So she just cut a strip of same direction( not on bias or selvedge) stitch it with single straight stitch then fold and stitch with twin needle. First stitch line being simple is going o break ?

Ужасная грубая работа. С отрезанного края распускается 3-4 ряда и обязывается крючком в каждую петельку. Эффект фабричного начала вязки.
