I actually really love yara. You are right about it not smelling like strawberries, but I didn't buy it for the strawberry notes so If you're not expecting those notes its a pretty smell to me. smells great for my skin chemistry.

I remember when Demeter came out in the 90s! I worked in cosmetics at Nordstrom and we were all excited about these new fragrances like ‘clean laundry’ and ‘rain’ and others that smelled like ordinary life stuff! Not many bought them but people liked to smell them for the wow factor. 😊
Girl! The same thing happened to me with ansaam gold; I bought it and i was so excited , but to me it smelled like the glade I use for my bathroom.
I personally love Oriana so I also loved the gold. It's such a perfect dupe and really captured the difference between Oriana and LDBS so it makes sense you wouldnt love it as someone who prefers LDBS. I hope they release a dupe of LDBS for you one day! This one was super accurate so I'm sure that one would also be

I want to try Ansaam Gold. Everyone talks about the sweetness of Love Don’t be Shy, but I get the florals more, then sweetness secondary. The orange blossom & neroli notes are so sharp, and it ruins it for me. Since Ansaam Gold doesn’t have orange blossom & neroli in it. I’m hoping that it would be a better fit for me.

Im wearing yara this summer and everyone seems to like it, even my 14 yo daughter & 30 yo sister love it. Im layering with other perfume like valentino Donna or good girl by CH.

Try demeter sugar cookie! It's a cozy bakery freshly baked vanilla iced sugar cookie scent. It's not for summer but colder weather it's so good!

I have Demeter Orange Cream Pop. It smells like Sunkist orange soda but has zero staying power on skin so I use it as a bathroom spray 😂

Yara to me smells sickly sweet in a gag-inducing way. Lattafa often lies when describing their fragrances, who knows why. It seems what it really is duping is Pepe Jeans for Her. I don't remember all the notes, but there is almond milk, marshmallow and tangerine - makes sense doesn't it? By now people have voted this Pepe Jeans fragrance to the first place on Fragrantica's "reminds me of" list, but it hasn't always been there.
Demeter is not a good fragrance house. That’s something I would buy my 7 yr old too play in

I tried Yara at a store in Colombia while I was looking for a gift for a friend. Never seen any reviews or TikToks about it, and you're totally right, its a tropical fragrance. I bought it because that's what she likes. Certainly Yara has nothing of strawberry cream in it.
I just subscribed because my nickname is Queen Naima too ❤ name twinsies (minus the spelling) ...so that dulce isn't decent to layer with to add vanilla to other fragrances???

First and for most. Perfume is a personal thing so whatever works for them might not work for you. But don't act as if your not properly functioning nose has smellt ALL Arabian perfumes.
Got what you paid for, stop being cheep and spend a little bit more if you want to get good quality fragrances.
