Thanks to this vid I got the rheduvia the first day I played ER and really enjoyed it. Managed to loot Eleonara's Poleblade a few days ago and have been using it since. Its Bloodblade dance art it seems to procc bleed very frequently due to how many hits are in the arts combo plus it does fire damage on top of the bleed. It might not do the most bleed dam but its been the most fun bleed weapon for me to wield so far.
Fires deadly sin buffs rob and eleneoras pole blade better than flame grandt me strength due to the old glitch w death blight. It isnt patched for blood loss or any other DOT. So if you hit fds and use those two you get higher dps and bleed. Only works on weapons that use blood loss w fire though
Beastman's blood cleaver wiith seppuku is my favorite build atm, 54 strength, 46 arcane, and lord of blood's exultation turns the thing into a monster in both pve and pvp
thank you for the update and doing the math. Been doing different builds and ive been itching to do a blood build but knew it got nerfed hard so i wasnt sure if RoB was still any good.
Yeah, before patch 1.07 (I think?), you could be like 10ft away from your enemy & Corpse Piler would literally make mincemeat of them but now you have to actually hit them with the blade but it still makes mincemeat of them lol. Reduvia/Swarm of Flies to proc bleed, Varre's white mask, plus Lord of Blood's Exultation. Then you can switch to something like RoB (or any other weapon with bleed build up tbf) & you've got yourself a seriously fun bleed build.
I used to use a bloodflame blade keen Nagakiba double slash bleed build cause I didn't want to use the broken RoB but I still found the Ash or War fun. Credit to RageGamingVideos for reviewing this build be they actually believed it to be far stronger than the current RoB and comparable to the the old RoB with the high damage and range from the weapon. Just think it deserves a spot on the list.
I'm not done with my first playthrough where I'm playing a hybrid dex sorcerer build because like, stars, the moon, sorcery, all of that together is a tried and tested amazing aesthetic and it's been really fun. My second playthrough, however, I'm absolutely gonna be playing a bleed build. The entire aesthetic of bleed builds with their red effects like with blood slash, reduvia and rivers of blood is so unique and cool imo. I've also read a theory about arcane representing will and the idea of bleed builds literally willing their opponents into bleeding is insane.
I was playing an arcane pj and started using bloody slash... it's incredible powerful, easier playthrough of all I've done (except when transient moonveil was able to stunt all enemys in one/two casts, which lasted not much). The drawback is that you have to be very carefull with your HP, but this is what mades this Ash of War balanced. And it's the only early game option to have an arcane build other than Reduvia. Then I got the Dragon Seal in the first tomb and as I managed to get the lightning spear, I have a very fun character to play with. Very viable from early game to the end. I don't know how it compares to Rivers of Blood, but this is a late game weapon so you can use this build until you defeat Okina... If you want to use Nagakiba, you can end Yura's quest very fast if you wish. Get the reduvia, go to liurna, get the falcon mist, get the two medallions (one of them is in the same castle you get the bloody slash) and then go to that church where the nagakiba awaits you... For Nagakiba you will need 12 in strength two handed and 22 in dex. Put the rest on arcane, vigor and mind. 17 in faith for the lightnings. Endurance at taste (Ensha's armor set could be useful with this set, as it recovers HP on a time basis, but I'm not sure it's worth it).
A lot of good info as always. Could you possibly do a faith build of some kind. I was considering coming back and ive never done faith so i was kind of curious how it would play out
Interesting. I never actually went full-on bleed because I missed Varre's White Mask. I might look into it more in NG+ if I can finish the quest properly. I DO sometimes dual-wield 2 grave scythes with frost on and the hoarfrost stomp ash. That's kind of nice for two stat build ups, and hoarfrost is quite effective, it could do with more range though.
I am currently debating whether to go for Moonveil build or a Bleed build with either Rivers of Blood or Uchigatana for my NG+ playthrough. What I know is that I want to try katanas in ER. Which do you think is more fun to play? Not looking for "the best" just the most fun.
im playing moonveil rn (im new to the game). im following the guides and i can tell you its very fun to play. you have different options on playstyle. you can only use talent skill or you can try to cheese enemies with spells. but most of the time you are dping some poise dmg and it works so good. moonveile has very good range
Man I wish they implemented their PVP exclusive buffs/nerfs earlier. While I absolutely agree with its nerf in the PVP world, I really miss this melt machine when fighting enemies/bosses in the open world.
