OpenStack explained in simple words. Thanks. I understand that how one can devise IT automation and agility using Openstack instead of moving services to cloud. So this is a median solution that organizations can avail to reap benefits of On-Prem cloud, but still avoid the disadvantages of Public or Private cloud from popular cloud vendors
Great video, For most of the people wondering about how he writes on clear board, certainly he is right handed and the clear board is in front of him but he records and mirror/flip to right edit the video later and uploads them.
That was sooo clear! The guy was really articulate! Anyway, for any of you asking to clear the board. These boards are thrown out right after the lectures because they are one-time-use only, that's why he couldn't clear the board...
If you notice the way he is writing with his left hand, you can tell the video has been flipped (or mirrored) that way he can write on the board facing his side (which would look mirrored from the camera side) but the flip it to make it look correct :) EDIT: Also look what arm he has his watch on....
Thanks for the explanation but at the end, was just for sale more VMware software (speaking about vendor locking). Maybe Intel and Google know some thing different, why they change their infrastructure to OpenStack?. Provider more and more are offering OpenStack Based Cloud Services.
Is it possible to add multiple servers and create as private cloud using openstack? So, in future if we are short of resources, then we can add 1 more server to the cloud and make resources available to present vm's that we had created.
There's at least 3 (circumstantial) clues that lead me to believe this video was flipped: 1. Presenter is left-handed - this could very well be the case, but 90% of the population is right-handed. 2. Wedding ring on the "right" hand. He could be a widower, but I doubt it. 3. Shirt buttons and holes are on the opposite side for a male.
Very useful and informative video. I have one question though, what about the platform team? In many production environment there is a platform team as well as an infrastructure team. For example an application (developer/owner) may need RabbitMQ, JMS resources, SOA services, etc. to integrate with other services and it has to be added on an already deployed platform.
*he never walks forward...the board is a clear one and its infront of him, due to inversion we see it as he is writing backwards but if u see his hand motion you will notice that he is not writing backwards.*
Need to rethink the governance part now. Security groups, quotas, users, projects, and role based access control are all out of box defaults in openstack.
How long did it take you to learn how to write backwards that fast? Not only right to left, but the letters have to be written backwards as well! Impressive.
Good explanation of OpenStack. Appreciated But why everyone is excited with video recording e.g clear board and how the video recorded? etc. While there is no magic behind it. Take one hd camcorder with tripod and some colorful markers. Start recording. Stay behind a big clear window glass and write what you want thats it.
I opened the video when I saw the crazy looking thumbnail. I was like OMG, an invisible guy with just face, and hands bcoz his black t shirt is camouflaging with the board.
Yup, you need to buy VMware software which is not opensource and costs money. I'm not trying to hide that at all. We contribute to the openstack community (sounds like you didn't know that) and have quite a few customers using openstack (successfully). I would argue that we are more dedicated to the success of openstack than some of the other large openstack consultant firms and distribution vendors who have recently bowed out. I wish the community would be less bias to specific vendors and look at them through neutral glasses - promoting the use of opensource software and the openstack community. that's what we're trying to do.

I want that clear board.
Isn't that just flipped glass (that's why all their instructors appear to be lefties).
@@pugmarx Yes. And they have all watches on right hand - which is left hand in fact :)
The best explanation so far ! Thanks !
What a clear, short, and detailed explanation. thanks.
unbelievable, why openstack simplified. thanks a lot
Very Nice session on OPEN STACK

Well explained, OpenStack in a nutshell. Thank you!!
Thanks for the clarification! Amazing board !
really clear and simple explanation about openstack. Thanks dude

Yup
how the video is recorded? it is amazing
guess the speaker writes on a piece of glass. And the camera shoots the video in flip mode.
I don't think you can just flip the image. I think he has learned to write backwards.
There's at least 3 (circumstantial) clues that lead me to believe this video was flipped:
1. Presenter is left-handed - this could very well be the case, but 90% of the population is right-handed.
2. Wedding ring on the "right" hand. He could be a widower, but I doubt it.
3. Shirt buttons and holes are on the opposite side for a male.
And the watch is on his Right hand which is not the normal case for most people !
That is Something called Lightboard : lightboard.info/
Great video. Thanks for the helpful tips. Good for a VMware customer to consider the benefits of VIO!

I'm I the only person freaked out by the fact that this guy is effortlessly writing BACKWARDS !!
haha, #meToo
nope, so am I.
I believe it's a camera filming him writing on a glass board, mirrored for effect.
mirrored video post filming, that is why he appears to be left handed
me too :)
clearly this board is awesome. Video is great!
great video, useful and informative!
Great explanation, great video
Hey,
can you provide me report about "Network virtualization for opencloud"? With the development report too. It would be very helpful.
*he never walks forward...the board is a clear one and its infront of him, due to inversion we see it as he is writing backwards but if u see his hand motion you will notice that he is not writing backwards.*

It's a mirror
WoOoooOOoow, Very Helpful Video.
Need to rethink the governance part now. Security groups, quotas, users, projects, and role based access control are all out of box defaults in openstack.
The board is called as "Lightboard Studio".
Amazing... The trainer wrote down everything flipped.. Is it... Or there is something else here?...
Nice Watch sir!
very nice
nice explanation... love the way you introduced subtle VMWare advertisement in your session
That was awesome. Thanks!
How long did it take you to learn how to write backwards that fast? Not only right to left, but the letters have to be written backwards as well! Impressive.
They do not write backwards. Due to lateral inversion, we feel he is able to write backwards.
lightboard.info/home/lighting.html
It's not backwards the camera is recording from a mirror.
Good explanation of OpenStack. Appreciated

Great Presentation!
Thank You!
you forgot the most important tool, Juju!
Thanks!
seems Christopher Nolan has designed this board.
Tony Stark.
Great!
It’s simple... don’t check arm, watch, writing style or left hand... check NIKE logo on his t-shirt and you will know...
because giving a developer access to provisioning servers is a good idea LMAO
Quota and security groups. Easily manageable
I opened the video when I saw the crazy looking thumbnail. I was like OMG, an invisible guy with just face, and hands bcoz his black t shirt is camouflaging with the board.
10 years old explanation
He is left handed...
if that were true he must be great at writing text backwards
way to sell vmware after flexing the openstack muscle

everytime he writes sth on the board i lost my mind.... wondering how he writes some quick backward... lol
lightboard.info/home/lighting.html
he doesn't it's being recorded on a mirror.
