@@z304legend Use the Plutonium client for WaW, BO1, BO2. The issue with older CoDs is the online component called Demonware, Plutonium strips that therefore they are safe to play.

I realize that the plutonium staff kinda suck but the anti-cheat makes it automatically better than nothingness on treyarc's part. i also feel like it's weird to defend the remasters when it and the OG versions would be considered old today, it's been 7 years.
Sad truth from the BO4 pastebin leak, ZC2 was NEVER planned to begin with, as the Aether remakes were always the plan to end Aether instead of creating new maps. Chaos only existed because they were the new map ideas. Apparently, BO4’s Year 2 for Zombies would’ve been the Victis Remakes and the Great War map being the final map instead of Tag.

Probably one of the chaos maps would be something in Alexandria. And the 2 aether maps would be a reimagined buried (with tranzit-related stuff in it), meant to obtain the vril vessel; and a reimagined origins, which is the great war. Activision cancelled season 2, so treyarch had to merge all story features in tag der toten, and scrap the great war ending.
At this point I would even accept BO4 dlc. I would like to see Blundell's originally intended vision for the dlc maps after Ancient Evil which never came to fruition due to budget cuts after Activision decided the season pass didn’t sell well enough to warrant the initial budget.

A new zombie mode that actually panders to zombie veterans instead of newbies who don’t know anything about the first 5 Treyarch zombie modes would be nice.

@@AlamAcosta as someone who has played custom zombies on BO3, I can tell you it isn’t as much of a game changer as people say it is. It also gets stale really quick after a couple weeks, because most maps simply don’t hold a candle to good Treyarch maps. There are some really great custom maps but most are barebones experiences.
@ey1615 I don't personally agree look at maps like leviathan which are so good they could be official. If your getting tired of bo3 you should probably just not play the game for a bit. Because in all honesty that's probably the issue your having as what your asking for which is a new zombies game like the older ones would most likely be just bo3 again with new maps. Or play bo4 which is kinda underrated it's not a good cod zombies game but it is good if you separate it from the other titles.
I really feel like Zombies Chronicles 2 would’ve breathed life into Cold War considering we only got 4 maps in the game’s life cycle. Getting another 6-8 maps, even if just remakes/remasters of old maps, would’ve been incredible on a new and unique engine
It's such a polarising question in the Zombies community at the moment. I can see the side where people are eager for ZC2 based on the success of the first DLC, but I do think the time for it to be released is now long gone. It would have been perfect around BO4, but even then the community would most likely complain regarding the lack of innovation in that games title, as we already had all Aether maps being reimagined versions of previous Black Ops maps. Regardless, I can still see the appeal for it, but I think it'd be too little too late. Great video my man.

We are getting a zombies chronicle 2, with all the missing maps being included. It’s just not official, but rather through mods by awesome and committed community devs. Bo3 was the best zombies game overall and the last true zombies game with most of the OG dev team still with treyarch. I will die on this hill.
To be completely honest, I think those days in which you reminisced so dearly in your video are long gone. It’s looking like bo6 is just Cold War 2 for zombies, and I feel like Treyarch has doubled down on transforming zombies into an experience that will no longer resemble the old days of black ops 1,2 and 3. I can honestly see from a marketing standpoint how it can be smart of them, to not compete with the modders this time and split the beloved maps between black ops 3 and 6 but simply Blackops 6-ifying Mapt like Dead of the Night, Ancient Evil, Mauer, Die Maschine.... For black ops 3 to be the ultimate Hub for Zombies Chronicles 1&2 and Black ops 6 (Heavily dependent on its success first). Being the ultimate Hub for Black ops 4, 5 and 6. Also Black ops 6 having Mod tools eventually would be a very smart move of them...
Absolutely no reason to remaster/remake fucking CW maps lmao If you want to play those maps so bad you literally can in CW with the same graphics and same gameplay as in BO6.
They knew this lesson from the beginning as well, black ops 1 waited until the final DLC before re-releasing the waw maps. They wanted to show off whats new before showing respect to the past, and it worked there too. I want ZC2, but not until we've had hopefully a respectable amount of innovation and well made maps in BO6
I'm not very good at zombies, so I kind of like zombies chronicles because there are gobblegums. That's also why I'm hyped for Black Ops 6, the return of gobblegums. I'm hoping that Zombies Chronicles 2 is in bo6 so I can actually get to a decent round like 30 or 40.
BO6 will already be a cakewalk even without gobblegums. It's doubling down on the very easy difficulty of Cold War as people who don't usually play zombies instantly get to 50+ on Liberty Balls.
Great video. I like that more people are saying this. I've been playing zombies since waw and I do not want yet more remakes and remasters. I want brand new experiences that give the games new identities rather than this obsession with nostalgia.
I think new zombies should focus on very basic easy Zombie map that focus on survival for new/casual players and simple challenging maps for veteran for the launch maps just like how they handle BO1 era and start making deep ee maps towards the end. No maps should take +40mims to PaP and requires to do 70% of EE to get wonder weapon
U might be in luck, from the looks of it Terminus in BO6 should be the super complex and innovative experience and liberty falls will be more akin to something like the Giant from BO3