Listen. I really like your channel. You're the one who turned me on to ruptured crystal tear which I've been showing off and trying to popularize in PVP for like a year now. You make quality enjoyable content and you should not take this as a diss. I just heavily disagree with one of your choices here. But, I have one objection. 45 vigor is not enough at high level. As a rule of thumb, your vigor should ALWAYS be half of your rune level until you reach 60 vigor. There are 2 reasons. 1. Late game bosses do a lot of damage. The damage scaling is insane. 2. PVP damage. I know this is a PVE build. But a lot of your viewers will be engaging in co op. If they are doing co op, then their build needs to be optimized for PVP. PVP is not optional if you are doing any online interaction. You WILL get invaded unless playing completely solo. At 45 vigor late game, an average dog water invader will shred you and drop a bag on your face. It very well might be me. PVP damage scaling is even more insane than PVE. Unless you are playing completely solo you need 60 vigor to protect yourself from bad red men like me. The 400HP difference between 45 and 60 vigor will determine whether you get 3 shotted, or you slip away and manage to heal. Stop skimping on the vigor. Damage is less important than vigor by far. Even disregarding the PVP point. Saying dumb things like "Don't get hit" or "skill issue" is played out and lame. We all know everybody has had their cheeks clapped by Maliketh or Daddygon at 45 vigor. Invaders will do more than just clap your cheeks if you skimp the vigor. And the idea that you just "Won't get hit" in PVP is a bad meme honestly. Have 45 vigor at level 120. I'll see you on Reddit moaning about how the game is too hard or how unfair PVP is. These are some common retorts people use when you rightly tell them to level their vigor. My advice would be to just take your vigor seriously and level it. You'll find your playthrough way less embarrassing. And no I'm not necessarily mocking syrobe here. People who push the low vigor narrative in general. If you REALLY are gonna play completely solo you can get away with this. But any online interaction with this amount of vigor will be a painful time for you.
My vigor is at 70 and it's enough to get me through all difficult encounters. However, since patch 1.08, it has been incredibly hard to solo melania. This is my first FS game and it has been a massive challenge for me. I psych myself up too much for late game bosses and have put them off to level up. I have no idea how people beat these bosses at LVL 150 or lower. I'm at 280 and struggle. I need to learn how to dodge and telegraph bosses movesets
@@bradleydobbs3182 actually my man the softcap is 60 so going to 70 is almost pointless. The health you get from going past 60 is very very very small
#1 this is a full PVE build i never once mention PVP during this video #2 45 vigor is more than enough when i deal 2k DPS and 4k damage total to margit in 2 seconds if you need any more hp with THAT damage then idk what to tell u when u should be shredding bosses
THANK YOOUUUUUU!!! I was using bloody slash and it was strong but somehow it felt underutilized as I kept dumping my stats into str and dex thinking it helped with dmg with blood lolol but my arcane was so underlevled it was insane. now my dmg is CRAZYYY. Thanks man so clutch.
I wish From Soft applied nerfs and buffs to weapons independently from the PvE, it's obvious that the game was mainly designed with PvE in mind, they listen to people who mainly do PvPs which aren't the big portion of the player base, I really wanted to experience the original weapons stats, but well, I'm on PC so there might be a mod for that.
13:09 You actually don't need to beat the boss in Fringefolk Hero's Grave to get the seal! It's dropped by a regular Banished Knight (which can still be a pain, but it's not a boss).
I’m on game plus 3 and still find new things I never new. I didn’t know there was a cave after Rodan fight. I didn’t know there was a sewer with the dung eater. What else am I not getting ? This game is an ab masterpiece. The map design is beyond brilliant. I keep telling myself I’m going to stay focused and compl a task then I’m on the side of a cliff trying to look underneath for a cave just in case nowhere I’m supposed to be. Lmao.
Thanks for the video. Great work! Could you make another video, expanding on how to play with this set up and showing exactly how to use the weapons you went over at the end? A lot of new players, like myself, will still be somewhat confused about reduvia and great knife power standing usage. Do we still use the reduvia’s special ability or do we just attack with both? It sounded like you mentioned blood flame at the end and that it needs to be applied to the great knife. Is that an ash of war? If we apply it to the great knife, do we need to prioritize attacking vs using the special ability of reduvia? Also when do we use the katana? What is the draggon communion seal for and how to use it? I think you made a great video for returning players. New players will be confused about the most important part, which is the build itself and how to use it correctly and in what circumstances to switch between reduvia’s special ability, power standing reduvia and great knife, and using katana instead.
