Just downloaded this today. I love the fact it is accessible for blind users. I'm blind so this is fantastic.
I'm deleting all my other iOS apps after this. Totally brilliant in its simplicity, ease of use and depth of functionality. This is exactly what I've always wanted. Huge plus for the gorgeous layout -- hats off to the mad geniuses at Ableton for this stellar release. Looking forward to seeing what happens with updates. Thank you Ableton.
Congrats on building such a complicated yet simple app in a brand new market. 🎉
Wow.... This looks really fun. I was wondering if Ableton would ever do somthing like this. Looks really intuitive. NICE!
Actually, this IS and Ableton tool! It may not be obvious by the title of this video, but it is an Ableton tool. I was first introduced about it in an Ableton newsletter. Also notice the blue #abletonnote hashtag above.
This is INSANE! This has to be the powerful mobile music creation app. I’m blown away! To be able to get 80% of an idea done on you phone is nuts!
It truly is like a free groovebox synth in your phone 🥹
This is probably the best iOS beat making app I have used thus far. It’s quick and easy. I’m a hardware standalone but this app has actually peaked my interest in getting Ableton for my laptop and possibly Push2. 🤔😲
Awesome to see an official app from Ableton especially since most iOS apps are based around the Ableton work flow. Looking forward to try the app out.
There's an insane amount of features in this app. Really well done.
Hmm... that voice sounds so familiar 🤔
Yoooooo
Nice work
Great job (as always) Tom
#1
Great voice
This is amazing, shame there’s no arrangement view. You could have it so that turning your phone to landscape brings up the arrangement view and turning back to portrait goes back to session. That way you could really make full tracks within the app!
.... Session view has always been underrated for "Arrangements" ... especially with the Scene Follow Actions in Live 11 ... ;-)
It is a Live looper app basically.
I think its coming some time
This is a great idea!
Does nothing special that’s not already on the App Store. If anything it’s five years behind.
wow this is seriously well though out! Bravo Ableton folks!
Absolutely amazing! Thanks for that!
Fantastic to see Ableton making such an intuitive device for iOS! Great work!
Love it! And awesome work on the tutorial Thomas!
Thanks Brian! ❤
I feel like I was wishing for something like this for so long but I was never really aware of wanting it until it came out. Don't know if it makes sense. Anyway, top quality work, as usual. Amazingly thought out design that actually makes sense when used. And great work on the tutorial too - succint but complete. I expect it will be used by many. Keep up the good work. Cheers!
Very useful tutorial for getting up and running. Thanks!
Amazing! Thank you for this!
I'm so glad there's now an app that intergrates with Live. This could be game changer.
Dam. This is slick. Nice capture workflow.
Using lots of apps like this over the years and working in UI/UX, I gotta say this is quite impressive. This is perfect for hashing out ideas and easily porting it over to a full Ableton session. Can't wait to record a bunch of field samples and then mess with them, so cool!
FL studio mobile is a full DAW.
This works great for getting ideas on the go!
This is what i have been waiting for and big thumbs on on the pricing!
Amazing app! And the most amazing, for me, being a blind musician, it's superbly accessible. Kudos Ableton!
Good stuff... also has that Push2 look and feel. Thanks Ableton! Downloaded
Such an incredible app from an amazing company, so excited to make music on the fly.
This is so incredible im so excited to use this i been waiting for an app and yall delivered
What a masterpiece of UX design.
This is, hands down, the best Ableton's move ever.
Salute... Salute.... Salute.... Salute for your love you present , your dedication, your free give away of hardwork. I Salute and I bow you Sir. Always have a good luck of any project you will be introducing in future. Hellow there Mr Thomas
The ability to import a sample and chop it (which touch devices are so good at) to drum rack pads and a dedicated browser for your device’s onboard audio samples rather than individually importing from another app will take this from a good start to phenomenal. 🤔🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
And simply importing your own samples to a drum rack. eg long press on a pad, go to the local sample browser, preview your sound, then import. 🥹
Koala Sampler has this functionality
@@frankgibson8960 yep. And I love it. There’s aspects of Ableton’s app I’d love to integrate with aspects of Koala. But will continue to use/support Koala because the guy behind it is a G and it’s just GOOD.
That was my question and thanks for posting that .mic recording is cool but I wanted sample import . Thanks for that info
@@richardcnrd8302 koala also has mic recording
Looks great! Ableton always changing the game!
One of the best out now i can creating for mobile creative music !
This came out right on time🎉
I love this company
Brilliant. I love it 😻
Leave it up to Ableton for this clean execution! I’ve had my hands on it for 5 minutes and can already tell this destroys the competition. Not to mention you can sync directly to Ableton? Game over 🔥🙏🏽
Ableton - Hitting all the right 'NOTES' with this app!! 🙌
What a great surprise 🎉 looks great .
