Flight numbers along with the disc selection is a great touch!
🤌🤌
Thanks for the amazing coverage! And posting so quick!
This is really great coverage! Thanks for putting it out for us all.
The All-Hair Card:
James Conrad, Chris Clemons, Alden Harris, Gregg Barsby
Original 🙄
Nice to see a course that has par 5s
I love the 4 par 5's on this course. Makes for great separation.
Alden is used to playing those wooded Georgia courses. This is right up his alley.
Amazing coverage, I wish DGN would do shot by shot for every tournament. Having the discs is also incredible.
On the commentary, absolutely love Ian. Nathan, are you sad? Please try to keep it up beat disc golf is fun!
Two times in a row, Queen gives Ian a stat about hole 1 and Ian responded with "Really" in a way where he genuinely sounds curious if it's true or not. It's weird...
I feel you. He does that on purpose actually. You have to respect Ian cause he plays an unaware character to help educate viewers and give more shine to his co commentator. “Can he get up and down from there?” Truth is Ian knows everything - he’s been in this scene for over 13 years. He takes this humble approach to his commentary to make it a better viewing experience.
@@gsinghacg Ah... another aware of the craft. The subtleness. The grace.
@@gsinghacg Thats a terrible business model. You should have two commentators that know disc golf like the back of their hand, firing out knowledge left and right. This is not a social event you have viewers who have paid to watch the coverage. This type of audience wants knowledge, wants to understand what is happening at all times and why. If only one person can evaluate and explain those things, you’re not getting the full viewers experience. Ian was great back in the day now he seems so scripted, his commentary has taken a back seat. We have DG experts all over now, we want to hear them not Ian.
My least favorite thing is how he makes a noise when someone makes a bad shot. Like what is that hahaha
@@blakewhiteheadDG fair. That’s one way of pairing commentators but it’s a hard job with everyone talking over each other then. It’s doable but not everyone can make it work. As someone who does commentary myself - it’s a challenging job but “on” for that long.
Ian just learned a certain way that I can see doesn’t give you the value you’re looking for and that’s ok.
The roles of color and play by play commentator is usually an industry standard across all media tho.
This course looks like so much fun
Fire Ian fire Ian fire Ian
Dream card right here, I love all these player's games
How I love this course.
Feels like Nathan’s voice is vibrating
vocal fry. its a speech impediment.
My home course in Millington, MI hole 3 is almost identical to this hole 3. It’s scary how the tee shot looks exactly the same. The only difference is the drop off behind the basket
Love the commentary, as always! Is it just me or is the video a bit grainy? Could just be my crap internet, but it seems like other video is better quality.
Any chance the commentary could be louder than the music? I'm having trouble hearing Ian whisper into the microphone 🤦♂️
Love the coverage! Thanks so much.
Could you possibly highlight the names of people up on deck as they throw? For folks like me that are seeing new names of people we don’t know, it would be helpful.
Love all the other info such as disc and flight rating.
This card is so good.
I wish 2's basket was always in the gold position, it's so majestic! Someone petition Houck to make this change, it's not the same rolling up to this course & having 2 be down the hill, I always feel cheated
No sound on this one
When DGPT puts up this style coverage, it is actually the best of all the channels
Gotta have different people on commentary to be the best…
@@Trotskers This is the most balanced commentary. Jomez is okay, but they are a little too gabby. Gatekeeper media is unwatchable with the new guy.
Jomez is just too goated. The production, the music, the goofy commentary (which can be serious as well), the layout. It's just more welcoming and enjoyable. Still, just my opinion.
Does anyone know the disc Anthony Barela threw forehand @30:30 ? please and thankyou
Firebird I believe
Thanks for saying especially correctly, Nathan! 😂😂😂
31:15 call that foot fault! Especially when it benefited his angle that much.
Outside circle 1 and releases the disc before his foot touches the ground. There is no foot fault there.
@@mikewalton2231 foot didn’t stay behind the disc, foot fault
@@lucasmuller8074 it's called a jump putt for a reason. As long as you release the disc before your body makes contact with the ground in front of the lie, then it's good. Correct me if I'm wrong. It's only if you are in the circle that you have to maintain balance behind your lie after releasing the disc.
@@Mr.Pants45 you must have contact with your foot behind the lie when you release the disc, a jump putt refers to releasing the disc as you jump to generate power. You have to have contact as you release the putt from outside c1 which Connor does not
Is AB not sponsored? Nothing on his shirt and they never display his Disc Selection like they do everyone else.
AB is sponsored by Innova for I think a decade now, and often players don't supply a disc list to the production team who is covering their card. He commonly putts and throws the beaded Aviars and Whale, throws Rocs, Roc3s and Gators, Teebirds, Teebird3, Thunderbirds and Firebirds, and Destroyers.
Out of curiosity, how did they decide who went on the lead card between Chris and Jakub?
Usually it goes be seniority on the PDGA number
16:08.. I’ll take whatever Nathan’s smoking
Seems like the video is broken or something. B9 player fine but this keeps failing.
Same for me, but works when I watch through chromecast. But then it had bad quality.
Now it seems to be working 👍
Love the opening theme. It be sounding like some Marvel/Hunger Games type beat
Ian is horrible. Bad product for a great network. More money could be made. Who’s next?
I think just the opposite, Nathan is a better disc golfer than commentator, and Ian is better commentator than disc golfer.
NQ is a guest commentator for DGN, not their everyday guy. NQ does a great job of breaking down the holes and providing insight into what a player may be thinking pre shot and how they may cope with each situation. I see you like names being mentioned 100 times a broadcast, disc selections, and reactions to shots over constructive commentary…
@@blakewhiteheadDG Agreed. I think I can remember who's throwing the shot. Disc speed is rarely worth mentioning and distracting as a graphic. Although, I do love the disc selection. I just wish it was more consistent.
I don't think this is one of those courses I would ever want to try. It looks like it needs a few more years to become a finished/polished course.
Can you elaborate a lil? I think the course is beautiful but I wouldn't wanna play it just due to difficulty. Curious as to what would make it more polished ya know?
One of the best courses out there imo. To each their own i guess