Always felt like I wasn't giving Bloodflame nor the Grease the love and credit they deserved,It's just they felt rather expensive but they really carried me through out my first half of the game but once i got my hands on Seppuku i replaced it cus i can use them infinitely without worrying about grinding resources for the grease or stuck with buffing only one of my weapon with Bloodflame incantation and even after the nerf,The damage potential surprised me and It even manged to help me beat Malenia. But i will try testing it out on NG+ with dual scavenger's swords so cheers for the infos and everything. Also with proper setup,I've seen the Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear also shreds boss like they nothing and can proc stats rather quickly with Bloodboon Ritual,Your Thoughts ?
mohgs weapon is a gimmick, it takes so long to use and activate and you have to stay completely still so 90% youre gonna get hit using it, reduvia is way faster
Thank you for the effort, but I literally have no clue what you were suggesting... is it the 2 daggers? Is it the 2 katanas? is it the dragon communion seal?...
My first experience in this game I sneaky past the golden knight went to the lake , watching the dragon spawn in , run away find a treasure chest in the burning ruins that teleport me to hell and I was stuck there for 2 weeks not realizing you can teleport to a site of grace when above ground, I didn't find 5 grace so I couldn't level up and I didn't have a horse yet, so I died from the blood water and airborne particles..
I'm not the type to give up, so I ran to the town with the invisible mages, there is a site of grace there, that's how I teleported back to start zone but I was left scarred and determined for revenge, but before I did all that i tried to get through that crystal cave so I kept setting my sign down and watch people die learning from there deaths, where enemies spawn and how many there are, probably went through that cave 100 times before i even got to the boss just to see a bull made of obsidian that 1 taps me
But I never gave up, that bloody red zone was one of the first zones of the map I completed, quickly found out that the tiny statue guys were an easy xp farm, and became a god very fast since, now days I play the game too easy but I never played through a second time on a new toon
@@KaleidoscopeofBrilliance honestly that was my only struggle since, once I knew how to level up and farm XP the game became easy, I always join other people to assist areas before I do them solo so I know what I'm getting into
Would a Strength/Arcane build be better? It just gives you access to some of the most OP stuff in the game like: - Dual Blood Beastman's Curved swords - Marais Executioner's sword - Mohg's Sacred Spear -Occult Giant Crusher Equip white mask, raptors black feathers, lord of blood's exultation, millcent prothesis, sword insignia, shard of alexander
🤷🏼♂️ I like to powerstance Warhawk talon set to blood. One with Seppuku, the other with whatever AOW I want. Things like spinning slash, double slash, sword dance, etc proc bleed really quickly since they are technically dealt from just one weapon. Then I just use the unbeatable powerstance SS moveset with their unique R2. Not the most optimal in comparison, but sure is fun.
It surprises me that no-one talks about how the Godskin Peeler has a far higher Blood Build-up than any other weapons when set to the Bleed affinity. I'd like to know the math behind why a occult seppuku Godskin Peeler is worth less than the (paired) Reduvias. Great vid and content like always dude 🫶
Fun fact when blood infused every weapon gets the same amount of bleed as other weapons of the same type. The only acception to this rule is the warped axe which gets the same as lances, greatswords, greathammers, great axes, and curved greatswords. Additionally Colossal swords and weapons all get the same with 159 bleed at 45 arcane. Which means a zweihander will apply just as much bleed as a giant crusher.
I would be worthwhile mentioning that you are on NG+ as dual wielding blood dagger is a notable part of your video, plus your level is very high, which makes it look much more effective.
i'm confused. early in the vid, he says "don't dual wield reduvia" and "rivers of blood has been nerfed". . and then the actual final build dual wields reduvias and also uses rivers of blood . .
Sooo I have found if you wanna just annihilate bosses in elden ring while doing bare minimum use mohgs scepter with high arcane and build your character to just tank everything because it causes bleed so quick and efficiently most stuff dies before you do
Hi dude, how are ya? i love playng with katanas, wich one u think is best atm? Nagakiba (with bloodflame), ROB or Hands of malenia? (just hate mooveil gameplay)
Just wanted to add that if you use fire deadly sin, then chilling mist or blood flame blade it will proc just by standing next to enemies, the build up is extremely fast. also seppuku doesn't work with it I tried.
Nice vid and thanks. I have one question with the build introduced. Why use Great Knife on the right hand? Isnt it better to use Reduvia on the right hand and use Reduvia’s AOW?
yes if you want 1hit bleed procs but if youre out of mana or fighting an enemy that is immune to bleed thats when youd want to powerstance! powerstancing offers less bleed buildup but more DPS
Thanks for reply. My question was: when powerstance why do you put Reduvia on the left hand and great knife on the right hand? Isnt it better to put great knife on the left and Reduvia on the right so that you can use Reduvia’s AOW? Is it because of FP issue?

