Thanks for sharing , this video really helps me to decide! I think for a first espresso machine the Anna 2 will do the job for me.
Yes it will, very capable machine 😊
Thank you for putting up videos on lelit machines! They are extremely underrated, especially in the US. But I was wondering since you had first hand experience with both machines which one you prefer overall between the Victoria (1000 dollars) or Anna (640 dollars) considering the price difference?
It is a pleasure to do that :) Both are great but the Victoria is better, easier and more pleasant to work with. Better PID, better steaming, 58mm portafilter. But I think that the Anna win on value and can produce excellent beverage.
Just got myself an Anna pid and found this vid, patiently waited for the latte art. You are too funny my friend :)
You are too kind ;) thank you for your comment I appreciate.
@@CajournoOddity you are welcome 😀
Thanks for this informative video! :)
I‘ve read that the Victora refills the boiler automatically. What’s the advantage of that? What have you do on the Anna?
I appreciate that :) The advantage is more convenience and on less thing to do or worry about. For me it is one of the things that would make me go for the Victoria. Here is a video from my friend (not my friend but I would like that ;)) Java Jim looks at the 3 minutes mark and he will explain how to do it properly.

3:43 Very funny "AYOYE" in french LOL
This is very good machine,i want to buy it!
Hello! The temparature is 93. You have offset? How much have you set the offset?
Thanks for the video, I have the same machine as yours. Is it normal that the temperature is 94 degrees at the start of extraction and drops to 87-88 towards the end? I watched a video of the Lelit Grace pl 081, that remained 95 degrees stable during the extraction
Thanks
Hi! I do not have this machine I upgraded to the Lelit MaraX. I did find that the Anna add big variation in temperature, not the most stable.
the anna has the temp sensor near the boiler water inlet, therefore it always reads the temperature at the coolest part. Lelit insider has a video on how the temperature remains stable even if the PID shows otherwise.
@@CajournoOddity You couldn't be more wrong. I think it is even more stable than your new machine because the boiler is directly connected to the grouphead.
Take a look here: ruclips.net/video/D94HWxkaS28/видео.html
@@cristim9779 I will go see.
very interesting to see that I am surprise with these result. And I would not argue with the Lelit insider 😉
Hi, the Anna is my first machine. What is the best temerature to start with when I setup the machine?
Thanks Till
Hello, I would recommend 95 celsius - 203 F
Это нормально, что температура падает на 12 градусов во время приготовления?
Hi. Greeting. I just got my Anna Pid 1 month ago. It’s so far working great and product fantastic coffee. However when the machine goes into steaming mode, the brew group will make a very large popping sound and splashing a little bit of water out. What do you think, I know you don’t use Anna anymore, but did you have the same problem before?
HI. I did not have that issue when I had the machine, not sure that is normal. I would contact the seller to get some reasurrance. Hope that everything is fine but better be certain.
Cool video thanks! is this in Montreal? I have a Gaggia Classic Pro and I'm thinking of replacing it with Anna 2 LEM (without PID). The difference is $100 CAD so I think it's worth it for a slightly better machine. The boiler is bigger and it looks better too. The one with PID is 250 above the Gaggia so I don't think the PID is worth it.
Hi and thank you! No in Sherbrooke. It is a nice machine, but if you Have the Gaggia pro I don't think you will find much of an upgrade. But if you prefer it for only 100$ then it is worth it. :)
Thank you! Is it normal when the temperature drops by 10 degree during the process?
Yes it is normal for this type of machine, wait for it to go back to the right temperature for next coffee. :)
@@CajournoOddity Thanks!
I was searching for an answer to exactly this question. I have learned from this video ruclips.net/video/a2RSMg-650I/видео.html that the PID temperature drops but the brew temperature does not.
Hello! I purchased this machine but I'm having some troubles getting the pressure to go over 3 bars. I've tried different grindings and I can only get it to around 8 when I overcharge the basket. I don't know if is something wrong with the machine. Could you help or give me any advice? Thank you!
Hi. First what is your grinder? Very important for getting good result. Then work with fresh bean that you grind with your grinder when you make your drink. Use a scale to mesure your quantity wheight of the bean before and after you grind.
Why do you start with the milk? how long does it take from extraction to reach steam temperature?
I prefer to do shot before milk less complicated to steam after. It take about a minute to reach steam temperatures.
Hello, thanks for your good vidéo .If we compare it with delonghini dedica?
