He rushed home from Australia before she passed, to tell his grandmother he had met the 'one' Mary ❤

There was always something very appealing about Queen Ingrid. . . .someting warm and grandmotherly.

But she also ad balls of steel. It was no coincidence, that she used so much time and effort in South Jutland in the late 30ies....she was the best weapon against nazis, you could imagine. And she fucking hated the nazis from the start. Which is why, in south Jutland, you would even find communists, who became emotional, when talking about her.

@@Jack-py3cv Sorry - the best I can do would be to ask you to google the sentence" Der hæges smukt om kontinuitet og sammenhæng i vort eget ærværdige kongedømme. " and run the story thru google translate.
What I can tell you is that in 1995, at the 75th anniversary of our reunification, the leader of the German minority made a clear apology for the behaviour of this group during the nazi era.
He made that open apology in a speech in front of the Queen - and Ingrid.
On youtube there is a docu series about her: Queen for all times: Ingrid as a child - partly translated into English.
BTW - she was the one who told the king to go on his morning rides during the occupation. She fucking hate the nazis and, according to queen margrethe, her first words, when she learnt of the German occupation was: "These shits".
There is a fun story from Northern Jutland. For security reasons she and her family could not visit a cottage, they had near the Limfjord. So she asked a local man to take care of the building.
After the war, they met again, and he said to her: "I have to confess, I used the estate to train the resistance fighters and to hide our weapons.
Ingrid said: "That was the idea".

Sge was a great queen and she rallied to her adopted country when the nazi occupied denmark she openly resisted then by walking her daughters parms though the streets if Copenhagen and Bsolureky hated nazis . She encouraged resistance woe be it secretly and sge even flew the flags of denmark abd other country's from her residence she refused to fly ye bZi flag too . What a wonder queen she was ger father the king if seen at that time begged her be to be less openly hostile yo he occupiers but age ignored him he feared for the safety of gersf abd her family a truly great lady

Useless to you because you are envious. We all adored royals. We like royals. They are models of fashion, class and prestige and formality.
