I googled my old home address on the google out of curiousity and well its been a while since I last visit it (we moved out quite some time ago), what I didn't expect to see is there, would be my mom in the picture watering her flowers. Its been over 10 years since she passed away yet seeing her in an online platform make me feel like its all a dream, that she still alive and right here with me. I had fever and kept seeing her in my dream for a few weeks after that. I miss her terribly, I wish she's doing well up there.
Edit: Thank you so much everyone for all the love and support, I'm sorry it takes some time for me to respond back as this is not my main account. Also, to clarify the situation, I searched my home address quite some time ago, few years back perhaps. I saw this short on my fyp and thought "Ah, I used to search it back then too". Right after I saw this short I did try to search it again and unfortunately the photos has been updated. I'm sorry if my post put anyone in sad feeling, its not my intention so. I just wanted to tell that time is fleeting, and to always create memories with your loved ones and to not live in regret because life has so much for you :)

    Edited after a year...
My older brother died 6 months ago. Back when I commented here, he was told that he'd only last for 6 months. I remember we were just having a good time and he's laughing in front of me, if only I could stop the time when he was still alive, I would. But yea nothing lasts forever

This makes me kinda sad when you think about it. That plot of land was someones house and it had someones memory of it growing up as a child. Someone called it home and worked hard to keep it just for it to vanish like that. Someone had to plan and build that, put effort, money and time into it. Something that we call home, our safe space and somewhere where we can have full privacy, somewhere away from others, something that has value to us just ripped to peices without a second thought about it just to be an empty bit of land, unused by anyone.

Remember to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. Sit them down and be serious about your feelings. My daddy was on Google maps for years. They don’t change it often in more rural communities. He died of cancer in 2017 and I think it was taken in 2013. They finally updated it. It looks different than the house I grew up in.
Luckily I saved the picture of him. He didn’t even see the car. He was just taking care of the yard, as he loved to do.
RIP Daddy. I also want you to know the new owners are doing a really shitty job with the yard so if you have some free time, go haunt them.

Luckily the people that bought the house have upgraded it, painted it, nice landscaping, new floors (I peaked in while trick or treating one Halloween). My grandmother has been progressively losing her memories over the last 7 years since my uncle passed away. She started deteriorating quickly both physically and mentally after the funeral. She's wheelchair bound now. I was on google maps one day "walking" down the street view for funsies. I started at my house and as I get to her house I see her outside in her robe taking my uncles dog out to pee. It made me burst into tears immediately seeing her so full of life. Her hair full and warm brown, the little yappy dog Cody who had passed years before my uncle did, just to see her on her feet again even though I know it was a 10 year old image. It felt like I was walking up to the scene for real. I'm gonna miss her so much when she's gone and cherish the gift the little google street car didn't even know they were giving me. Thanks google car 🥹💞

Whoever bought it, maybe a bank, demolished the house, cut it up into four different pieces, and now different people live in house built on the land’s edges with most of it being empty space.

Hi friend, commenting because you mentioned you don’t have anyone to talk to about these feelings and it sounds like you might be bottling them up. It may feel like you need to be the strong one now, or that you can’t show sorrow or find anyone who can relate, but I hope you’re able to find someone to talk to about this you feel comfortable with because it’s really not healthy to bottle these feelings up. Grief is real and you can’t be expected to be over the loss of a loved one immediately. It’s a process and it can hit you at weird times even years later. Finding a grief counselor to talk to can also really help. Wishing you all the best.

@@WistfulWalrus Thank you a lot I know it's not healthy but we are struggling with a lot of things this days, I have a lot in my head with my family having some problems so I just don't want my mom to feel even worse and I'm waiting for the water to be clear again so I can talk about all this things, I really hope that moment comes soon, sadly life sometimes isn't easy but I know it's going to be better.
Thanks for your words, it makes my head a little bit lighter ❤️.

In March of 2011,the Detroit state as a whole fell below the 800K population to 713,777, which is a 25% plummet from what it was in the beginning of the 2000s ( which note was also under the minimum 750k population tax base) so either one the family left the state after seeing they're population fall below 750k, or they lost they're house due to the high tax base and we're left homeless after words, but these pictures are forever on the internet and I'm glad to see everyone sharing they're memories of such photos in the comment section ❤️

For some reasons it reminded me of some great friends which i made in a mmorpg game that i used to play as a kid but unfortunately don’t have any of their socials or contacts. The daily grind, quests, dungeons, boss fight..god i miss them now that i am an adult. I hope they are happy and doing well with their lives.

I looked up my grandma Lorraines old home and I saw me my sister and her sitting on the front porch she's been gone for 13 years but seeing that left dumbfounded but I'm grateful to google maps because I had previously lost all the belongings she had to a house fire a few years ago. So seeing me my sister and her when we were still young made me tear up. I really miss her life just hasn't been the same since. I'd give anything to hug her once more. R.I.P Grammy your grandchildren are alive and well one day we will meet again so just hold on awhile longer.

Okay I did some research and it turns out in 2010 there was a robbery of some sort and all the furniture was thrown out so the robbers could take what’s valuable. The top floor was destroyed by a fire and the the friends decided not to go back to the house so they backed what they had left and moved to a different city. It didn’t say which city but it said and I quote “These robbers might have found the house due to the three people in the photo”