Thanks! Dedica will give you good espresso as the Anna and will be easier to use I think (I never tried the Dedica). But the Anna is more prosumer machine.Depend if you just want your espresso or you want a hobby.
Thank you for your video. Could you tell me which is the distance between the spouts and the dip tray? So, I can have an idea if some large cup (mug) will be able to put to get the coffee. If the distance isn´t enough, could you extract the metal grill?, in this case how many cm could you win? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I would like to tell you but I don't have the machine anymore. I have a Mara X now. Sorry, hope you can find that information. Consider asking a stroe if they can measure it for you, I am sure they will be happy to do it.
What made you buy the VICTORIA over the ANN2 back when you had the victoria? I imagine you compared both at the time and something made you pay the extra for the victoria. From a price point I love the ANNA but what annoys me is that it has the 57mm vs the 58, it is missing pre-infusion like the victoria, missing auto-refill like the victoria, and missing ability to change temp on steam like the victoria. It's almost like Lelit was wanting to FORCE people to move up to get these. An extra $600 for the lelit seems like a lot for these features. Not sure I can swing it and might have to go with the ANNA 2.
I bought the Victoria used then decided to sell it to get the MaraX. The Anna was lended to me while i was waiting for the MaraX. I really think that you will be very happy with the Anna 2, it can produce as good a shot then the Victoria. Save your money to buy better grinder. The Anna is good looking machine, very hard to beat for the price with all that it offer. I don't think the 57mm vs 58 is a big deal. What grinder do you want to buy?
@@CajournoOddity Sounds good. I will probably get the Fred Grinder or Eureka Mignon Facile
@@jm7720 both are good 😌
How many grams is the basket designed for? Im having a hard time with a super wet puck.
I think it is 18grams that was what i used. Try putting more or less and see if it helps
Hi, how is the Victoria better? The Victoria is also a single boiler, also this Anna has a PID which the Victoria doesn’t, so maybe I’m missing something?
HI. The Victoria autofill the boiler so you don't have to, it also have a 58 mm portafilter (compatible with a lot of accessories) and the water tray is bigger. The steam power is also better. It as preinfusion and a timer. Both machine are great, but the Victoria as more features.
Hi! How long is thé wait from turning this machine on to be ready for the shot ? And how long is the wait between 2 coffee?
HI. About 10 minutes to be ready. I do not have this machine now I have the Lelit MaraX so I don't precisely remember the time between shot. Maybe 2 to 3 min? Sorry I cannot be more precise.
@@CajournoOddity Thanks
do you think the PID is worth it? I am debating right now because after watching your video, the temperature does not stay at 92 while pulling the shot and still drops. No sure if there is any use for a PID if it does not keep the temperature consistant.
Yes it change but will come back to that temperature after some time. PID should get you more stable temperature than no PID but can you live without and make great coffee I would say yes. PID will do better on Heat exchanger and dual boiler machine.
@@CajournoOddity thanks for the reponse! I am still debating if I should go for the PID version or safe roughly 130 euros and invest in gadgets like tamper, better basket and so on
@@gnauben All money you save I would invest in a better grinder. :)
Are you happy with the Eureka grinder? I'm thinking about buying the exact same combo soon, after some years on Illy Iperespresso capsules....
Yes I am very happy with the grinder I recommended it. I restarted drinking coffee with caffeine during the start of the pandemic. This hobby kept me going. You will love your combo machine grinder. Bill be different then from the capsule ;)
@@CajournoOddity nice to hear. I also was thinking of buying the Anna 2 with built in grinder, or if not maybe buy the eureka grinder also. But I was thinking if the built in grinder does a good job then I would save space and money. What do you think?
Also haven’t decided between the gaggia classic and the Anna . Any comments?
@@AzizIzginI would really recommend a separate grinder. My first machine was a Barista express with built in grinder. I loved the machine but it was limited by the grinder. Then I had the Lelit Victoria with Lelit Fred grinder. The Fred grinder was better than the barista express one but again was not the best. The grinder is so much more important that you should invest in a good one (separate from the machine). Between the Gaggia and the Anna, I would choose the Anna because it as more features and a PID. But I think the Gaggia is the best machine price quality.
@@CajournoOddity alright then, I will buy the Specialita:) yay. Regarding the Anna or Gaggia, the most important is that the Anna is as good as the gaggia in quality of espresso shots and is also built to last.
My English isn’t the best, what exactly do you mean by the Gaggia being the best machine price quality”?
