This was done at The Warnings school just before they went to Berklee College of Music in Boston. Dany, Ale and Pau each picked a song for the set that would showcase their skill. Ale picked Hysteria. Dany picked Crazy Train and Pau picked Everlong. It was shortly after this performance that Matt Bellemy's guitar manufacturing company Manson Guitar Works reached out to Dany and offered her their MA-S5, which you can see her play in a couple songs from their Lunario concert in Mexico City. Liceo is gender segregated Catholic school in Monterrey Mexico.
One of the things you will learn about Alejandra is that she is a perfectionist. At the time of this performance she was 10 years old. She learned and mastered it at 8 years old!
Ale is extremely talented as are the other two sisters but Ale is especially persistent until she has whatever she wants to learn down. David Bendeth commented that Ale can hang with the best of them. Here is her learning to play and how dedicated to practice until she conquers her objective she is. The Warning - Ale y su maestro Pablo (bajista de Los Claxons). As for her reach she was even playing a 6 string bass in practice around this age.
This is what Ale could do at 10 years old. She also posted this bass line on YT when she was 16 and it has 2.8 million views. Even better, Muse posted it on their official Facebook page and it got another 1.2 million views.
We tend to forget that they are still very young. Talent and practice with dedication and sacrifice is why they are such an amazing band. Great reaction and as always, thanks for sharing your musical knowledge to us non playing listeners. Cheers. 🤟
They are still very young. There really is no ceiling for them. They've got the skill, both musically and personality wise, to reach a status far beyond what's been done before.
Their performance at this concert and for their age is very impressive. I really enjoy watching all their school mates in the audience singing along to their original songs (such as Free Falling)…yes, they already had originals under their belt at this age. 🤯.
Aha! I told you ! Your smile says it! The demanding ability of this theme vs so young age for these girls is breathtaking. Shauntrack showed an analysis of the Hysteria theme with subtitles), so complex and fantastic.
We would all like them to do a few different covers, but that is not going to happen anytime soon. LOL. They were 15, 13 and 10 years old when they played at Liceo (The private school they all attended). Ale was playing her sort scale Bass here because she was too small for a full size Bass. Ale has grown into a long-stemmed beauty and has very long fingers, so no problem playing complex Basslines. Here is Ale playing Hysteria Bassline by herself at 15 years old on her Spector Bass: ruclips.net/video/Qxs0m7GTBh0/видео.html If you are a Muse fan, I think their more impressive cover is the Muse song "Resistance": ruclips.net/video/6YU42y8H_d8/видео.html Here they are even a year YOUNGER than at Liceo! Just Amazing!
Now days, Those "tricks" that muse uses are the kind of the same that the Waning does it as well. It's natural if you want to have a full sound with a three piece band. There is nothing wrong with it if you like what they are playing. Excellent reaction!!!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with it if you have the skill set to make it work live. Very few bands do though. That's what set Muse and The Warning above the others.
Sorry I'm late to the channel, TWA here. We love those who love them! New sub because of your reaction that gives insight and knowledge of the difficulty about this song and also not really commenting on their ages.
Yeah, I don't think people really understand how TOUGH of a bassline that really is for even an established player, let alone, one as young as she was here. Also Dany played her part perfectly without ANY effects, which are a HUGE part of this song when Muse plays it.
Can The Warning plays Muse?? Yes. Since Muse let The Warning opened their Mexican leg (4 shows) tour last Jan (2023). *Note:* Ale already had tickets for the show at Monterrey, MX before Muse asked them to open. The Muse also asked them to open for them (5 shows) in Europe (2023). The Warning was impressive enough the Muse guitarist Matt Bellamy gave Dany a one of a kind Manson Yellow Mustard guitar.
Yep, I hadn't watched this one in a short while, been living with their newer stuff lately, thinking about the tour. This one reminds me how they stole my heart initially. And it might be a safe bet that none of the kids in the audience had ever heard that song, or Muse or understood how talented their classmates were.
This concert was performed a couple of months after the girls released their EP Escape the Mind, their first recorded set of original songs and music. All of which they wrote themselves. No assistance from parents or music teachers. Ale learned this song 2 yrs earlier, when she was 8, as did Pau and Dany. A year earlier they recorded "Resistance" in their home studio. Link is below. ruclips.net/video/6YU42y8H_d8/видео.html
Don't stop at this performance man , there are lots more originals and two more covers , including The foo fighters Everlong , ( Pau on drums is not to be missed ) and Ozzies crazy train ( with an interesting start and ending , many thanks .
Can the Warning play Muse, oh yes, yes they can. Ale for 9yr old playing the bass like that, wow, that was impressive. My favorites of all their songs from Liceo are, "Escape the Mind" and "Everlong". They're just so talented and at such a young age, the world will be warned soon, they're coming. 😆
On top of what you said, I can't stand the sickly breathy singing style of the lead singer of Muse. This performance and singing style by Dany is AWESOME, and I'll sooner listen to this version over the original any day!
Hi, I'm Bill, I'm just another old fart who has been playing bass nearly my entire life now (64, started at 12), and STILL can't play as well as Ale could at 9. We are Legion (she's that good, better than most all of us lol)
why are you doing it backward? I watch them grow and bloom into beautiful talented ladies right before my eyes , literally , I still remember their enter sandman cover become viral like it was just yesterday, man how far they are now
Little known fact: Our atomic clocks have been synced to Ale. Every month, the atomic clock’s vibrations are synced to Ale playing scale excercises.
Lol. Greenwich Ale time !
They could definitely do worse for that!
At this time. Dany was 14. Pau was 12. Ale was 9. Plus Ale was playing the bass for only 2 to 3 years.
Ale has always been a very technical player. Pau has always been straight aggression. Dany is a straight up rocker. These sisters are the real deal.
That, they are!

