To make it clear, the germans Oliver Kalkofe and Peter Ruetten are not podcasters, they have a full-fledged TV comedy show about the worst movies of all time. And the channel they were on at that time, Tele 5, shows a LOT of Asylum Productions, so do the math.
The obvious plot for a How Did This Get Made movie is have act 1 be Jason & June & Paul going to a movie and then after they ham it up about the film there is a some kind of Cloverfield-type scenario OR some other kind of high drama OR a string of action-packed comedic shenanigans.
