  • This short film made by the British Radio Electronic Manufacturers Association was a regular two or even three times a day film shown on BBC-2 between 1967 and 1971.
It was narrated by Michael Aspel and was intended to show television engineers and dealers how a new colour tv set should be set up.
It covered the technical side of a colour receiver, e.g. convergence and phosphor dots, as well as the viewers all important hidden controls!!

Fifty years of colour TV in the UK. Installing colour TV sets these days is far easier than it was when Michael Aspel narrated this classic piece of animation.

Did BBC1 and ITV show this film as well as BBC2 if so the BBC1/ITV screenings would have been at least from Late Summer/early Autumn 1969 these early ITV screenings being in the ITV regions that were starting on the 15th November London, Southern, ATV, Granada and Yorkshire and then gradually the other regions when their colour services started