YEEESSSSS!! Ableton for LIFE!!!! Can we get a big cheer for the greatest Production software on the planet!!!
Got to Love Ableton 💙
Amazing!
This is great, would be nice to see a compressor with sidechain in there and the ability to write notes into a piano roll.
Hi, thanks for the suggestions! The best way to submit feature requests for Ableton Note is to open the Help menu in Note's Setting Page and tap the "Feedback" button. We're looking forward to hearing any more feedback you might have for us!
Why? Note's for sketching ideas - you'd clearly add complex FX like compressors once you bounch to desktop.
@@AlexNapierHolland because sidechain is often integral to a groove in a lot of genres, and the ability to hear the sidechain while creating can cause creative decisions in the process. A comp for sidechain, or something to duck with, would be exceedingly helpful.
Your mum was nice to compress with a sidechain.
@@Noisa100% agree
Bought it the second I saw it. It looks great
Yesssssssss!! This looks sweet!! Please think about support for Push 2 and other midi controllers! 😁👊
Amazing ❤️❤️love this app!
This app is SO FUN!! I can’t wait for MIDI implementation so I can use my little controllers!
Thank you ❤
Wow, that is feature rich and dense with information. Had to put the video on 75% speed to have my aging brain follow along. Next I think I'll do a show transcript in RUclips then turn off time stamps and down load that to try and re-create the process by following along with the text. Thanks for creating this as it will be fun to lay down ideas on my iPhone then work on them later in Live on the computer.
I don't need this but I really need this!
Looks pretty cool and slick.
Nice UI and sounds quite nice.
I like the fact there are some limitations in this first version as I feel having certain restrictions increases creativity.
I think back about my history of buying synths for example. Normally you get the kit home... flick through the presets and maybe tweak some of the inbuilt sounds but rarely create a new sound from scratch. Maybe because everything is there, laid out for you.
However, after spending a few thousand € and putting my modular synth together it took me about 1 hour to even get a single sound out of it!!
Was frustrating as hell but I can tell you in that 1 hour I learnt more about sound and synthesis than in my whole previous life!
Basically, I think it's good Ableton are keeping this app fairly simple and strictly targeting this as a sketch-pad. I hope they keep it that way and in future only include updates that enhance this 'inspiration capturing' workflow.
At the end of the day I think most creative sparks we encounter are snippets of information that are only 1-4 bars long (not a full blown production!). ... A cool drum pattern that enters your brain... a nice vocal hook, a cool chord sequence you want to remember.
Looks like Note might be a good way to capture these moments and expand on them. Especially considering it's meant to run on the one piece of tech you have with you all day... (your phone).
My only gripe is it's not compatible with Ableton 10 suite. That's a shame...
This is unbelievably good. Woaaaaaaaa
Man Ableton devs always make the cleanest UI
I love Note. Pretty awesome. You can load Atom into audio bus and route into note, which give you a full piano roll as well as midi import. A feature we need desperately is audio out.
Can’t wait for the updates
We need an Android version!❤️😲
Get an iPhone 😉
Any decent application always has this comment… lol. Just get an iPhone for fuck sake. You don’t need a latest pro model. 13 mini for example is amazing
@@savvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvva yeah let's spend an entire salary on a phone to get ableton notes
@@AZ-hc7ie There is a shitload of awesome applications that aren't available on android… And the ones that are available don't perform as well as ios versions…
@@AZ-hc7ie completely understand the statement. But I just switched from Android to the cheapest ipad that was compatible with apps like KOALA SAMPLER🦾🐨, and a lot of the other apps are cheaper than buying a bunch of other desktop software. Yet they have just as good power and sometimes better ui.
(iOS 11 or above is what you'll want)
100$ is worth what you get from iOS compared to the bumps you have with Android. But I just started getting into mobile music and I have to say coming from a analog background it's amazing once you learn the basics...... which can still take time. But you can also still do a lot with Android for music! I highly recommend KOALA SAMPLER FOR ANDROID OR IOS
Very nice! This should be the next Ableton UI ;-)
This is only gonna get better. People are asking for features that I’m sure ableton know people want. I’m hoping this gets to a point similar to cubasis and has either a separate ipad app or more features when using an ipad. With the new m2 ipads coming out this can be a god send.
Its so easy make beautifull music with this, intuitive and very cheap. Amazing job guys. It would be awsome to have midi out to control other synths, we hope many updates but this is an absolutly wonderfull app worths every cent
Thanks a lot for your feedback! You can let our team know directly about your suggestions if you open the Help menu in Note's Setting Page and tap the "Feedback" button. They will then consider it for future updates!