Yep
Man, I've wanted a Manson guitar for so long. Them things are PRICEY! lol

Ale! Ale! Ale!
The Warning just opened for "Muse".
Four shows in Mexico, Jan. 2023.
One off their bucket list.

That's awesome! I give them huge credit for always pushing their abilities.
I did have smile at the headline, "Can They Play Muse". In their sleep 😴.
ONE OF THE BEST COVERS OF THE WARNING, WHERE ALL ALE'S TALENT AS A BASSIST IS APPRECIATED, HYSTERIA
We tend to forget that they are still very young. Talent and practice with dedication and sacrifice is why they are such an amazing band.

If memory serves me well, *Escape the Mind* EP had been out long enough for their schoolmates to learn the songs.
There’s also a later solo from Ale playing which Muse praised on their website. Dany also played a Manson for a while, which is Matt’s company….🤘
That's awesome!

Yeah, Muse are stellar. their music is absolutely NOT for amateurs to attempt.
Interesting that The Warning is now on their 2nd tour, opening for Muse. 😮

The only cover they are playing these days is their version of Enter Sandman from the Blacklist album. 🤘🏻😀
They don't do much covers nowadays, but, they have done "Resistance" by Muse in a live session from The Warning Cave 🤘⚡🔥
Muse is such a great band. takes a ton of skill to even attempt their songs, even more to do it right!
By the way also covered Resistance
Even back then, Ale had already set her sights on becoming the Goddess of Thunder!
When i watched this cover for the first time i was sitting there like you - mouth open and totally impressed

one of my favorites.
Their original music at this show is fun to watch, all the classmates singing along.
Ty great comment. You have to listen to another great Muse cover by very young The Warning: Resistance. As Dany once said One of her favourite covers.
I will look it up. Muse are a stellar band.
Can The Warning plays Muse??
Yes.

Nope, Got lots more to cover with time.
Old bass player: "Hey Ale, betcha can't play Hysteria by Muse!" Ale: "Hold my Lemonade, Mom!"
I think that Ale´s favorite songs are the most complicated bass line, she has said that loves Hysteria, Atlas Rise (Metallica cover), and Z.
The warning said what's the next song ya this young girls are the best ya
the warning on fire 🔥🔥🤘🤘
Can the Warning play Muse, oh yes, yes they can. Ale for 9yr old playing the bass like that, wow, that was impressive. My favorites of all their songs from Liceo are, "Escape the Mind" and "Everlong". They're just so talented and at such a young age, the world will be warned soon, they're coming. 😆

Thanks man to say about Ales play!

Just OK? And it’s not so complicated but more like exhausting!