@@AzizIzgin Hi! The Anna is better then the Gaggia. But the Gaggia is almost half the price of the Anna here in quebec (dépend on the price of where you live). Don't worry about your English I am very average in speaking English. Hope it is more clear. :)
Does it come with both pressurized and non-pressurized filters?
No, but verify with the seller. Sometimes accessories differ.
Here is list of what’s included
57 mm chromed brass double filter-holder
Double filter basket
Single filter basket
Pod filter basket
Plastic tamper
Plastic coffee scoop
''ayoye!'' love from qc ;)
How many grams of coffee do you recommend for this 57mm portafilter?
18 and may vary depending on your coffee beans.
Hi @CajournoOddity is this ok that a temperature on the scree is changing all the time from 92 to 93? sometimes on my machine it's changing even more than 1-2 degrees.
Hi Ekaterina, yes it is normal the one I had also did that and I was told it was normal. You should not be worried about it.
Hi. I have this machine and I try steaming the milk at around 133-135°C, but it just warms up the milk, without adding foam/texture/anything. Do you know how could I solve this issue?
Hi. I don’t know for the time i add the machine it worked fine. Maybe 🤔 try adjusting your technique or changing your milk pitcher. Hope you find a solution ☺️
Is it possible w this machine to do a manual pre infusion before pulling shot?
Not that I am aware
how is compared to Gaggia Classic pro in ur opinion?
The Lelit as more feature, but the price is higher. Tough choice between this 2.
What temperature did you brew? What kind of roast was it?
Hi! The temperature was between 93 and 95. I don't remember the roast it's been too long, 😢
Got one during black friday, arriving in early january, can't wait!
You will 😊
How do you like it?
Took me a few weeks to get used to the frother, very happy right now. I think pl41tem is unbeatable for the price... If you don't mind the lack of qol featurea such as auto pre infusion, brew timer, auto purge etc, i belive it's the bestcin this price bracket...
can i ask how much you got it for on black friday?
Hi my machine flashes a message when on the steam setting its an S an upside down F and an E it doesn't just flash with the temparature do you know if this is an error ?
Sorry I don't know, try communicating directly to lelit via email. I you find out can you tell me what it was.
can you compare with breville express?
Sorry 😞 i don’t have the anna 2 it was only for a week. I have Marax now
How long does it take after one shot to get back to the right heat for the next shot? After your shot the temperatur seems to climb up to 100 degrees and then back to the 93 degress you set the PID to - whats the time for this process?
Hi! I do not have the machine to test it but from what I remember it was from 3 to 5 min. Sorry I can't be more precise
not more than 60-75 seconds. i got the anna at home.
How much coffee do you grind and what is tour yield?
I grind between 18g to 19g depending on the coffee and yield of 36g
@@CajournoOddity isnt it too packed 18-19 g ...of what I know this double basket can hold 14-18g
@@mcpulya6890710 no it was ok but i like long extraction. More coffee more resistance
Is the steam wand on a BALL JOINT? Can it move in ANY direction?
I had the machine for a short period of time, but if I remember well yes it can be moved in many direction.
Where is the general on/off switch?
On the back you have a master switch to turn on and off the machine if I remember correctly from the short time I had this machine.
Hi, I order the same machine and the eureka silenzio that is almost the same. From where you bought the mat under?
HI! Here is the link for the mat, from amazon. Enjoy your machine!
Wish it had a 58mm pf.... why do they have to be different
they want to sell you to next upper model :)
What was your grind size?
I do not remember but it vary with every new coffee I use.
Hi Cajourno. Where is your Lelit Mara X?
This video was made before i got the MaraX, that was the machine the shop where i bought the mara lended to me. It is at home 🏠 with me 😍
@@CajournoOddity Thanks. Lucky you ☺️
WHERE did you buy this machine?
I did not buy it, the store lend it to me when I was waiting to get my Lelit Mara X. This is the store with super service. www.doyondespres.com/en/
I don't think you can call it PID when the temperature drops 10 degrees during brewing. It's just a thermometer.
You seem to have a misunderstanding of how the machine and PID control works.
The temperature probe is in the boiler which is being refilled with cold water, drastically dropping the temp at the sensor. The water that will end up in the brew is not affected at all - Anna 2 has been measured to be constant up to .5 C
Just something about that plastic milk knob turns me off the whole machine. Too bad.
Your technique is disastrous. You shouldn't even bother to taste the espresso if you didn't distribute it.
You are right 😞
quebecois or what 😂???
Of course :)
@@CajournoOddity i knew it 😂💪
