I love FORD cars, am fascinated to the way it drives me safely to my home.

@@bobbiejim04 from my experiences. Can't blame the car battery as a non starter. They're not always made by Ford. Otherwise they are pretty good enginewise

I drive a 2012 Ford Expedition XLT and I love it. It may be big but man is it roomy and it doesn't feel like your driving a boat when steering

Ford has one better facility for cold testing in Thompson Manitoba which freezes the door handles off cars lots of -40 celsius and windchill factors to -60 celsius, it doesn't get anymore real world than that

Жара и холод и прочее "безобразия" погоды. :) Как бы их надоумить добавить тесты на соль и другие агрессивные химические реагенты. Применяемые дорожными службами, во всех странах, где есть Ford :) Правда далее начнутся "войны" между инженерами и "существами цель работы которых оптимизировать затраты на производство, довести до состояния смотрите но не трогайте, завернуть в красивую упаковку и продать с запрограммированным расчетом в дальнейшем содрать с клиента ещё много много денег на запчасти и техническое обслуживание". И как показывает статистика поломок авто, "существа" побеждают.

Yeah... Still rusts like hell though. You should have a bit more thorough quality controll in terms of the paint jobs.
And you mention the cold as a big opsticle, no it's not. It's the road salt, and the cars you produce now can't even handle cold weather. I've had the door handle on a mondeo froze in open position so you couln't close the door and so on.

Martin Karanikolov I have never said they don't rust, but mine is older than my fathers Mondeo with 8 months still doesn't have rust on it, while his does. As a result of a crappy paint job, Also have a friend who works at a Ford dealership, he says the quality of the paint jobs are horrible too.
If that doesn't say anything i don't know what does. and both cars are made in 2011.
I still like Ford don't get me wrong, but they need to do something about those problems.
2 vehicles as "sample size" truly say nothing from a scientific point of view ;)
I drive a 2007 Mustang (in winter as well, with salt everywhere) and have 0 rust. Recently even checked everything underneath.
It's only a sample of 1, but so are our both examples invalid for making any statements about paint job quality or corrosion sealing.
Michael Timofeev Well i have more samples, For instance a 2004 Mondeo, and a 96 Escort. Both of them not too great rust protection but believe it or not the 96 Escort was the better of the 2. And i also had an 09 Opel Insignia, also no rust on that either.
throw And where do you live? If you live somewhere you've bearly heard of snow it's not unusual in terms of cars not rusting.

bajukuyup The powershifts are like the biggest reliability issues with fords, aside from that, they're pretty solid.
In Brazil powershift is called "powershit". Lot of problems

i live in turkey.i bought a new fiesta. two months later weather was snowy and temperature was -2C and i waa driving and i saw that water is coming into the car feom front glass :) then i went to the seller and they say 'ok it is normal we will ask for quarantie' after one week they repaired it and gave me the car. it is funny and i dont believe you ford. i wont buy any ford after that bad fiesta

I have a Mondeo and the quality is better than a BMW 5 series, seriously. I had a 5 Series before I bought my 2016 Mondeo Titanium and my Mondeo is way more comfortable

Fade He probably bought a modified 5-Series with racing bucket seats and lowered racing suspension. Even then it's still more comfortable then a Ford.

rubixsolvezzz _ Some cars sure, like my bmw, but not a ford. Ford's are pretty reliable aside from the models with powershift transmissions. Every ford my family has owned has lasted 300-500k.

rubixsolvezzz _ If you think Fiestas built between 1995-2002 we're a laugh for having 99,999-00,000 mileage clocks (Ford never expected them to last that long) the 1.0 litre EcoBANG engine is even better. 31,000 miles reached if your lucky. I believe the worst offender of the lot is the 125ps output. Even early Fiestas lasted 99,999 miles.
