soul is the atomic you reincarnated as per genetic variations.
Krishna says in the gita: " material nature consist of three modes --- goodness, passion, and ignorance. When the living entity comes in contact with nature, O mighty armed Arjuna he becomes conditioned by these modes."
Our forgetfulness of our true identity as being spiritual beings is due to the quality of ignorance; as Krishna says " from the mode of ignorance develop foolishness, madness and illusion." The statement, " I am this body " translates too " I am aware of this body" since it is by consciousness that we can know identity consciousness is our true identity.
Excellent I totally concur. You have understood what many of us in India have got wrong
People tend to oversimplify what they cannot understand; or rather what people don't want to admit that they don't understand

No rebirth.
Now thats your problem, i dont know.
Bubble popping does not happen when u die. When u dies, u may still hav karmic structure. It happens when u attain mahasamadhi. Probably he hasn't attained mahasamadhi yet.
Popping Bubbling powwwwww....
Yes I agreed with Mark
Krishna says in the gita: " work pertaining to the development of material bodies is called karma " and what is it that we work through to develop these material bodies? Krishna says, " material nature consist of three modes goodness, passion, and ignorance. When the eternal living entity comes in contact with nature, O mighty armed Arjuna, he becomes conditioned by these modes."
He further explains that our " fate " is determined by the mode that we have made the most prominent in our lifetime when he says " those situated in the mode of goodness gradually go upward to the higher planets; those in the mode of passion live on the earthly planets; and those in the abominable mode of ignorance go down to the hellish worlds." so in one sense by free will we create our fate by whatever mode we have made most prominent in our lifetime but it is material nature in the form of it's subtle modes that is the mechanism that places us in the realm that we deserve to go due to our work by working through the medium of the modes of nature.
So karma and reincarnation is all linked to these modes because in each mode there is a fate attached to it therefore karma is the fate derived from these modes.

On Point!
Sadhguru has just touched on something that is difficult to describe...in terms that I can understand. Some day I will fully understand. I hope you will grow to understand.
Your's is right question.
There is no re-birth once you are liberated. Till you are Liberated, the non-physical, gets into one physical after another. This is death and rebirth. Changing from one physical to another.
However it depicts a rebirth! This is just his view and not the universal truth ! What is actually the universal truth of rebirth?

He first said that everyone accepts another body after death and then at 9:49 he says not to believe in after-life? Is he aware of what he speaks?
He says not to believe cuz people might use excessive imagination and assume things he didn't mean. Instead he wants us to just listen to it, without believing or disbelieving cuz one day if we are perceptive and intelligent enough to see and understand these kind of things, we'll be able to relate.

@@senerathdissanayake3993Moksha simply means microcosm to macrocosm.. What sadhguru is saying is there is no individual identity based on athma but it does NOT mean there is no conscious and immanent athma (true divine self) which is equal to omnipresent and transcendent brahman (true divine self). So, athman = brahman. Why?
1. Conscious, immanent and omnipresent athma is the observer and experiencer of individual 5 senses even though not the doer.
2. Without the conscious, immanent and omnipresent athma nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles can happen eg Birth/death (including reincarnation cycles), wave/particle, energy/matter, manifestation/concealment, summer/winter, freezing/melting, man/woman, day/night, sleep/wake etc This is Sankhya Vedic metaphysics (around which the both the yoga/tantra and hindu temple traditions were built). Sankhya can be validated by logic, double slit quantum experiment and embodied experience (focus + meditation)
3. Buddhists murdered Sankhya Vedic metaphysics by saying no shiva (athma) and no shakhti (intelligent energy) and the world is an illusion and does not exist. Vedas say that nothing exists only if there is no conscious, immanent and omnipresent athma. Now, touch your 'ego" self and the objects around you. Do they exist? Then your true self or athma also exists. Point is shiva and shakhti always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles to happen
4. ADVAITHA vedantha does NOT say that Maya is an illusion through which Brahman falsely appears as the universe. Maya is the creative shakthi of Brahman and it is absolutely real. So, the material realm is also very real.
Mithya does not mean false either. It means relative or temporary world just like temporary tasks in your office which you have to complete since they are not false. In other words, the subject (you) and the object (external world) split may be temporary but it does NOT mean the subject and object are false or do not exist.

