Thanks for your reaction! I am a new subscriber to your channel now looking forward to more reactions to Voice Play and solo Geoff. Mykal (pronounced like "Michael") Kilgore was one of the founding members of a quartet they started when they were still in high school called '4theLove' that would sing together in the restroom at school, on street corners in front of businesses and other random places. They added Scott Porter as their beatboxer and changed the name of their group to '4-2-Five' and enjoyed local success in the Orlando Florida area. Scott Porter left the group to pursue an acting career in Hollywood and Mykal Kilgore left the group to pursue a career on Broadway (both have been very successful and have pages on Wikipedia). They continued performing local venues with different temporary fill in singers but regrouped adding Eli Jacobson and Tony Wakim and changed the name of their group to 'Voice Play' around 2012 before they went on the 'Sing Off'. "Be Prepared" was dominated with Geoff's solo as Scar so you will definitely want to check out Mykal Kilgore as the lead in Voice Play's "Stand By Me"- his voice will blow you away! J. None left the group to join the Navy but still comes back frequently when he is on military leave as a featured guest but we think of him as a part time member of Voice Play. When he is not available other frequently featured guest that they have known and worked with since high school, college, or working at the theme parks in Orlando Florida. We enjoy the other featured guests and think of them as part of Voice Play's extended family.
In the description, it always tells you who did the makeup, costumes, etc. Geoff's wife was the zombie on the floor. It was her idea to have Layne kick her across the stage, so they had to go to a Halloween store to buy a doll that could be made up to look like Kathy did. Great reaction! Mykal also did Stand By Me with them, it is wonderful.....
It was great to see a double - Thanks! Both of these are terrific. Check out the Christmas offerings - VoicePlay did Zat U Santa Claus? an oldie from 1953 and Louis Armstrong now being done by VP w/ J None. Then check out Geoff's Carol of the Bells like you've never heard it before.
J None shows up every few months, I expect when he has time off from his Navy singers gig. I especially like watching for Cesar's antics. He's so fun. VP is such a talented team.
What a nice post Christmas treat! Both of these covers rocked and they did it in different ways. Voiceplay is so talented and capable of cover a huge variety of music. Stunning. Thank you and Happy New Year!
Such a fun pair of videos! They really do go all out - definitely the theater kids of a cappella!
Mykal Kilgore also did “Stand By Me” with them where you can hear a lot more of him.

I like to think of J None as on hiatus from the group.
