What does the illusion look like in person? Is it 3D at all or does it just look like you're surrounded by screens?
Tyson Q No 3D. It’s pretty obvious that you’re surrounded by screens, but it’s executed well. Very responsive.

On February 27, 2018, after four incidents had occurred,[9][10] Disney added warning cards for riders before entering the ride. The cards were similar to those on Mission: Space and warned riders about fear of heights, motion sickness, and the seating restraints.[11] These cards were removed in late 2018 and have been replaced with a pre-recorded message which communicates similar information to guests. The message plays only in the queue room immediately before the ride experience.

The greatest part of this ride was just being able to be in the cockpit of the millennium falcon. I was watching the star wars trailer and I was like, oh yeah I rode that.

I rode this ride with 4 of my friends and my best friends mom. It was flicking great. There was a lot of yelling. Because there was no one but us 5 and we just yelled and screamed

When I got to galaxies edge. I LITERALLY LOST MY MIND.
My head was going all over the place trying to look at everything, I had been waiting all summer to come there and now I did.
I couldn’t believe it, I was like ‘ Mom I can’t get over this look at the mountain ‘ yes I actually said that 😂😂.
Then when I was in the queue I was looking everywhere. For some reason my mom and dad weren’t really interested, well my dad liked it more than my mom did.
My mom rolled her eyes and said ‘ come on it’s not THAT good ‘ then I said ‘ AR U KIDDING ME ‘ she said she liked pandora ten times better.
Don’t get me wrong I LOVE pandora it’s so good.
But I definitely like Galaxies edge better.
So yea that was me, I wanted to do everything but we didn’t really have the time 😂😂.
But I was happy I went and I’m going back and this time rise of the resistance will be open and I will be there longer so I’ll have a lot of days to do everything there.
And believe me when I go on ride of the resistance I will have a seizure.
Not from sadness from happiness 😂😂.

Did as left pilot solo at disneyland during the CM preview, got a pretty good score. The auto gunners got the second coaxium barrel, surprising how sometimes they just don't work at all!

There apparently was some sort of a mix up with the cards. It took a few minutes for the CMs to figure it out, but ended up giving up and putting me on a ship by myself. 🤣
As a Star Wars fab myself, I cant wait to see Galaxy's edge and check out the rides, shops and more!!!

I'm hoping someone can answer this question for me.
I'm going to Disney next month, and I really want to ride this, but I can't handle fast rides. How much does this ride actually physically move? Simulations I'm totally fine with- for example, I was totally fine on Avatar Flight of Passage, because the ride only moved like a foot in each direction.
But things like large drops, G-force, or actual physical acceleration make me panic.
Anyone have an answer? :) Thanks!!
You’re totally in luck! Avatar is way more aggressive in my opinion. You only wear a seatbelt for this attraction. The movements are minimal, but fun. You’d be completely fine riding this. 😁😁

I rode yesterday. All they give you is a lap belt and it only moves 5 feet in any direction.

It was 90min when I rode it opening day and yes, they sure did!

They aren’t bad at all. You’re just on a moving ride vehicle in front of a screen, so there’s no big movements. I think you need to try it!

Just went on this today. The FPS is low. And coming off of Star tours to this graphic wise does not compare . Felt like I was playing a big game, star tours felt like I was in the movies.

I agree, the ride feels to slow. Definitely not as exciting as I was expecting. My 7 year old says Star Tours is better.
Went there a few days ago for the first time and I was very disappointed. Also the video kept stuttering which broke the immersion.
