As a online business manager for influencers I agree! Write down what you need help with first and what you can delegate to get time back. Start creating SOPs too so when you do hire you have procedures in place to pass onto the hire to get the job done to your standard.
I’ve recently decided to close my online boutique and move solely into Digital Contenr Creator. I want to hire a brand manager. I was quoted between $500-$2000/mo. Does that sound fairly accurate?
This was very helpful. I am a new virtual human resources manager for creatives (RUclipsrs, Content Creators, Influencers). Definitely agree in hiring for the role instead of outsourcing each task, job descriptions are critical. I would recommend creating an employee handbook/contractors manual as well. Would love to collaborate on this as a project.
I can’t wait to sign up to creator college. I lost my mom on 1/1/23 and I’m still overcoming this pain, but I can’t wait to put into practice everything you shared. You bring so much peace. After watching all of your videos I feel peace to move. Keep sharing🙏❤️
Thank you for sharing, I agree with a lot of this! I think the only thing I have a different perspective on is what a virtual assistant can do for you because it depends what the virtual assistant is specialized in. I agree they are not necessary there to create strategy for your business. For example I am a virtual assistant who edits podcasts, video editing, social media management, and specializes in project management, but not every virtual assistant has these skills. I agree that you should always hire for a position and not a task.
This is great info! Sometimes it's scary to hire your first team member but it truly allows me to focus on things that only I can do in my business like creating content!
I swear all your videos are helpful and I want you to keep doing videos about how to creat videos and the gears that hep me a lot You really help me a lot good job
As a social media manager, YES TO EVERYTHING! Please don't put your social media on your assistant or another team member - especially if you expect real results.
I’m an massage therapist for 13 years in the field and a personal trainer for 20 years very culturally spiritual. I’m a Qigong practitioner. I work out of a Chiropractor office in Atlanta for the past 12 years very established I feel like the next level is becoming a wellness influencer I have the personality but not a clue about the technical side of being an influencer! Build a team is whats kinda happening within the office! I have to start with a very small budget I really want to get this going! What do you think? How do I start!
I enjoy the straightforwardness of this video. However, as a virtual assistant (who assists with SMM and video editing), I feel as if this video kinda placed VAs in a box. My counter advice would be to inquire about the individual's experience and skillset of who you're looking to hire. The title "Virtual Assistant" is so vague (and for me an umbrella term) that you simply can't limit what someone is capable of from the title alone. But in the same breath I will say not everyone needs a VA as their first hire. Take the time to assess your business needs and hire correctly and confidently!
My only concern with hiring is giving access to my social platforms. How will they log-in into RUclips or my social handles to upload content? Is there a way to set up a separate login?
Our clients add us in as a youtube manager so we can post content and reply to comments. LastPass is also an option because you can hide your password.
I agree with adding your team member as a RUclips Manager if their role involves your RUclips channel. LastPass is also a great option as well for other social platforms. If they're just scheduling content for you, you can connect your accounts to the scheduling platform without giving them access to your direct Instagram login, for example. I hope this was helpful, but if you want more help - we go over this in-depth in my Creator to CEO program. Here's the link to learn more: www.thecreatortoceo.com/signup
hey I AM PLANNIG TO HIRE FREELANCERS TO CREATE MY OWN FACELESS CHANNELS. BUT I AM WORRIED IF THEY STEAL ALL THE WORK AT THE END OF THE PROCESS. HOW CAN I PROTECT MY VIDEOS TO BE STOLEN BY FREELANCERS THAT I HIRE BEFORE EVEN BEING RELEASED BY MY CHANNEL?
It varies on the position, but you can share your job opportunity on social media, your email list, LinkedIn, and more! Also, you can get referrals from other business owners in your industry, but still be sure to have an interview with them and a proper onboarding process.
You don't "have" to hire anyone. But it saves you time, and it lets you be able to focus on other things while the employee is doing the task you hired them for. And it also gives you the assistance you might need when you do get to the task you delegate to the employee. Like, for example, if you're on basic level editing and the employee is advance level editing. They can walk you through what you're trying to do. Or they can do the more difficult stuff after you put the initial clips together.
A guy offered himself as an editor for my content and he was starting working professionally. But I was very disappointed. The only video he edited for free to show me his skills was awful and not the way I would do it, also just talking about what I need as an editor was so draining. He also disappeared after telling me his gf didn't want him to work with me. I don't feel like sharing my journey with anyone, no matter how much time it takes. Ill just upload less videos. If you have a team they must be people you really know and feel comfortable with but in the end they are just employers.
Hiring is definitely a process. There are people out there that will treat your business/brand as their own. The right people will come around soon, but if you have people around you now that you are comfortable with, maybe try training them to do the role that you need help with until then. Either way, it's important for you to do what's best for you at each step of your journey. Thank you for watching and commenting. xx