@@baraklight So... I've no idea what your problem getting them to bleed is. Used the weapon art, fully charged the heavy and popped a bleed on first hit with just 30 arcane :/ I will grant higher levels of arcane will net even better results, but the point was to show alternate ways to leverage game mechanics to proc bleed.
I've been using a +10 black knife dagger and a +10 Reduvia with the dagger talisman and damn, it's pretty solid
Dagger talisman only increases damage on backstabs/crits
Ive been wanting to do youtube and seeing someone doing what i want to do editing their own videos making truly high quality videos inspires me. Even though this is the second video ive watched, Thank you for making such high quality, entertaining and informational videos.
Easily the best RUclipsr for elden ring ive seen to DATE. Absolutely amazing content. You really earned my sub.

You were the first person who put me on bleed, good to see you back!
aw man u have no idea how much this means to me, sure its just a game but its so cool to see this
Been waiting for this updated guide. Thanks Syrobe!
Earned a sub. Was looking for up to date builds since there’s been a lot of nerfs and buffs since I last played
hope to make more soon! what do u wanna see next
@@syrobe any rune farms or runes glitches that aren’t patched on console
8:46 - "When you commit sudoku". I love it !
Bro I think this is better than RoB actually

haha good shit bro! what kinda build u wanna see next?
@@syrobe honestly anything cool getting back into it and want to do some runs with different stuff
Dam just re-downloaded it thanks man your just in time!
First thing I hear watching this guy for the first time is Kingdom Hearts sound effects from managing the menu. Already hooked!
When the algorithm knows what you need

i needed this video thanks bro
A lot of good info as always. Could you possibly do a faith build of some kind. I was considering coming back and ive never done faith so i was kind of curious how it would play out
sure!
@@syrobecan you use the godslayer ?
Interesting. I never actually went full-on bleed because I missed Varre's White Mask. I might look into it more in NG+ if I can finish the quest properly. I DO sometimes dual-wield 2 grave scythes with frost on and the hoarfrost stomp ash. That's kind of nice for two stat build ups, and hoarfrost is quite effective, it could do with more range though.
You can miss the white mask? how?

Love your vids man. Gl on 100k. Almost there
I am currently debating whether to go for Moonveil build or a Bleed build with either Rivers of Blood or Uchigatana for my NG+ playthrough. What I know is that I want to try katanas in ER. Which do you think is more fun to play? Not looking for "the best" just the most fun.
im playing moonveil rn (im new to the game). im following the guides and i can tell you its very fun to play. you have different options on playstyle. you can only use talent skill or you can try to cheese enemies with spells. but most of the time you are dping some poise dmg and it works so good. moonveile has very good range
dont forget nagakebas
Man I wish they implemented their PVP exclusive buffs/nerfs earlier. While I absolutely agree with its nerf in the PVP world, I really miss this melt machine when fighting enemies/bosses in the open world.
the kingdom hearts home screen tones are so nostalgic
#1 this is a full PVE build i never once mention PVP during this video
#2 45 vigor is more than enough when i deal 2k DPS and 4k damage total to margit in 2 seconds if you need any more hp with THAT damage then idk what to tell u when u should be shredding bosses
Great video your voice makes my head want to explode
THANK YOOUUUUUU!!! I was using bloody slash and it was strong but somehow it felt underutilized as I kept dumping my stats into str and dex thinking it helped with dmg with blood lolol but my arcane was so underlevled it was insane. now my dmg is CRAZYYY. Thanks man so clutch.
I remember watching your first build video. You had like 100 subscribers back then lol.
In the video you say blood blade is a zero and double reduvia isn't good, then in the build at then end you suggest both??
Offt the amount of shortcuts and strats that are available on this game to get your build is insane
Bro… you just earned a like and sub. Very underrated. Keep bringing content like this
Thanks, will do!
Glad to be here before 100k. Also when im just atarting my arc-dex bleed build
I wish From Soft applied nerfs and buffs to weapons independently from the PvE, it's obvious that the game was mainly designed with PvE in mind, they listen to people who mainly do PvPs which aren't the big portion of the player base, I really wanted to experience the original weapons stats, but well, I'm on PC so there might be a mod for that.
i agree i think they nerfed it before they realized separate pvp/pve buffs and nerfs were possible lmfao
Thank you for the info dawg, gotchu 1 sub closer to 100k🙏🏽
Awesome build! Can’t wait to use it
Man everytime I hear KDH sounds I just need to smile
13:09 You actually don't need to beat the boss in Fringefolk Hero's Grave to get the seal! It's dropped by a regular Banished Knight (which can still be a pain, but it's not a boss).
oh yeah i forgot but hes pretty nasty to get around
You can also lure this guy to be smashed by a chariot. (You will get smashed too but will respawn with a seal)
I always aggro him and runaway and let the chariot kill him.
Video starts at 02:15. Youre welcome
Lmao.
This is my first time playing elden ring so I will be returning constantly to this vid thank you!!
Ah yes I love committing "sudoku" 8:47
cool vid! laughed at "commit sudoku"
W video been here since day one of your elden ring journey you make the best builds
Is it the 2 katanas? is it the dragon communion seal?...
is this build still viable after the 1.09 update? thanks!
I'm sorry, but that's just too awesome.
Please tell me more about your adventures.
Bro this is the funniest thing I’ve heard 😂

