Listen again. It's actually the opposite. The Justices have thrown questions at Mpofu which he failed to answer . One of those questions was "WHAT, IF AT ALL ANYTHING, MUST THEN REMAIN OF CIVIL CONTEMPT OF COURT, IF J ZUMA DID NOT COMMIT IT"
It beats me, how Dali Mpofu, a senior council doesn't understand that if you deliberately choose not to make your representation in court you are giving any court the right to release a verdict in absentia. It happens a lot in courts

You only listened to part of the submissions. It's senior counsel not "council". From that I can see you are a lay person. The CC must favour an interpretation that vindicates the rights in the Bill of Rights including to protect even a litigant who defied it. One thing they did was bend the law here and there to nail Zuma. Wrong move. They must rescind the judgment and all of them must resign. That whole judgnement is a mess.
@@sithembisophewa9380 Judges have never opposed nor have they agreed with the submission of the right to appeal. The jury is still out on that one. The fact of the matter is all judges agrees he is guilty of contempt, the application for rescission is on the sentence.
I have just read civil contempt is conduct that is not itself a crime but is punishable by the court in order to ensure that it’s orders are observed. It is the act of deliberate failing to obey or respect the authority of a court of law or legislative body.🤔
