    I didn't know about that type of stern gland. Mine's the type you have to twist grease in after every engine run. Drips increase even in neutral which I don't understand.

      The one you have is more common and they do drip a lot more than the one I have. The key to yours is making sure you pack some grease into the gland every time you turn the prop. The other cause of dripping can be down to the packing rope wearing out and you not being able to tighten the packing nuts any more on the gland. In that case you need to have the gland repacked to stop the dripping. The last case I can personally think of is your prop shaft being warped or worn too much which will make that gland drip regardless even after repacking the gland. In that case you would possibly need a new shaft.

      Interesting vlog... if possible do away with those roof mounted junction boxes and bring the cable in through the mushrooms.. it'll look neater also. You seem to have lots of room at the front of your boat, will you be putting panels there? Ever thought about mounting using magnets? Saves holes in the roof... looking forward to see what you do.... rob
