Hi! Thanks for the video! I have one drag and drop interaction on a slide and this one has a single image to drag to the target. I want it to auto-submit, so I have that selected, but when previewing it submits just by clicking it, not even giving the learner a chance to drag. Thoughts or insight on this? Thanks!
Hi Kayla, first make sure there are no other actions associated with the object. Select the object, then check its actions in the property pane. Next make sure that the object is associated with a drag target that is elsewhere on the slide. If it's already on top of its own drag target, then it's going to submit as soon as the user clicks. Finally, if nothing seems to fix it, try duplicating the slide (copy paste the whole slide as a new slide). Sometimes Captivate will glitch but duplicating the slide will sort those glitches out and things will start working.
1- Can Version 12 create VR scenarios using panoramic 360 webpage for online field trips? Or is it better to go to 2019 Version? 2- Is it possible to have 2versions of Captivate on the same PC;e. 9 & 19? How?
Sounds like the newest version of Captivate does not have virtual reality. It sounds like you can have both Captivate 2019 and the newest version of Captivate on the same computer, you'd just have to download and install both. Reddit has an old conversation about this that might be useful: www.reddit.com/r/Captivate/comments/14nl7ak/new_captivate_overview/
What is the purpose of creating type/group of draggable items? I mean BlueFamily, RedFamily and GreenFamily. Interaction works in the same way without this option.
I'm just an idiot. I recorded this as a demo for somebody and wasn't very good at using the wizard. But you would use the type/group if you had a bunch of drag items that would go to the same drop, for instance.
Thank you for walking through this processes with enough detail without being overwhelming.