- Dual Blood Beastman's Curved swords
- Marais Executioner's sword
- Mohg's Sacred Spear
-Occult Giant Crusher
Equip white mask, raptors black feathers, lord of blood's exultation, millcent prothesis, sword insignia, shard of alexander

Nice to have you back with quality content!

Your "Fact checking Fextralife" made me ROFL and earned my sub XD
arcane hurts my brain. You made it hurt a tad bit less. Never used the Reduvia so i'll give it a go soon. "ULTIMATE FAITH BUILD" next? 👀
When he said he edits his videos himself I subbed the feels
🤷🏼♂️ I like to powerstance Warhawk talon set to blood. One with Seppuku, the other with whatever AOW I want. Things like spinning slash, double slash, sword dance, etc proc bleed really quickly since they are technically dealt from just one weapon. Then I just use the unbeatable powerstance SS moveset with their unique R2. Not the most optimal in comparison, but sure is fun.
Sub earned for sure! Great stuff and keep it up
It surprises me that no-one talks about how the Godskin Peeler has a far higher Blood Build-up than any other weapons when set to the Bleed affinity. I'd like to know the math behind why a occult seppuku Godskin Peeler is worth less than the (paired) Reduvias. Great vid and content like always dude 🫶
Wait, it is really the best one? I use this weapon and I was gonna search for a better one to bleed buildup
I use dual godskin peeler 1 with bleed and 1 with frost
2024 does this still work? I’ve been searching builds lately and still learning Elden ring
Thx so much man, I was struggling with Niall and this build helped a lot
I would be worthwhile mentioning that you are on NG+ as dual wielding blood dagger is a notable part of your video, plus your level is very high, which makes it look much more effective.
I ran into this video 11 months later. He pretty much just says max your character. 😂😂
I STILL WANT TO PLAY WITH RIVERS OF BLOOD BECAUSE IT LOOKS COOL!
Worth it . Might be nerfed but it just helped me beat malenia
i'm confused.
early in the vid, he says "don't dual wield reduvia" and "rivers of blood has been nerfed". . and then the actual final build dual wields reduvias and also uses rivers of blood . .
As a new player to this type of games this was very informative video.
Thanks.
homie said "Specifically when you commit sudoku" 🤣 instead of seppuku @8:45
Sooo I have found if you wanna just annihilate bosses in elden ring while doing bare minimum use mohgs scepter with high arcane and build your character to just tank everything because it causes bleed so quick and efficiently most stuff dies before you do
Get this man's to 100k subs
He definitely deserves it!!

Hi dude, how are ya?
i love playng with katanas, wich one u think is best atm?
Nagakiba (with bloodflame), ROB or Hands of malenia? (just hate mooveil gameplay)
Just wanted to add that if you use fire deadly sin, then chilling mist or blood flame blade it will proc just by standing next to enemies, the build up is extremely fast. also seppuku doesn't work with it I tried.
the ign exploit got patched, thank god.
I really like how you included info on the patches which I’m lazy to read lol😂
Did you really get what you were told you won?
