  • This session is geared towards current seniors and recent graduates.
    Are you confident in your ability to make informed, sustainable financial decisions? Money can be a complex topic, and every one of us has a unique story and individual needs, and that was true even before the onset of COVID-19. This session will share strategies to help “launch” you into post-college life, including budgeting, savings, credit, and loans.
    Presenters:
    Betsy Everts is currently an Assistant Director at One Stop Student Services. As part of her role, she directly oversees the financial wellness outreach campaign for students, staff, and faculty. She began working at the University of Minnesota as a One Stop Counselor and Customer Representative Supervisor. Betsy has her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, and a Master’s of Science degree in Educational Leadership. Betsy's passions include financial wellness, student development, and guiding parents and students through the financial intricacies of higher education.
    Amanda Temple is currently a Student Finance Counselor at the Office of Student Finance at University of Minnesota. She has worked in financial aid for 10 years, five of those at University of Minnesota, and sits on the Academic Support Resources Financial Wellness Committee. Amanda is committed to financial wellness education for college students, helping them make sense of their finances now and making a plan for the future. She has her Bachelors in Elementary Education from UW-Eau Claire and Masters in College Student Personnel from MSU-Mankato. Amanda is also an adjunct with the Leadership Minor at the University of Minnesota.
