Easily one of the most unexpected surprises of 2024, The Wild Robot has it all and easily considers it my favorite movie of the year!!! With Dreamworks animation is no longer making their movies in house anymore, I hope they are able to create more great movies which focus more on the substance than on the style. Those international visual effect shops have to be unionized since they don't get enough respect or attention.
I've watched a bunch of these reviews. There are now hundreds of them on the 'tube. Everyone raves. Every one goes through every single element and drenches it with superlatives. Not one has mentioned the sound design. Do they think the sound was recorded on set or something? I'll let you in on a little something... this movie would not be nearly as good as it is without the sound design giving these characters and this world its sonic signature. It's working away at you on a subliminal level and it's so good that you didn't even notice.

as an artist and a fan of animation this movie WAS SOOO GOOD peak DreamWorks the animation everything about it was awesome give all the awards to it
