So what I've learned about North Korea from this video is that the roads are exceptionally wide and no one lives there.
Well, Pyongyang main roads are actually very wide and car traffic is low, in the end this not that misleading.

London Racer was a localized version of what's known here in the Netherlands as A2 Racer, developed by the local developer Davilex. It was a very succesful racing game series for a few years because all the tracks looked like places people knew and recognized (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Schiphol, etc). The franchise was so succesful initially that British, French, German and even American versions were soon developed, though I don't think they were quite as succesful. After a few years people had had enough of a new mediocre game coming out every year or so and the succes died off, despite late attempts at creating other games that weren't about street racing through your own town (e.g. Knight Rider and Miami Vice). Davilex returned to creating office software like they had done before the late 90s. I'm not even sure they still exist.
I think the M25 was in London Racer because of similarities to A2 Racer. The A2 is an infamous motorway in the Netherlands because it's always very busy and I think speed cameras are everywhere. Many of the Dutch would love to have a go at going way over the speed limit there, which is why it was included in most of the early games and the first one even revolved around that specific road (hence the name of the franchise). I think they just picked the most infamous motorway in the country for all the other versions.
We need "Driving with courage" as a stream feature to accompany "Never give up!".

I used to un-ironically play a lot of flash racing games. There was a Repsol-sponsored F1 game that had very broken graphics, but it featured real world tracks. It included tracks that actually hosted F1 in the 90s, like Jerez and Estoril, but it also featured:

The Bugatti Circuit at Le Mans
The Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia
That's just from what I can remember. I can't find the game, I can't remember what it's called, and I uninstalled Flash maybe a week ago. Otherwise I would go back and confirm the track list, because there are a few more tracks that I think were in the game, but don't remember vividly. All the talk surrounding new and returning venues fans would like to see on the F1 schedule reminded me of this game.

London Racer was made by a company called Davilex, which was a Dutch studio. As a Dutchie myself I have played most of their racing games and even though I now know they were poor racing games even for the time, they got me into racing games. The games I played were A2 Racer, A2 Racer 2, A2 racer 3 and "Vakantie racer" (Holiday racer in Dutch). The last one was more of a comedic take on their own product. Racing steriotype cars/vans/campers from the Netherlands to a camping in Monaco, first one to get there "wins" the honor of getting a place on the camping. I think most of these games can be downloaded for free nowadays
Yes, maybe next time you want to review "Alarm für Cobra: Crash Time" Series, made by Synetic (there are about 6 installations). Clue: It also works with steering wheel but idk how to set it up. Some legal copies are still available on Steam (Crash Time 2 and 3).

Those clips from M25 racer bring me back to my younger self. And it's called M25 racer because it's an Dutch game called A2 racer made by Davilex. And this was the third one where they go international to England and Germany. It's called A2 racer because in the first version you race your car down the A2 motorway in the Netherlands. And to keep the same kind of name they picked the M25. I think the German version is just called autobahn racer or something. You can still "find" it but it runs best on a win98 computer and maybe XP
The funny thing is, they really do drive like that in North Korea, and there's the same number of cars on the road.
