Have a heart. Not everyone can afford Integrity,Mizi,or even JHD. They are also 12" dolls that cost more than most people pay for rent 🙄. If I get a doll for that much money, I'm never gonna open it until I get to old age or pass it as an heirloom.
I do understand the price point, but the quality of this doll was a mess. The pixilation on the face was the worse I've seen. The dress was okay but did look cheap and what was the rationale for the blue shoes? Peaches and Cream Barbie is iconic and if they were going to do a tribute, it should have been worthy of the original. This was not. I do enjoy your reviews and fashion police format! I agree with Alysa and Veronique for the first time!
I love Barbies and try not to be too negative about mattel but these so called tributes are tragic. peaches and cream barbie is one of my faves and to call this an homage to that beautiful dress is a joke. if they were going to do a tribute they could have done better, this all just looks so cheap. They couldn't even put a hem on the dress. come on mattel.
The barbies of my day had better quality clothing. I can understand that most toy companies are trying to save money 💰. But cutting corners and charging more for articulations is not helping. Barbie's clothing should not be cheaply made for the price everyone is paying for. When you do get another Barbie, take the time to resew the outfit she/he is wearing. Enhance it a little, make it less tacky.
Veronique is spot on. This is no tribute; it is a mockery of Mattel used to be. The face sculpt is nice and her skin tone is lovely but the stupid pixelation and stiff limbs…Sorry, it’s just so cheap.

I had Peaches and Cream when I was a kid. She's way too much money now. I would settle for just her dress. I can always put it on Looks 16.

She would look better if they used the Simone face sculpt. But they only use that mold for collector dolls now.