To entertain God.
It's disturbing. They say, you have this question, why all this mess, until you cross the barriers of karma. Once you cross it you have the answer n no question. I sound like talking physics.
How u explain people who are close to each other will get together in their next lives.?
By the power of their mental body. "INTENSION!"
Agreed! Well explained. Are we co creators? What we think we become, what we feel we attract, what we imagine we create …
I liked that presentation. Sadhguru’s argument about what happens after death is very similar to that made by Tibetan Buddhists.
Yeah, I agreed with it. When the karma is intense the ghost still hang on. Physic people will feel those connection because ghost can sense it. Ghost can always find you because you have a gps tag unless you block it.
So has my body been found or will I find another body. Is it explanation or confusion.
That's why Bible says "dust returns to earth, and spirit returns to God who gave it". "Flesh and blood cannot inherit Kingdom of God" -Jesus.
That's a very biased good
The kingdom of God is within you
Extremely basic reasoning there. Goes for the 2 answers below yours....
Sadhguru speaks:
"there is no such thing as your soul …"
"Karma is the cement which holds you to the physical body."
And who is this "you" but the soul?
"Karma is the bondage at the same time, it’s only because of karmic stuff you can hold on to the body and be here."
And who is this "you" but the soul?
"if you dismantle the karmic structure hundred percent, now you merge with the existence."
And who is this "you" but the soul?
Sri Aurobindo speaks:
"It is necessary to understand clearly the difference between the evolving soul (psychic being) and the pure Atman, self or spirit. If having reached the spiritual state, it wills to pass out of the terrestrial manifestation, it may indeed do so - but there is also possible a higher manifestation, in the Knowledge and not in the Ignorance."
From: Complete Works of Sri Aurobindo,Volume 28, Letters on Yoga Volume I, page 536
Does that mean the soul or spirit is cosmic energy
Listen...make it easy...there is only consciousness...it holds different minds u can say...one part of the mind is our identity.....so the soul u can say is consciousness+identity...the identity evolves with the energy body...so here when Sadhguru is saying about soul, he is means consciousness, and there is nothing like your awareness and my awareness....but i said what your mind is making up....soul is consciousness+identity+energy body(chakra system)...hope it makes sense :)
There is a whole CIVILIZATION dedicated to life after DEATH. "THE EGYPTIAN CIVILIZATION" - the pharaos!! Definitely concurs to Sri Aurobindo !!
There is a soul but in yoga it is called an energetic body - same thing different words - so for this guy to say soul does not exist is him saying "i use different words to talk about the same thing"
Not very wise.
Does good karma give you good physical body

Every person has their own opinion. But in reality its a person's expeince that a person finds out the truth.
This is all belief ! - When he describes the 5 dimensions of the body, he fell into his own trap: It´s a belief system. Then, I remember the words of J. Khrisnamurti: "Belief has no place, where truth is concerned".
There has been a 50 year research done on life after death and similar scenarios
Please go and check it out and you would see how Naive your comment is
So you expect Sadhguru to telepathically explain it through a RUclips video?
I m very much thankful for this video... Plzz upload some rare discourses like this..... ShivSambhoo👣🤝🤗💤🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
You ever notice with a lot of these guys that know it all, they all have different variations of what's true, it's the same with religion. My conclusion is that we all have our own truths we all are Gods living in our own worlds
Here here.
What is it like "to merge with the existence" ?
When joining the sea, and becoming the sea, does the drop of water stay aware of itself, or the whole thing is another way to describe the inevitable ?
@Thymoteo Eevi This is an analogy.
How to dismantle the karmic structure..?
U build like that just a spirituell Ego...which keeps u in the mindplay.
No one was ever born, No one will ever die, SRI NISARGADATTA MAHARAJ
go tell that to a woman in hospital giving birth...
So for an English person the short answer is: "Yes", there is life after death, but not in the way they may expect it to be.
it's a believe. like heaven is a believe.
you just choose to believe it.

