I jumped back to 14:53 at least four times, that was so funny. The eagerness to calculate and set up something beautiful and the dry disappointment when opponent allowed mate in one, delicious.
Hi Eric, recently got back into chess and I'm learning a lot from your videos. I have to say I love how calm and down to earth you are mate, it makes your videos so easy to watch. You're clearly a very talented strategist who has spent the time developing your game and memorizing key plays and I often find myself saying "oh that was clever!" Anyway just felt compelled to thank you for your awesome content and say hi from Australia :) Keep on keeping on
Eric you really are one of my favourite RUclipsrs of this moment. Love your clear explanations and when you tell about non-chess related stuff and how humble you are. Keep up the good work! Thanks!
Can't wait to watch this video after work! I subscribed to your channel a couple of days ago and I managed to binge-watch most of your videos since. You probably get this all the time, but you have a really soothing voice.

In Pennsylvania you can turn left on red as long as you're on a one-way street, and you're turning left onto a one-way street, AND there isn't a "no turn on red" sign. It's rare because most of these intersections have a "no turn on red" sign, but they do exist. I think there might be some in Philadelphia.
Perhaps you could play slower games more often? 5 min is fine, but I actually gave up on watching bullet, because it's too fast and I have to put so much effort into understanding what's going on, that there's little time to have fun. Also I enjoy beautiful checkmates a lot more than dirty-flagging, even though the latter is funny at times. ;)
Opponent: Oh my god, this guy is absolutely crushing me!! I feel like I can't breathe...I think I'm getting a panic at...DAMN, he took my rook!! Crap!! Eric: Oh, check it, there's a duck in that other duck...ducks quack funny. *slurp*
FIrstly China also has some absolutely fantastic green teas. 1)Scarlet Robe 2)Dragon Well 3)Gunpowder green 4)Iron goddess. For a Japanese tea you might like I would recommend Genmaicha. It’s a Japanese green tea with toasted rice and popcorn. It’s delicious. Hojicha is a smoked Japanese black tea. A Chinese equivalent might be Lapsang Souchong. Very different but both types are excellent. You should also check out some white teas (very similar to green tea but with a technical difference to do with the age at which the leaves are harvested, which leads to a subtle flavour) and Oolongs (Half way between a black tea and a green tea). Quite apart from the tea content, I also appreciate the chess! Thanks for the videos. You have inspired me over the last few months to take the game back up again and gradually get stronger.