I agree with a lot of what you said, but you lost me at the end. COD zombies is dead. It's not getting revived. Black Ops 6 will be horrible, just as Vanguard, Cold War, Black Ops 4, World War II, etc. were. The golden era of COD in general (MW, WaW, MW2, BO1, MW3, BO2) and even Ghosts and AW and then BO3 and finally MW 2019... is long gone.
Uhhh overall statistics would beg to differ. Cold War Zombies was the most played zombies mode of all time statistically and although it never shared the same passion as past games, saying the game is dead is not correct

Bo4 wouldnt work with a chronicles dlc because the game is so different. Same with cold war a zombies chronicles 2 could work if it was done on a cod with older mechanics which we will never have. Honestly they should of abandoned the main story and go all in on the chaos story. They should of refined bo4 changing how the perks work without completely removing jugg and revive just make the perk limit 6 and make it were you can only customize 4 of the perks.
They should take the route of reincorporating more of the older maps into the newer parts I.e. die machine with nacht. Imagine in this new city map liberty falls you walk into a movie theater only to realize its kino der toten. Can do the same with der riese and as the maps get bigger we can continue to incorporate more of the larger maps. Imagine moon as a sub base to a larger more expansive moon map. The ideas are endless when we reincorporate not just remaster or reimagine.
Ofc, seeing like the town from Tranzit in a map such as Liberty Falls would be such a great addition. I rlly did enjoy how die maschine slightly incorporated nacht into its map but not making it a centerpiece of the map

I agree. I do not think ZC 2 would ever save the community by itself. I think BO6 has all the potential to come out swinging and provide something really cool. I did really dislike how dismissive you were of Cold War tho. If you play BO3 and then CW, those two games do not play the same at all. It had a bunch of new ideas, just not the proper time to work on them 100%. If Treyarch was that confident in saying that Outbreak was getting just as many as Round Based, then they were doing something right. It just simply wasn't popular on RUclips or the smaller community.
I have not finished watching the video but I just have to say, hard disagree. I do agree that Zombies needs innovation and new maps and everything. But I think inherently with the remaster, we would get a bunch of new mechanics and gameplay features added onto old maps that would change them and innovate just enough for most people to really want to go back to them. I also think you're overlooking the fact that there might be people who have not played Black Ops Three or the original zombies chronicles. I think no matter how much I like them, at this point it's simply too expensive for me to go back and buy every old game and d l c and probably is the same for lots of other people as well. Im not here to argue, but it seems to me like you're stuck in the past homie. While I can agree that the warzone mechanics in zombies aren't the best, BO3 zombies was not perfect in any way either (although it was probably closest). Plus, the whole idea that if zc2 came to BO3 it would revive the zombies community is completely delusional, this is a 8 almost 9 year old game and it would be a horrible financial decision on Treyarch's end to even consider that.

@@Drrpythe base game is still the same my guy. All they did was add a few extra features like gobblegums and weapon kits. All the games I listed tried changing the core gamemode and its staple features. Outbreak was a completely different gamemode with a different perk system, point system, pap system, etc… the different between the 2 is, once again, bo3 wasn’t trying to fix what wasn’t broken. I’m not saying it’s the only way for cod to be good again I’m just saying it’s the easiest and we’ve seen it first hand. I think it’s ignorant to say it would die within a month. As long as they keep supporting the game people will play it. Hell, if they were still supporting it now people would still be playing it. There is still a community for custom zombies on pc.
Saying BO3 is innovative, but CW isn't, is actually so crazy. I think that BO3 is overall a better, more complete, more interesting game, but it really didn't do anything to fundamentally change the gameplay of Zombies. The fact you had to list weapons kits as a major innovation is very telling of this. Meanwhile, CW adds mantling, perk upgrades, significant in-match progression changes, and even smaller things like equipment and WANDS that behave very differently to previous entries, all of which really change your decision-making throughout a match. I love BO3, but it's very much Treyarch "playing the hits"--there are esentially no risks taken, even down to Chronicles itself
To even say that cold war was "dead" during it's life cycle is insane. The most players ever in zombies, just not on RUclips, because people didn't need a tutorial to turn on power.
Cold War did have innovation I will definitely give you that, but being around the community in 2021-2022, the harsh truth is Treyarch pretty much gave up on this games true potential after putting so many hours into Outbreak, there were insane gaps between content releases and it got boring for the overall community
First let me say in tired of sony throwing money around to have the content first and many games for their console only, shows hella greed and my 2nd opinion is CW was great, unlike bo3 ut gave a lot of new things the game was fun as heck but the story was lame, bo3 was fun as well but didn't really try anything new but the gum system so think before you speak. I've been a player of zombies since day 1 of the same day waw came out, I've played with many of the og so called RUclips zombie pros even training a few of them, have done many matches, taught many people tricks to get father that isn't cheating and also showed many glitches all before these things were known by many but I'm to anti social to do this stuff on videos as it seems and using a.i art as my photo is jusy being lazy, I got off track but my point stands that CW was fun I enjoyed it. Did you know around the time bo3 came out we got a lot more fakes, cheaters, jerks, wanna be pros and rage quitters in zombies lol. 😅
The older maps are there, still to this day to play. Even then. They’re better left not remade since if they DO get remade their charm, personality and well. Specialness is just. Gone.

