As one who is about to see my own house poured, you certainly take the mystery out of it. And yet still there is so much going on at the same time, so you make it look easy. Years of experience, there is nothing like it. thanks for the vid, Awesome.
Nice work mate. I was a contractor in nz and we always did it just as you showed. Your technique is nearly perfect. Some of the stupid comments show a complete lack of understanding for ffl and ff, or how important the screeding is to the final product. Great video
Thanks Ninja for exposing your trade too a wider skilled and unskiled audience! Always a pleasure to see a tradesman take pride in his life's artworks. Mate, these concrete finishing lessons are invaluable not only to us older heads but especially to the new breed of trademen. I enjoy your content and great work bud by educating us all on the intricacies of the trade. We need more of this spirit across the construction industry in Australia. Cheers JP (Electrician)
Love ya videos mate, as a 32 year old just starting, I have learnt heaps from your videos. nice simple and effective, Your great at explaining and a weapon at work 👌💪
Hi Concrete NINJA just like to say hi from the U.S we are from Louisville Kentucky and i have been watching your videos for the last 2 years and you have earned every thumbs up you ask for and receive because concrete work is hard and very physical. I have been doing concrete work ever sense 1994 in the U.S i would like one of your all's finish triles and floats and would love a bull float also to see the pros and cons of yours compared to ours. And screw the 2 thumbs up you deserve 10 thumbs up and would like to thank you personally for all the time you spend making all the videos for the new and old guys in the business i think there are a lot of haters and na sayers out here who are just hating on you but they need to be looking back at themselves instead of you, your just trying to educate some of us guys in the business. So thank you again and again and they suck. I went out on my own 3 and a 1/2 years ago and its been a lot of ups and a couple of downs but i wouldn't trade it for nothing at all and i have stayed more busy then i could of ever thought and you have helped me in some ways. So thank you and send me a few free tools or what ever you can spare. Keep up the awesome work brother and stay healthy you and your family and your mother and and Lawrence and all your concrete brothers. Waiting for the next video💪💪🥋🥋🥋🤙🤙🤘🤘💪💪💪👍👍👍👍👍😄😃😄😃😄😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Gr8 work buddy. Ive been out of the game a while due to health but, the taste of concrete is well cemented & set. Its great to see someone like yourself share your skill and experience.. Awesome

Hi Concrete Ninja, Fantastic educational concrete screeding video! The camera angles were perfect; we can see exactly what you are trying to achieve. This could be used as a teaching aid in construction courses at schools. With screeding like that, there is almost no need to bull-float. I find it difficult to use the longer screed (low strength). You could point out that wider side could be screeded perpendicularly, using the shorter (8 foot) screed, and then continued down the centre as before. Thanks for the tuition 🤗 🤗 🤗 P.S. can you please show us what happened after the rain
Thanks mate and there is some teachers out there that do use my videos in their taste classes some of the boys send me clips of them watching them in class all the time and there is a picture on my story of the finishing job
Quality screeding mate, get a line down either side, pull the middle out and close it up, important to keep the screed square to ur body too, U know it job well ;)
Here in the states we use a 2x4 or a 1 1/2 x 4 aluminum screed !! But alot of guys use power screeds !! I always use a aluminum screed !! Its fairly easy if you have a good rake man or 2 !!
It took me ages to find a place selling a real screed up here in Canada finally found a small family own building supply store selling OX products those 1 1/2 x 4 aluminium screeds just feel too flimsy
Very true!! Good raker/shovel man makes a hell of a difference. Also ive learnt from experience, if the screeder is a grumpy old italian guy, youll never be doing it right. The only guy he'll accept behind him is another grumpy old italian guy.
Hi Mate, ive seen your videos on exposed concrete and they are very helpful Could you give the exact recipe/formula for the sugar water that you use as retarder ? cheers Nick
Nice work and very informative. I have only used a big screed once to do my own garage slab and it came out OK but I worked a lot harder to get it. I should have hired out a couple of blokes with rakes.

Hi Concrete ninja, how would you overcome dips in the concrete when screeding larger areas when you are far from corners?
It’s the way you do it the screed can always be flat and find flat you just gotta learn how to run it over areas to check
You have to put in wet pads brother
