Hi guys, I had this nocturne uploaded yesterday, so it was briefly on my channel until I realized that the running score that I had downloaded from IMSLP wasn't a good match due to a different edition than the one I was using in my performance, so I had to take it down. This video is a new upload with a better matching edition (running score) to the performance. I hate that there are so many discrepancies between different editions of the same piece, so from now on I'm gonna pay more attention to the selection of the accompanying score before uploads.
Thank you very much dear Inaki! 🌹 Yes, I picked up this piece a few days ago. I did my best to perform it to an acceptable standard. I hope I accomplished that!😊
Thank you very much dear Dino! Yes, it was rather challenging - it took me a few days to have it ready for recording. Thank you for listening! Happy Saturday! 🌹
Oh that beautiful nocturne! Beautiful played 🤗. The middel part has great chord progressions and the main theme is typical beautiful Chopin. I recorded this one also 10 years ago or so, and I think I actually used the sheet a little. 🙃
Thank you very much dear Cornelia! 🙏🌹I have recorded only this one nocturne and a couple of waltzes and mazurkas. This is the 2nd upload of the same Nocturne that I uploaded 2 days ago. This is because after the first upload I realized that the running score (the accompanying edition downloaded from IMSLP) was widely different from the one I used in my performance. So, I took it down and did a new upload with a more matching edition, though not 100%. I see a lot of discrepancies between different editions and so from now on I have to be more careful about what edition I choose as a running score. The problem is I don't always like 100% of an edition and so pick and choose what I like from different editions for a piece. 😂😂 For this nocturne, Urtext was more in line with how I chose to play. I wish there was only one edition that we could all use because sometimes the differences aren't just minor like ornaments or dynamics, but also major ones like notes and rhythms, which makes it hard to choose.

So beautiful, dear Shiva!! You’re doing so well on Chopin‘s Nocturnes. How many have you recorded until now?
