+Victor G Yeah, Waling Dead has a different pacing and, sadly, more episodes per season. I wish GoT could ramp it up to at least 12 and thereby also slow down a little. A million things happened in the 2nd episode, which sometimes makes it harder to appreciate the scope of those events. Balon Greyjoy and Roose Bolton died; we got a look into the past and saw Lyanna and Hodor, who used to be "normal" and all that is still by far not the most important thing that happened.
I don't see how Roose did NOT forsee Ramsay doing what he did after learning about his brother... I don't see why Roose didn't arange for Ramsays death (or at least SOME sort of arrangements) right after his son was born

The kid would lose power to a regency if Roose dies prematurely for about the next 15-16 years of his life, until he reaches adulthood (And regencies are not exactly known throughout history for respecting their wards) The safer bet was still for Roose to maintain an adult heir for a certain period of time, even if that adult heir was Ramsey

+Brian MacLeod Agree. I was watching one of GRRM interviews the other day, and then he's asked something like: "Where did you come with the name Hodor?". He hesitates for a moment and then he says (again something like): "Well, I guess you will have to wait to find out".
That makes me support the theories about his name being a pretty big deal for the story. Like that about his name relating to the Great Other, which makes sense since Martin have said that Nordic culture has influenced him in his writing.
Maybe this season we'll find out :D

It's possible that lightning had struck Wyllis and resulted in him to be like this. In a scene where Osha, Rickon, Meera, Jojen, Bran and Hodor are inside a run-down tower (after fleeing from Winterfell upon Theon's betrayal), a storm starts brewing and you can hear thunder in the background. Everytime there is an audible sound of the cracking thunder, Hodor recoils and glances at the sky with fear. Eventually wildings appear outside and so the group must remain hidden, however, unfortunately at the same time, the thunder becomes more frequent with Hodor growing increasingly unsettled and so Hodor shouts louder with each sound of thunder. In a desperate attempt to quieten Hodor down, Bran is forced to warg into his mind to do so, at which point it is too late and the group are forced to face the people outside. It definitely seems as though Wyllis had some sort of traumatising experience with lightning in the past and seeing as how he was completely fine before, it seems that the way Wyllis is now may be the result of being struck by lightning. Just my thoughts on what could've happened to Wyllis (Hodor).

+Yaseen Ahammed That's definitely a possibility but if he survived something like that he'd be looking a lot more like The Hound. Good job picking up on it, but I'd rather believe that it might be magic-induced (like a sort of curse binding him to only be able to say Hodor) and that the setting of when it happened just happened to be a storm. Maybe there's a bigger meaning behind what "Hodor" means, maybe Wyllis did something to piss the wrong person off or knows something that Bran shouldn't know.
Kind of like ur theory but what if Bran goes back to the past and sees a moment where it's thunder and lightning and when the Lightning strikes young Wylis next to a tree, he sees Bran for a split second, and Bran just automatically gasps Hodors name "Hodor" and is shocked to know that Young Wylis (Hodor) sees him. Then this traumatises Hodor. Which then leads to Bran knowing that it was actually HIM that made Hodor the way he was................(LOLOL)

I honestly dont think it was anything special that got hodor like that, i think it was more of a head injury. I was in a psychology class not too long ago and watched a video about someone who had a head injury and ended up with basically had the same condition as hodor except instead of saying hodor he said tono

LoL, I read the books too and that is why I was surprised, what he said at that moment was purely predicting very accurately what was going to happen, which we saw word for word in Episode 3 this last week. Most of the events in Season 6 so far have not happened in the books. The last place we left off with Arya, Jon, Cersie, etc. is exactly where they left off in the books. There are a few things happening that are twisted versions of their book counterparts (such as almost everything with Brienne, Sansa, and Theon, and almost all of Tyrion)

Can you do a theory on how Bran Stark is actually responsible for creating the Mad King's condition?
In episode three Ned Stark was able to hear Bran's voice, even facing towards the direction towards his voice. You could clearly tell that the bloodraven knows the consequences of meddling with the past, but Bran is eager to change it (evident from Bran's frustration of leaving the past).
He abused his warging powers and eventually tried to reason with Aerys II by communing with him, but was actually the source of the whispers that drove him insane.

+Tyronus Smith Personally I really don't want Game of Thrones to get in to changing the past and all that nonsense. It makes for sloppy and cheap storytelling. Also Bloodraven does say to Bran that the ink of the past is already dry. Plus I dislike the idea of Bran starting Roberts Rebellion alltogether.

I think the show was trying to mislead us when they showed us Pyke after theon said he was going "Home". I don't think Theon was referring to Pyke when he said that. Winterfell has always be Theon's home, not the Iron Islands. I think Theon is gonna go back to Winterfell and try take care of Ramsey once and for all, knowing Sansa will never be safe wherever she goes as long as Ramsey is still alive. Besides, what is there at Pyke for Theon?
