1 year later still working great. Haven't had to service anything related too this mod. 102c temp max idle in traffic in sun. Driving varies temp generally 80-100c. Cleaned up the wiring fit it into the white box. Have an easy access switch to manually turn fan on in the car now.
Thanks for your help. Got the same fan kit. Mishimoto temperature sensor adapter and a 190.F Setrab temperature sensor from Improved Racing. Mounted the fan with L brackets and bolts to the shroud with enough clearance to not rub against the waterpump. wiring worked great and was easy to conceal. Able to conceal circuit breaker and relay inside fusebox. Fan works great and cools the vehicle down very quickly and quietly. some wires have to be extended. highly recommend anyway with a bmw with a clutch fan to do this. installed on my 00’ 528i e39 m52tu
@@patrickmondragon2994 it varies because the oem themo stat opens at 92c fan on for about 3 minutes if i am stationary. these cars prefer too be moving so it never gets hot if driving. only in traffic

@@KKE1978 what you need is a coolant temperature sensor switch that is the same thread size as the adapter. Easy cheap part but hard too find. That's why I just ordered the fan kit. Instead of making one from different parts
@@aaronhuynh3360 yes i ordered the same fan kit but the adapter i could not get from your link. Do you have any info on the adapter. I guess i bought the wrong adapter. Now am not sure which adapter to get.

I was able to upgrade fan size to 18 inch.
Did it fit perfectly like in this video with 16 inch ?
@@daniyk5746 yes
when modifying the stock fan shroud too hold the fan be sure too test fit where the fan needs too sit
@@daniyk5746 yes could probably go 18 inches later upgraded too 17 in same process
Thanks bro!
12:40 is a fast run down of the it
Where did you get the circuit breaker you mentioned in the video?
Part of the fan kit
Aaron Huynh Thank you. Also what temperature does your fan turn on and what temperature does it kick off?

How did you connect the temp switch to the adapter. The adapter hole is too small. The link you provided is no longer available
Hello are you referring to the one in the middle of the lower radiator hose
Yes. I got the adapter but the sensor that came with the fan wont fit the adapter