Here's a fun fact the jet gun was found in the files in cold war but it was never added so there was probably a zombie chronicles 2 but was scrapped

It’s looking like bo6 is just Cold War 2 for zombies, and I feel like Treyarch has doubled down on transforming zombies into an experience that will no longer resemble the old days of black ops 1,2 and 3. I can honestly see from a marketing standpoint how it can be smart of them, to not compete with the modders this time and split the beloved maps between black ops 3 and 6 but simply Blackops 6-ifying Mapt like Dead of the Night, Ancient Evil, Mauer, Die Maschine.... For black ops 3 to be the ultimate Hub for Zombies Chronicles 1&2 and Black ops 6 (Heavily dependent on its success first). Being the ultimate Hub for Black ops 4, 5 and 6. Also Black ops 6 having Mod tools eventually would be a very smart move of them...

If you want to play those maps so bad you literally can in CW with the same graphics and same gameplay as in BO6.
They knew this lesson from the beginning as well, black ops 1 waited until the final DLC before re-releasing the waw maps. They wanted to show off whats new before showing respect to the past, and it worked there too. I want ZC2, but not until we've had hopefully a respectable amount of innovation and well made maps in BO6

BO6 will already be a cakewalk even without gobblegums. It's doubling down on the very easy difficulty of Cold War as people who don't usually play zombies instantly get to 50+ on Liberty Balls.

I think new zombies should focus on very basic easy Zombie map that focus on survival for new/casual players and simple challenging maps for veteran for the launch maps just like how they handle BO1 era and start making deep ee maps towards the end. No maps should take +40mims to PaP and requires to do 70% of EE to get wonder weapon
U might be in luck, from the looks of it Terminus in BO6 should be the super complex and innovative experience and liberty falls will be more akin to something like the Giant from BO3
I’d buy BO4 DLC with an updated Blackout map, more remastered multiplayer maps and remade Victus zombies maps. Going back to Blackops 2 kinda sucks cause all the hackers and dated graphics. All the new cod since BO4 has been dogshit
I agree with a lot of what you said, but you lost me at the end. COD zombies is dead. It's not getting revived. Black Ops 6 will be horrible, just as Vanguard, Cold War, Black Ops 4, World War II, etc. were. The golden era of COD in general (MW, WaW, MW2, BO1, MW3, BO2) and even Ghosts and AW and then BO3 and finally MW 2019... is long gone.
Uhhh overall statistics would beg to differ. Cold War Zombies was the most played zombies mode of all time statistically and although it never shared the same passion as past games, saying the game is dead is not correct

I don't think comparing number of players tells anything about the quality of the game, however. Worthless mobile games have millions of players. Anyone with common sense could still see they're horrible games.

Yes because CW completely catered to casuals and newcomers who were never into the previous zombies modes. It literally just replaced its old audience with a new one.
Also it also helps that the numbers automatically grow with every CoD because the number of people playing games in general keeps growing with every year. Look at how many people are playing CW zombies now compared to BO3 and come back to me again. CW died quickly.

Bo4 wouldnt work with a chronicles dlc because the game is so different. Same with cold war a zombies chronicles 2 could work if it was done on a cod with older mechanics which we will never have. Honestly they should of abandoned the main story and go all in on the chaos story. They should of refined bo4 changing how the perks work without completely removing jugg and revive just make the perk limit 6 and make it were you can only customize 4 of the perks.

