We spray differently but if it works, it works. People do have below the waterline top coated with awlgrip or awlcraft but they are also informed of the risks. If you launch and pull out the same day and rinse off, then there’s usually no issues. But by all means, do not leave the boat in the water for extended periods of time. I liked the video but did not like not being able to hear what you were saying because of the music. Lol. Anyhow, 🍻 from Virginia 👌
I am using this to seal my artwork. I have done it in the past but its been about 4 years since I last worked with awl craft. I forgot how the application process completely works. Am I able to spray one coat let it completely dry and then possibly add some paint then spray again? Or does the layer have to be tacky between each sprays? Im worried by letting the layer completely dry that the transparency might be foggy.
Is there a certain sprayer you recommend to use? I know for gelcoat a regular automotive sprayer doesn’t do the trick. Not sure if it’s the same with this stuff
My local paint supplier told me that I couldn't use acrylic urethanes below the water line. I told him I've been doing it for years. He said oh yes it will hold up great but it is just bad for the environment. So spray away!

When using Awlcraft 2000 do you also use a clear topcoat?
Awlcraft 2000 does not require a clear coat.
Did you use a HVLP or LVLP spray gun for this job?
I think it's conventional gun he used as he said 20 psi and hvlp is 10 psi or less
Do you have to wet sand, buff and polish after painting?
Is this Color Oyster White or Beige?
Thought awlcraft was for above waterline only
You can use it under the water line! Just make sure you apply it over the proper primer and absolutely don't try to brush or roll it on!
@@FiberglassFlorida Awlgrip themselves state is for above waterline only and yes you are correct, they say should only be sprayed
@@ShorrockPaul I don't think it is that important for boats that live on trailers.
