Bela Lugosi is a great actor deserved to have been given more credit than he got he had such a presence in every film he did I love all his films and I’m glad that he’s still recognised in films dvds and other stuff basically just as well known today as he was when he was alive just wish he could of seen it.
Just watched this for the first time tonight and its a strange and very underrated horror movie, that looks just as good in color as the leading actress Molly Lamont does...
Big Bela Lugosi fan. He deserved better.
Great Movie
He was one of the greatess actor ever!
Have you not seen plan 9 from outer space
if bela Lugosi was in it then it became a classic
What a great actor and a handsome man. Hollywood sucks.
One of the greatess Lugosi movie! The whole movie awesome. He was the only rly talented actor from my country... Timless masterpierce. And I think this and im very not this generation. I'm born in '92..
Original color -- and the only color film with Bela Lugosi!
PizzaFlix, "Natural Color," per the title page! I really did like the pencil drawing(?) for the production company. Thanks again.
Lugosi was sinister and spectacular... gleaming with suspicion under the moonlight.
Timothy Maynard love him so much
Love movies with Lugosi and Zucco.
The four supporting characters make this movie great. The maid, cop, reporter and his girlfriend makes this movie worth watching. It would have been great to see the four of them reunite for other mystery movies. They would have made a great comedy relief team in other who-dunnits like this one.
Angela, it may be a 2-year old comment, but you hit the nails right on their heads! The bodyguard and ditzes for sure; imo not so much the reporter. Too mean-mouthed!
I love Bela in this....
Bela Lugosi is the greatest actor of all time. Possibly the only good thing about this movie.
I second that. He's the best actor in this movie. It's a treat to watch just because Mr.Lugosi is in it.
Was this the only George Zucco-Bela Lugosi film? Ouch! It was farcical later, but between the heavenly(?) choir, Laura's voiceovers and the morgue attendant chat, I almost gave up. Loved the scatterbrain maid & phone operator. They rescued a movie heading straight toward pretension. The bodyguard was fun, too! TY for posting. 📽 🎥
This movie is historically important as Bela Lugosi's only color film.
That's why Criterion should handle it
Beetles In The Bog.
I have a picture of him in my house.
My house is very old indeed.
I saw this in the theater with my parents when I was about 5 or 6 and it scared the poo-poo out of me, I remember having nightmares about it. The ending is still kind of a shocker. Great old movie.
Bela in his ONLY color film-GREAT sauce @PizzaFlix
I have almost every Lugosi movie and Zucco too and this isn't as bad as some say. It's a good fun thriller and Lugosi and Zucco play the parts to death! worth a peak.
great channel! lots of lugosi movies!
Chicka boom Chicka boom boom boom
Hollywood gave Bela the short end of the stick after this movie and he died in 1956. He never seemed to be acting.😬😬😬 “Plan 9” wasn’t his fault, it was Ed Wood and I think it killed him. They had to finish it with a bad,bad stand-in.
Fault? Bela is great, Hollywood is glam, Ed Wood was brilliant, and 'Plan 9' is the finest in psychotronic art. As for death, it happens to the best of us (& the rest of us...). See (hear) Bauhaus for more information.
Great characters in colour😉
I have been beyond please with the awesome finds on ytube. The movie access is better than anyvid shop i know . tjank you tube!!🎉✌out
Thanks for watching! May the Sauce be with you. PizzaFLIX
Wish Criterion would handle this only Lugosi color film
Amo a bela❤️🛸
This was cute. In color (very good). It had comedy and featured Bela at his best. The biggest mystery was how did the dead woman have flashbacks after the fact? Enjoyed it though.(ls)
Has this movie been colorized? or was the original shot in color ?
To comment on the technical side of this film... "Natural Color" was clearly a 2 color process - much less expensive to use than 3 color Technicolor. The process is really quite good. But notice that yellow and green are not reproduced at all well. Two color processes were no longer used when Kodachrome became available for feature film production in the early 1950's.
And it doesn’t hold up as well over time as Technicolor.
isn't it a shame that Lugosi's only color film is this one; and poor george zucoo was taking ANY work he could find at this point...
Don Chappell total shame. He is my favourite horror actor (first film I watched was Tod Browning's "Dracula" (1931))
+Dragonscale DJ Time Is Tight
Thanks
What... did I just watch...???
Bela's eyes looked spookier in color. They glowed eerily, like a cat's eyes. I waited to be "Scared to Death" watching this old, classic Lugosi flick, but I kinda laughed, instead, with all its silly, unique, and odd characters. It should have been called "Died Laughing," instead. 👁️👁️
J. F. I., yep! A much better title. 📽 🎥✌
yes, this was shot in color...
was this meant ro be a comedic drama? Good warning about the psychological warfare bans in WW I and II
show the electrochemical brain = psychiatry and drugs
the electromagnetic mind = psychology and hypnotism
4 Cornered Room.
Nice movie 🤣😻
Not a bad little B thriller.
Movies are all mixed up?
Know silly plot but look at it as form of escape for short while away from troubled world we are living in IE wars covid etc
I don't think it honors him at bit to keep putting down the movie, this one and his complete body of work, the genre, his co-stars, with your insulting excuses and apologies for these movies, accolades that you people assume only YOU provide for him, giving him credibility with YOUR ability to root out the greatness of a man Hollywood let go to waste. Forget Lugosi's own love of this genre, his rollicking sense of humor and so much else you've kicked aside. Just a terrible shame you people weren't around back then to keep FATE walking straight.
Zucco VS Lugosi. Creep off of the top B movie creeps!

Was nice to see a Lugosi film that was actually filmed in color. Not very frightful and a kind of convoluted story with the characters almost screaming, "I'm the one!" Ending kind of left me flat, but it was a rather enjoyable film. Thanks @PizzaFlix-ya still saucin'.
Hmm.
Awful plot.
Where Was You At.
fur is murder
You want to stay in here yes .You want to go outside no !!!!!!!Lol bahahahaha he's honest
It’s a shame his only colour picture was this piece of crap
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:30 is that maid Lucille Ball ?
Nope - that's Gladys Blake!
Lol this has to be one of the most incompetently made films I've ever seen, it's hilarious.
Hay Man Cut That Jive
Peter Callahan Really? Try Plan 9 From Outer Space by Edward D. Wood Jr. Or perhaps his film Jail Bait. Now there are two horribly made films which have become classics of schlock filmmaking. Plan 9 was voted worst film ever. Enjoy!
@@tomfisher9089
This is worse than both of those.
More like bored to death plus bela lagosi is BARLEY in this
I'm surprised George Zucco would star in such a horribly written movie with such bad actors like Lugosi who was so limited in his acting ability with poor comedic scripting. A real waste of time, film, and money. SAD!
To say lugosi had limited acting ability shows how ignorant you are...
