As a former student of Mrs. Leisher, I miss her dearly so. And I cried that day, as well. My friends even commented on my walking into 1st period with tear tracks on my face. My friend actually sent me this, and I'm happy she did. Mrs. Leisher, we all love you! Enjoy Hamilton!

I love this lady! I don't know who she is, but her story makes me feel SO good that I am going to be a teacher! And she also has reminded me that my age has nothing to do with my ability. I'm hoping to be student teaching next fall, and she has re-ignited the fire and passion I have to finish my degree!

Amazing person as well as a teacher, she took the ceremony to honor her and used it to teach her students a life lesson, wonderful teacher.
She is a great speaker. I wish my son a teacher like her. She is right. I had to work right out of school. College was never even used in my home. I finally got some financial aide and started taking some classes. It boosted my confidence. Having parents to support you also helps a whole lot. Very nice video. Thank you for sharing.

A true teacher is one who touches the heart of every student who has been fortune enough to be their student; evidently Mrs. Leisher is loved beyond measure and has forever changed the lives of countless youngsters. Bless her and I sincerely hope that her retirement is as amazing as she is.

Just a few days ago Jan Leisher passed away from cancer. She was an amazing teacher and always made my middle school days at school worthwhile. We will miss you Mrs. Leisher.

In tears and I know no one here,I just stumbled into this video and I just want to say bless these students and teachers what a lovely gesture.
I clicked on this because I saw Hamilton, I stayed because of her message
I’m a teacher, like millions of others around the world. I don’t know any teacher that does their job for the sole purpose of receiving appreciation like this. We do it to watch the children we teach make a positive impact on those around them, their families, their friends, their schools, their churches(if they choose to attend), their governments, their countries and the world. The countless hours we spend worrying about students, staying back helping students, and colleagues. So many of my students have found me on Facebook, they are now adults, with careers and families of their own. Many teachers, including me -often have no idea the long term effect that we have on those children. Even the effects on their family members. Hopefully, it’s nearly always a positive one. More than once, I got into trouble (not school policy🙄)for bringing extra lunches to school for those children that came to school without food. Another time, I had a parent of a newborn ask me to bring their daughter (who was in my grade 5/6 grade, drive her home, bc their newborn was unwell. Again -against school policy. I understand why it’s against school policy-but sometimes people run into problems in every day life that policies made decades before don’t take into account. Anyways, all that aside- this gorgeous teacher Mrs Fleisher has clearly put her heart and soul into working with the students/parents/colleagues and wider community. She deserves every accolade she received, and then some. Happy Retirement Mrs Fleisher. Enjoy Hamilton. It was playing in Sydney, Australia recently -and by all accounts, it was absolutely fantastic. You’ll love every second. Onward and Upward. Merry Christmas to the world.

Amelie Mileva Sometimes students are real dickheads to their teachers. My German teacher was fired last year and had to go to a different school because she just yelled at her students. If you want, you can come to my school and try disciplining the twits who go there.
This makes me so happy as I am a teacher now to help my students grow and be successful in life. I wish we could do this for one of my favorite teachers. My favorite teacher would never let give up and glad she didn’t. It’s all about our teachers