I think he refers to multiple beliefs, at 5:10 he says how the same concept in Hindu, yogic, and Buddhist traditions are called different things. All of which teach much of the same things, as all religions do.
To all those who find this overwhelming and feel inferior just one advise - give as much alms as possible to needy - within your capacity - it can be time, money, advise, tuition, food etc etc - AND meditate on it and continue the good deeds - there is no better feeling and liberation than that - rest is up to nature - not everybody can be doctors, engineers, mathematicians, magicians, singers etc - to each his own and quit worrying about liberation - that's the best liberation one can be in
All the material things we do effects only the material aspect of our existence... Liberation is a different ball game...

There are times when ı feel in absolute nothingness but this is not in a bad sense.I do feel I am not there as a seperate body or character. Not in a meditation not in loneliness but when awake and walking..this gives me a total relief and lightness where I dont define myself and existence.
Lots to ponder from this! Love Sadhguru's talks! Such knowledge he has about life and death❤️
Perhaps if there was less echo reverb in the sound it may have be understood better
People talk about their beliefs as though it's all proven, solid facts.
What makes us feel good and enjoy this thing called life is 'divine', everything else is just words, ideas, abstract reality etc
Btw i am also shocked by the confidence that sadghuru has talking about some topics, but at least he is not defining laws based on his perception. He is just answering questions that people what to be answered by him because he is wise on many topics.
He also said, you don't have to believe me nor any other thing, you can experience it on your own.
You must believe and understand basic mathmatics in order to move on to higher mathmatics.

I don’t want to go heaven I want to stay again and again but just better person of myself and do something good for everyone.
Who is "myself"? Your ego self (thoughts/body) or the real divine self or the soul which is conscious, self luminous, immanent, transcendent and omnipresent, without which nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles can happen. eg Birth/death (including reincarnation cycle), energy/matter, man/woman, wake/sleep etc.
don’t let your intelligence fools you , I believe in God the Father and Jesus Christ, NOBODY gonna change my mind .
Seriously an extremely well-presented and succinct explanation.
Seriously!!?? Its quite contradictory!
Stop giving a noun form to it and desensitize people towards nature.
And SOUL, i am sure even you are confused as much as i or sadhguru are in that subject. All of us are only trying to understand it better - STOP CONCLUDIMG AS IF U OR SADHGURU IR ANY DAMN BEING ALREADY KNOWS ABOUT IT... THERE IS A LOT WE HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT IT.
@@guruk give him some slack, he hasn't died yet so he is as clueless as you and me but he has a borrowed concept
What are you explaining I cannot understand tell me what is energy and who control energy

Sometimes we missed the important part.
concepts and ideas sold as truth, Nobody has the truth, but you can make a living talking as if you did
@Orane Appleby I agree but clues are just clues, open to interpretation.

There is not one living being who knows what comes next, you have a theory, you can believe what books say or you cannot believe what books say but iether way it's just your personal choice.
So what comes next
@@keerts8986 any kind of meditation?
Soul is awarness of the illusion we created called physical life (being human), which is made up of duality. When you overcome it, then the soul is nomore. You can overcome it by detaching your energy from the senses and constantly focusing it on the inner mind
Yes you explained it clearer than he did
He is saying that there is no soul ,then what Krishna is saying in 2nd chapter of Bhagwad Gita, is that wrong?? But Krishna can not be wrong,so soul exists and rebirth is also there . When he says that the person who dies peacefully, finds aother body within few hours that is rebirth only.
what he is saying is the soul as defined by some others perception is not true. Because many people have their own definitions of what soul is.
