I wish the mixing palette had a toned background I guess I can just paint it in. The other thing is I don't like how the pigments in the mixing palette also mix with the white background. And if you could have the same way the brushes are laying down the paint on the actual canvas wished it did it on the mixing palette as well. So like if I'm trying to mix watercolors or oils it should act like that medium in the mixing palette as well. Also I think it would improve the work flow if when the cursor is inside the mixing palette if you pressed the numbers 1-3 it would activate the paint, blend, and color picker maybe even a number 4 for erasing those hot keys would definitely make the mixing palette a more functional one. I'm not trying seem naggy and I really appreciate what this software brings to the table just think the mixing palette could be improved I think it's a big deal for us artists who want to get the most out of a digital software but still have as close to a traditional experience as possible. Aside from that I truly love Rebelle I got onboard on the 4th version and can't wait to see what else you guys roll out in the future!
Hello @Public Opinion, thank you so much for your feedback on Rebelle! We hope to bring new possibilities and improve the mixing palette. Thank you for your suggestions!
Many thanks again, Justice. I can't tell you how helpful your video's are in better understanding Rebelle 5. Please keep them coming!
Thank you for your feedback! Justice is already working on more videos that should be available soon.
Again, Justice, thanx for explanation! Love Rebelle 5!
Glad you enjoyed it!
So far my only niggle with the oil colors is that a lot of real oil colors are transparent till you add an opaque color like white. With Rebelle 5 oil paints like burnt sienna already have white added so they are a little muddy/opaque looking and behave more like acrylics. Maybe something they will look into in a later version :). Otherwise I really can't knock it, Rebelle 5 is an amazing piece of software and a nice step for anyone wanting to traverse fairly seamlessly between traditional and digital art.
Adrian, thank you for your kind words and for your feedback on pigments! We hope our future developments will come closer and closer to the realistic experience.
i wish the color set has the name up at the top instead of justt on the color set itself would make it easier to read
why didnt the person sending those color sets the ones with hex codes put the name. when i want to know thhe color then i have to go look it up by hex and then rename the color and in some of those sets were are taling an hours work or even two.
how about the oones with color sets that you can click on them from a amenu and have rebelle go look up the hex codes and change the hex codes to the name. gee guys i have no hex in my head since i ran an ibm as400 which i retired from. maybe an idea. as far as important well who knows. there are lots of things i have now to let you know thats needed.
a problem with Rebelle 6 Pro on my Mac. The Mixing Palette can't be activated. Does not appear after Command-Shift-M or using the Windows menu. Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?
Hello, please email us at support@escapemotions.com and let us know your systems specifics and Rebelle version you use. We would need more information to look at this case deeper.
If you don't mind me asking, How do I export my own color sets? I have one I'm using for a project at school, and I'd like to export it/save it for use later.
You can find the step-by-step manual in the Help section here: www.escapemotions.com/products/rebelle/colorsets.php
I wish the mixing palette had a colorpicking circle to compare it to your active color, I'm colorblind and the mixing palette is kinda useless for me.
Hi, thanks for your suggestion. The Mixing Palette went through some improvements and additional features were implemented since this tutorial. If you download the latest 5.1.1 version, there is an option to pick color in the Mixing Palette window.