A perfect 1.0 release, deceptively deep where you want it with lots of scope for future development. 5 ⭐️
Sickkkk!
Love this !!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is the most awesome thing I have seen Ableton come out with and I have been playing around with it all morning and meshing things right into my Live. What I would love love love to see, Ableton, is that you have a section that will allow us to record in vocals, instead of just vocal samples. Feature update?
Hi, thanks for getting in touch. To submit a feature request, open the Help menu in Note's Setting Page and tap the "Feedback" button. Hope this helps, let us know if you need more help!
It’d be definitely good to have at least 4 audio tracks with elastic audio that plays full song length, in sync with the clips
@@Ableton can you get more sound kits like plug ins for note
@@AbletonHe just gave the request your abelton...
I think we're seeing Ableton for iPad beta. Very intuitive!
ok now this is cool
I’ve been here like 5 times now. Gr8 app, great tut 🎉 #StrongWorkYo
Note is so intuitive
Excited to see this for rOS Apple Glasses
Thanks ableton , great app , nice price , super value
Ableton to the WORLD⚡️
IT'S AMAZING! In only 5 minutes in between flights I created a song idea that I will further develop on my ableton live!
Hope you will add the arrangment view soon with essential feature. Compose music literally everywhere would be a real game changer!
Very impressive
Amazing App 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Awesome app, so easy to use and creative. No video manual needed actually…
Best iOS music app already 👌
Very nice! Pls add a tuner for git/bass - would make this app even more compelling!
Very wise to use only ableton native effects, makes for seamless integration
Yess werk thank uuu
ok, this is a fairly cool. getting ideas down when you're not at the computer is always a win. plus it looks useful for learning when you just have that random thought of 'what if' or 'I wonder if that would work'. But I also just realised this isn't applicable to me because its ios. oh well, cool none the less
100% bro
It is a live looper.
@@HOLLASOUNDS true
The guy speaking sounds South African! This is awesome guys! I am going to download this now.
You "NEED" to make a dedicated Ableton controller app for IOS and then Android.
Now this!!
Yea i'd jump on that wagon 100%
but then people will stop buying the controllers....that's why they havent done it right?
@@nickbowers I think it would be more situational. Like you always have your phone on you so that could be more on the fly whereas you arent carrying a PUSH around on you all the time. Like if im gonna do some heavy work, i'd always go back to the PUSH. But if i'm somewhere and we're just gonna hop on and jam, well let me pull my phone or tablet out real quick just to be apart of it. "in theory" lol
@@nickbowers Could be.
It would be awesome if chords and arpeggios be available
sooooon bro :)
You can use the sampler , theres a bunch of different chords samples included. Not the same but its an alternative til we get an update!
I know that voice... that's ELPHNT. Cleanest tutorials
I just bought this and started playing with it. I’m not sure it’s possible to have a more complicated app for just making loops. My God.
But this tutorial is great wow cool stuff
Legato and loop recording pleaaaaaseeee! I love it already!
would be crazy if it had the wavetable or analog integrated, + ability to send your patches to your pc. id love to make patches while taking a shit. im on android though but still this is awesome.
This is interesting!!
Super excited to buy this when it comes to Android [=
Ableton just locked down Ableton Note tutorials from 10,000 RUclipsrs.
Thank you!
This is a fucking game changer, guys! Thank you ❤
I prefer to use this bc as much as I love Ableton, the interface is intimidating AF
I've been enjoying this app a ton so far. I'm wondering if there's a way to record a sample and intelligently break it up with transient markers or manually divide it, rather than repeating the same sample at a different pitch.
This is a great initial release and I am sure that features like MIDI control, audio tracks, clip editing, inter-app audio, and arrangement are coming in future iterations. The Ableton dev team is amazing and I imagine that this will evolve into a full mobile DAW at some point.
Great stuff!
It is attended to be a live looper and not a DAW. Search live looping on RUclips.
This looks so good. Is there any timeline for an android roll out? New iPhone is the same price as the live suite these days 😂
For 7 Euro this app się a steal. Great little powerhouse.
this is almost perfect, all I need is a record audio clip feature, so I could record guitar and vocal ideas over a beat!
try koala
Thats pretty cool! when its gonna be available for mexico market?
Awesome app, amazing that it syncs to Ableton too. Please add resonant Low Pass and High Pass filters, and a compressor, and a master track! 😁
Elephant got the gig, nice!
this looks really nice! I hope I will be able to get chords from Scaler into the app, and sample iOS synths into the pads....
