- Today we are embarking on an 800 km journey across Spain: el Camino de Santiago del Norte. We are doing El Camino del Norte in April and May 2023.

Consider yourselves *very* lucky. I did the mountain route during a torrential downpour, the trail was a river and we were walking underwater.

the top of your pack has load lifters - I can see his pack is hanging off his shoulders which is why they are hurting - use the straps provided and use them to pull your pack closer to your shoulders.
We read this in the morning and corrected the backpack it already feels much better, thank you so much 🤗😊

What were your pack weights on your first day?
On the first day it was around 7-8 kg with some minimum amounts of food.
Hey great video guys. I’m starting Del Norte in Irun on Wednesday. Can you tell me how crowded it is atm? Are the Albergues full? Do you meet many other perigrinos? Anyway, I subbed, keep up the great work 😊
Wonderful!! You’ll love it. It’s not overcrowded, but there are definitely plenty of pilgrims around. We see about 20-30 pilgrims total along the trail each day. And we haven’t experienced any albergue being full yet but they’re always nearly full. But we also typically stay in the private albergues, so I’m not sure how the public ones are. And of course, we’ve met so many interesting people along the way! 🥰🥰 thanks so much! Buen camino

We are enjoying your Camino hike. What are the temperatures? Where is home for you two?
Wonderful, thanks so much for being here! ☺️ in April it was surprisingly warm, around 19 degrees c and sunny, but in May its actually been rainy, cloudy, and colder at about 15 degrees on average! Ellie is from Chicago, USA and Senći is from Bosnia! 😊🇺🇸🇧🇦

why didnt you start in irun?
We were in Bilbao before the Camino began and the buses to Irun on our starting day were sold out 😝 simple as that haha. We do wish we started in Irun though because we’ve heard the views are just stunning that day!

We have sunscreen, we don't have hats tho, didn't expect this kind of temperatures 😭
