OG came across one of your older videos about making sure before a date that the kitchen, bathroom, etc, is clean because you never know when it might go well. Well, it did. I'm glad I did a light touch-up
One essential I would add is a good relationship with a skilled tailor. Whether we are talking casually or elegantly, having your clothing tailored is a boss move.
Well done my brother, as always. I agree with all of them. I will add one more. Never underestimate the power of a good undershirt. They are just as vital as any piece of clothing. While there are varying degrees and colors of undershirts, they are all vital to any shirt. They keep your perspiration in and save your shirts from usage and spotting. And they can be part of your outfit as well. Again, thank you for your knowledge. Make it a good one!
Great video Jeff You mentioned owning a suit and white dress shirt. If you have a suit, dress shirt and dress shoes, you've got to have neckties and Pocket squares.
Try and steer clear of the Huge Emblem Polo shirts you're not a walking billboard OG's ....leave that to the younger fellas... Thanks for the continuous Tips...
Thanks OG for another great video and information. This keeps me on point with my fragrance, formal, and semi-casual looks. Great reminders of timeless classics too! Minimal sneakers are the ish!
My guy, when will we get some vids on the hat game? Fedoras, triblys, and straw hats! That's a staple for every OG. The audidence could use a primer on how to step up their hat accessory game and show a few look books to pull it off effortlessly.
You are so on point with this advice my brother. Especially when it come to the shoes, watch and suit. Youngins definitely need to be schooled about this.
So I just turned 30 something and I gotta be honest, my appreciation for your content has sky rocketed. I don’t know if I’m just entering a new stage of life or what but I used to see your videos recommended, I’d watch a little bit of it and be like “man who tf cares about this shit this much? Wear what you want and shut up.” Now I’m finding myself more into some of the things you talk about and I’ve been binging your content 😂 I humbly apologize for ever trying to write you off as vain or performative, you’re doing a great thing for young men who are maturing through life at the proper rate(and even for those who’ll get there later). Great work OG
Long time subscriber; OG I wish I could show you how much watching your channel has helped me become that “FLY GUY” in most of my cliques over the years. Ps I’m looking for a watch watch now 😂 I’m bout done with my Apple Watch recommendations appreciated!
I agree. I really believe every man should seriously consider a well fitter suit in solid navy or charcoal.; this is a great first suit. The navy blazer is often the hardest working garment in any man's wardrobe.
Once again he delivers but falls short of real advice for us men who proudly live below the Mason Dixon line. We live in a sub tropical environment and a culturally different place that all of this doesn't go well. I wish you would spend some time here and see. We're not as scared of Western wear and will lean more on summer staples year round. PleSe do a series on that.
I like to compliment The Dark Denim Photo to The far right. The foot wear caught my attention. I just bought me some Cohan Leather Sneakers that same color & a White pair. Will you tell me the Brand name of those Boots? Salute!
Agree with most of these, but I'd add a caveat. These are good universal rules to follow for all men, but hey Style O.G. please do a video that dives into these topics a little further but also addresses how its important to dress appropriately for your individual age/height/weight. There are some looks that go better on different body types. The styles that a slender 27 year old can rock, may not necessarily look the same on a bigger guy in his mid 40's. Or some styles look cool on shorter dudes while a taller guy needs to wear it slightly differently. I'm 6-1, 245lbs and in my late 40's so I had to learn which styles fit me, not the mannequins in the stores.
Major Key Alert. How about this tip also, don't wear multiple different branded clothing, Logos everywhere. One more tip; grooming, cut that damn nose hair!
I don't believe in oxfords. Why? Because I heard from a very reputable style channel that oxfords were originally casual shoes and for the lower class. Furthermore, oxfords, just like women's heels, are very impractical and incapable. In case of an emergency, a man would be restricted/limited by oxfords. The whole purpose of women's heels 👠 is to make her appear helpless and in need of help, that's what makes heels so attractive on women. Heels activate our protector/savior instinct.
Hey O.G. Question: I have to go to a wedding in Las Vegas in 2 weeks. What do you recommend I wear? I know it is going to be hot. Also, the wedding is going to be at country club and not a church.
@@TheStyleOG Perfect, thank you! Last questions for the loafers, socks or no socks and for suit fit, slim or classic fit? I am thinking classic fit. Note: I am 62 yrs old which is why I am questioning the no socks and 6-1 and 240lbs which, I stated classic fit.
I recently started clean shaving, vs keeping facial hair. (I'm bald.) My friend told me I should have at least some hair on my head. My other friends say I look like an oversized 13-year-old. Should I grow the hair back or just walk around looking like the bait boy on "To catch a Predator."
@@charlesyoung9980 Just my opinion do what makes you feel comfortable try not to worry about what your friends say your opinion matters First and your feelings of how you look matter Do You!!
As a man who shaved his head I recall reading years ago in GQ (when they were a good magazine) one should have a beard or goatee to help balance the look. The thing is proper care, grooming of them. Personally the shorter the beard or goatee the cleaner the look. Long bushy unkept facial hair looks nasty as it is. But with shaved head???? Looks like one is really trying too hard to take peoples attention away from the shaved head.
“So I guess going to the supermarket wearing a pair of Nike basketball shorts with some Nike shoes & a plain white t-shirt makes me less of a man. What have I’ve been doing with my life?” Seeing that I’m married with 2 kids & a good job.” 😊
no mine is medical. I have that . and does not fit... its dress sneakers for me and those look stupid. It's ok I don't need a suit wore that all my life.

i do from time to time
The callout about "valuing time" that a nice watch communicates can't be underemphasized, even a modest watch. Guess what a fake watch communicates?
Growing up, we referred to chinos as khakis. The color didn't matter--they were khakis.

sorry dress shoes are terrible for your feet. that's my problem can't do it dress shoes got no arch support. after 5 min I'm in pain
Kevin, go to Walmart or any grocery store and look into buying some arch supports for your feet. The right ones will take pressure off your arches.
Your experience is yours, however, my opposite experience does not cancel yours. I second getting some arch supports and trying again.
