    Thank you for putting up videos on lelit machines! They are extremely underrated, especially in the US. But I was wondering since you had first hand experience with both machines which one you prefer overall between the Victoria (1000 dollars) or Anna (640 dollars) considering the price difference?

    • @CajournoOddity
      @CajournoOddity  3 года назад +4

      It is a pleasure to do that :) Both are great but the Victoria is better, easier and more pleasant to work with. Better PID, better steaming, 58mm portafilter. But I think that the Anna win on value and can produce excellent beverage.

      the anna has the temp sensor near the boiler water inlet, therefore it always reads the temperature at the coolest part. Lelit insider has a video on how the temperature remains stable even if the PID shows otherwise.

    Cool video thanks! is this in Montreal? I have a Gaggia Classic Pro and I'm thinking of replacing it with Anna 2 LEM (without PID). The difference is $100 CAD so I think it's worth it for a slightly better machine. The boiler is bigger and it looks better too. The one with PID is 250 above the Gaggia so I don't think the PID is worth it.

    What made you buy the VICTORIA over the ANN2 back when you had the victoria? I imagine you compared both at the time and something made you pay the extra for the victoria. From a price point I love the ANNA but what annoys me is that it has the 57mm vs the 58, it is missing pre-infusion like the victoria, missing auto-refill like the victoria, and missing ability to change temp on steam like the victoria. It's almost like Lelit was wanting to FORCE people to move up to get these. An extra $600 for the lelit seems like a lot for these features. Not sure I can swing it and might have to go with the ANNA 2.

      I bought the Victoria used then decided to sell it to get the MaraX. The Anna was lended to me while i was waiting for the MaraX. You seem to have a misunderstanding of how the machine and PID control works.
      The temperature probe is in the boiler which is being refilled with cold water, drastically dropping the temp at the sensor. The water that will end up in the brew is not affected at all - Anna 2 has been measured to be constant up to .5 C
