      Good luck.. This job aint bad at all.. But the 2 things that really bother me are: Ur start time is always different. One day you'll start at 7am, the next day you'll start at 5.45am.. And you never know what time you will be off. One day it's 3pm, the next day it's 5.30pm. This shit drives me crazy.
      Otherwise, it's a pretty good job once u get the hang of it

      Curb machines man SMH... It's usually a pretty easy gig but it's torture with a clutch! You drive a manual?

    • @vaekkriinhart4347
      @vaekkriinhart4347 Год назад

      @@grabbinggears109I disagree. I got a manual. Once your leg gets used to using a clutch all day, ur leg gets stronger and adapts. It's not as bad as people say.

    Hey there, I used to drive mixers until my injuries stopped me. My question is this, how prevalent are automatic transmissions these days? If I didn't have to shift anymore, I could come back to work.

    • @vaekkriinhart4347
      @vaekkriinhart4347 Год назад +1

      Where I work in the St Louis area, automatic transmissions are becoming more prevalent. All the new trucks are automatics. But if ur starting out on the job, you'll def get a manual. The new trucks with automatics go to the guys with seniority. But I have seen one exception

    • @vaekkriinhart4347
      @vaekkriinhart4347 Год назад +1

      lmao. Most days I don't even get a scheduled break to eat. U eat when u can.. There's usually a time during the day when u can eat between loads or whenever. Some days I get to have a 30 min lunch break around 11am or 12pm, but it's not common
      ps. And days that u don't get a break, u just have to make one urself after a load or whenever. No one will blame u for taking 10 minutes to eat after doing a load. Like I said, u gotta just eat whenever u can. Fuck em if they can't understand u taking 10 or 15 min to eat
