I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks Lunime made GACHA Life 2 just to compete with Beowulf with Chibimation. Gacha Life 2 was unknown until a few months later after Chibimation and it's glowup was talked about more. And also, a few days ago, Beowulf said that there will be a delay in the release, and guess what Lunime posted on his discord as well? I'm excited for both releases but I just get the feeling they are competing?
Luni delayed the release because there were bugs found in the game..
I wouldn't blame him tbh, he pretty much has a monopoly over games like gacha club but gacha life 2 was probably in development already before the announcement.
Oh 100% I agree! Not to mention loads of the GL2 features are very similar go Chibimation.
I believe that atleast Chibimation will not be legally able to have the default hands. Since they are making a game with paid features and will be making money off the game they will have to recreate all new assets since using the OG ones would be concidered art theft if their making money off of it. (This could be inaccurate but its my theory on why they wont have the og hands)

Gacha doesn't "own" that style of hands because those glove type hands have been done a lot of times before. I'm sure you'll be able to draw the same ones for chibimation and also use them

As for my thoughts over the two apps comparison, I guess that Chibimation is more for the users that like to have an excessive amount of detail for their character, and GL2 will be more for the ones who likes simple style.
My guess is that screenshot gachatubers will be more likely to go on Chibimation for the details and import features, and the animators (like myself) will prefer the GL2 app for the simple design (experience speaking, I take hours to make 1 model, and my designs are quiet simple in comparison to what we can see on YT)

In my conclusion.. Since both of the developers worked hard and they both got their game delayed, i feel like both of their games are very beautiful and amazing since they worked so hard for it, chibimation looks cuter but both of them still worked hard, both of their hard work pays off :)

Honestlu in my opinion i don't think luni id making gl2 to compete with cm. after being offline for 2-3 years with no updates, i think that luni wants to...how do i say this Get back on track? Personally, the fact they had to make adding assets not free just ruined chibimation for me. Like, I’m broke as hell I cannot pay for that no matter how low the price. 😭 So I have to rate it a 4.5/10 for me, gacha life 2 is a 8/10, it’s really good and I like how you can adjust literally everything. I just hate how they didn’t add that many new assets like shirts, pants, and shoes.

Tbh I’m probably going with chibimation on this one Gacha Life 2 looks ok? But tbh Luni could’ve just updated either game with the stuff they put in GL2 then again I don’t develop games so maybe that might’ve been impossible so making a new game was the only option?
Idk but I like Chibimation a lot more because the staff on their discord are super friendly we constantly are receiving updates about the game as well as near daily uploads on asset designs
Meanwhile I’ve heard barely anything on Gacha Life 2 and have no idea what’s it about other than a few things I don’t think the game will be terrible but the pros for Chibimation kinda outweigh the ones for GL2 but I’ll be giving both a chance when they come out and form a more clear opinion then :)!

Personally, I heard about gacha life 2 after I heard about gacha nebula and that it's still in progress but might come out this year. I don't know If it was only me finding out that late but I do think Luni kinda made GL2 just to compete with gacha nebula and also chibimation.

Reason why chibimation doesn’t have the Gacha default hands is due to the fact chibimation does not want to associate there game with Luni’s games, reason why they have different hands (and the fact it was voted to have actual hands and not the default hands)

ive been keeping up with the chibimation dev logs and from what chibimation is going to have so far and the fact that now gacha life 2 is adding the same things chibimation was doing first, it's clear that luni is trying to compete with chibimation by copying what the devs are doing.

For the last time, its not a competition. IT NEVER WAS! Luni didnt make Gacha life 2 because he "wanted to keep up with chibimation", NO. He did it most likely because *ITS HIS JOB* Luni is a game dev, and his most popular game (to my knowledge) is Gacha life. So ofc hes going to continue it. And Chibimation was Beowulf's idea for literally years. its just been remade, and remade over the years. Gacha designer to Chibimation or even more in the past. And just because some people might prefer chibimation doesnt mean they arent loyal to the OG gacha. (also for what you said at the end, Gacha life was never meant for children children, the game was meant for people a little older, 13 - 16 lets say. but since the game appealed to children more he had to change it.) But i agreee with the default hands. #DEFAULTHANDS4LIFE