They should take the route of reincorporating more of the older maps into the newer parts I.e. die machine with nacht. Imagine in this new city map liberty falls you walk into a movie theater only to realize its kino der toten. Can do the same with der riese and as the maps get bigger we can continue to incorporate more of the larger maps. Imagine moon as a sub base to a larger more expansive moon map. The ideas are endless when we reincorporate not just remaster or reimagine.
Ofc, seeing like the town from Tranzit in a map such as Liberty Falls would be such a great addition. I rlly did enjoy how die maschine slightly incorporated nacht into its map but not making it a centerpiece of the map

I did really dislike how dismissive you were of Cold War tho. If you play BO3 and then CW, those two games do not play the same at all. It had a bunch of new ideas, just not the proper time to work on them 100%. If Treyarch was that confident in saying that Outbreak was getting just as many as Round Based, then they were doing something right. It just simply wasn't popular on RUclips or the smaller community.

I have not finished watching the video but I just have to say, hard disagree. I do agree that Zombies needs innovation and new maps and everything. But I think inherently with the remaster, we would get a bunch of new mechanics and gameplay features added onto old maps that would change them and innovate just enough for most people to really want to go back to them. I also think you're overlooking the fact that there might be people who have not played Black Ops Three or the original zombies chronicles. I think no matter how much I like them, at this point it's simply too expensive for me to go back and buy every old game and d l c and probably is the same for lots of other people as well. A new chronicles with bo4 maps added would be amazing. I would say cold war also but i think that game is new enough for people to simply go back and buy

I guarantee if they released chronicles 2 on bo3 right now it would completely revive the zombies community. People have been hungry for a good zombies experience since bo3 (maybe Cold War if you somehow enjoyed that shit show). Nobody wants this warzone-ified zombies mode we keep getting like outbreak, mwz, and terminus. Like wtf is treyarch smoking? MWZ was so bad it was discontinued and they just refuse to admit that larger maps are bad for the gamemode. There shouldn’t be so much empty space in a map that vehicles have to be added. In bo3 every single room had something of importance in it. Im not here to argue, but it seems to me like you're stuck in the past homie. While I can agree that the warzone mechanics in zombies aren't the best, BO3 zombies was not perfect in any way either (although it was probably closest). Plus, the whole idea that if zc2 came to BO3 it would revive the zombies community is completely delusional, this is a 8 almost 9 year old game and it would be a horrible financial decision on Treyarch's end to even consider that.

@@Drrpythe base game is still the same my guy. All they did was add a few extra features like gobblegums and weapon kits. All the games I listed tried changing the core gamemode and its staple features. Outbreak was a completely different gamemode with a different perk system, point system, pap system, etc… the different between the 2 is, once again, bo3 wasn’t trying to fix what wasn’t broken. I’m not saying it’s the only way for cod to be good again I’m just saying it’s the easiest and we’ve seen it first hand. I think it’s ignorant to say it would die within a month. As long as they keep supporting the game people will play it. Hell, if they were still supporting it now people would still be playing it. There is still a community for custom zombies on pc.

Saying BO3 is innovative, but CW isn't, is actually so crazy. I think that BO3 is overall a better, more complete, more interesting game, but it really didn't do anything to fundamentally change the gameplay of Zombies. The fact you had to list weapons kits as a major innovation is very telling of this. Meanwhile, CW adds mantling, perk upgrades, significant in-match progression changes, and even smaller things like equipment and WANDS that behave very differently to previous entries, all of which really change your decision-making throughout a match. I love BO3, but it's very much Treyarch "playing the hits"--there are esentially no risks taken, even down to Chronicles itself
To even say that cold war was "dead" during it's life cycle is insane. The most players ever in zombies, just not on RUclips, because people didn't need a tutorial to turn on power.

Cold War did have innovation I will definitely give you that, but being around the community in 2021-2022, the harsh truth is Treyarch pretty much gave up on this games true potential after putting so many hours into Outbreak, there were insane gaps between content releases and it got boring for the overall community

First let me say in tired of sony throwing money around to have the content first and many games for their console only, shows hella greed and my 2nd opinion is CW was great, unlike bo3 ut gave a lot of new things the game was fun as heck but the story was lame, bo3 was fun as well but didn't really try anything new but the gum system so think before you speak.
I've been a player of zombies since day 1 of the same day waw came out, I've played with many of the og so called RUclips zombie pros even training a few of them, have done many matches, taught many people tricks to get father that isn't cheating and also showed many glitches all before these things were known by many but I'm to anti social to do this stuff on videos as it seems and using a.i art as my photo is jusy being lazy, I got off track but my point stands that CW was fun I enjoyed it.
Did you know around the time bo3 came out we got a lot more fakes, cheaters, jerks, wanna be pros and rage quitters in zombies lol. 😅
