When I first started playing the game, I leapt onto Sabres. They carried me through to 1200 MMR in a couple days, I never understood why people stayed clear of them. They punch well above their weight, can take a hit and have a ton of utility. Beast units, love them!

      cause sabertooths suck
no speed, cant kill chaff, get rekt by giants which are the only thing they're supposed to counter, cant shoot air, shiit anti missile utility

hardcountered by too many things, love them too but you usually can't get away with ZERO anti air like in this game. they are proper giant killers tho.

You don't need global temp speed for sabers because it can kill your chaff faster (fangs)

One thing I feel about AMs is that you need the potential AM unit, but if you are winning with out it, keepit as a dps. Once the enemy goes into more callers/farseers, theb leverage the dps and AM. Sometimes winnable boards turn into something awful when AM is picked, and either chaff clear is worsened, or they cant get an early shot onto enemy frontlines. There is no going back from AM upgrades, and those missiles will eventually hit

3:15 "Highest DPS in the game out of all units, believe it or not" I get the overall intent of this (as the higher DPS units are melee/conditional/WF), but this is such a strange hyperbolic statement to make-without factoring beams, Rhinos have almost twice as much DPS (at the same cost) and the total DPS per cost is technically higher for Crawler, Stormcaller, and War Factory (evens out if paying upkeep for 4 rounds). Sabers are definitely up there though; split-up, more damage-focused Fortresses.

Any time I see sledges in saber spec start I win. I tend to go for carry techs on the sledges, range and mech rage clear chaff and emp shut down anti saber techs. Range and doubleshot on sabers kill everything else.
